  1. Between the ages of 3 to 11 all kids wear a wrist band to which the color represents their muster station. It is put on before they board the ship. If the ship has an emergency and the child is in Adventure Ocean the wrist bands show what muster station to take them too. If the child is having a problem in Adventure Ocean the “paging” is another technique to contact the parents, while they are off doing their own thing.
  2. Hey, we are on the same sailing as you and stay on board for the 4 day after. We went to Junkanoo in January and took a taxi but others have walked there. I don't remember how much the cab cost was as my friend did not let me pay. Google maps says it's a 12 minute walk.
  3. @GnarleeDude thanks for the review of Freedom. We are doing a B2B on Freedom in July in the same cabin. We are going to take a relaxed approach on port days and it was nice to read about your thoughts on board the ship.
  4. Last I heard it was 1 guest and 4 crew. I would think they have more guests than crew though so your account makes more sense. Either way it’s 5 people. 🙏
  5. Owen came home from school today, 2 more full days left. Then 4 days of exams/year end assignments. Today they had the sports assembly and he showed this to us when he got home. An amazing thing to get, but for some reason Lisa and I aren’t surprised.
  6. Maybe I could book the room and open a full serve laundry after the World Cruise. 😃
  7. I suspect it will be removed after the world cruise. For some reason I thought I read that a cabin was converted into the laundry.
  8. LOOUUU during the Olympics too if I remember correctly. Saw this at our hotel when getting post game Pizza. You will get the reference.
  9. Robyn, I’m glad that you were able to join us. Even though we had never met it felt like we had know you for years. That’s what it is like to have an extended CC family member. No different than the Bella Family and the Dani Family right here. I’ve always been a proponent of things happen for a reason, and this is a prime example. We will take you up on that dinner, and you can share your friend’s and family’s reaction to what your evening was like. I certainly know it will be an evening we will never forget. Thanks to all that put up with my posts today. Like I said, there was a lot to “unpack” from the trip but now my luggage is put away.
  10. And with that the 4 of us were ready to leave the arena. The thousands that had been out front had long left and there were just the stragglers leaving the arena. Robyn walked back to our hotel and Lisa and I walked her to the tram that goes back and forth to the Bellagio where she was staying. She didn’t know it existed but said it worked great. The price is right too, it’s free. She texted saying she made it back safe and sound. We grabbed some pizza, headed up to our room and finished packing. Our alarm was set for 6:30 the next morning. The trip was an experience of a lifetime.
  11. We also had one other interesting thing happen at the game. Part way through the third, when the score was fairly evident that the Knights would win, the father and son beside me had a staff member stop by and hand them a sheet of paper with a few wrist bands different than the ones we were wearing. Lisa said to the man, well that’s interesting. He leaned over and said quietly to Lisa and I that he wasn’t going to say anything, but then told us that he was a part owner of the team. We knew that he wasn’t the majority owner but our jaws still dropped. By that time he knew we had flown in for the just the game and we’re going home the next morning. This is the same guy we were high-fiving after every goal. He went to share with us that he started the game in the owner’s box and then moved down to sit with the fans. The new wrist band gave him access after the game to go onto the ice for photos and the celebrations after. After the game was over and just before he was about to leave we both congratulated him. I gave home a side hug and said to him that I knew how I felt, I could only imagine how he all the people in the organization felt as well. Here are the father and son. From a bit of on-line research over the years the family had distribution rights to Coors, The Palms Hotel, an NBA sports team, and the sister was/is on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Not everything was successful but all that doesn’t matter on this night. Tonight was their night. In this photo he is being passed the cup. We stayed for about an hour after the game ended. We watched the hand shakes, the players skate around with the cup and after all of that the families of the players come onto the ice. The reporters were out too. At some point it went from being a sporting event to a family reunion with the players, coaches, trainers etc.. welcoming their parents, wives and kids onto the ice. When you think about all the time they are apart during the year, and all the practices the parents drove their kids to it makes it that much more special. Just a few photo examples of those moments below. Makes me appreciate all the time we spend doing things with Owen.
  12. Here is some video of the game. We all know the outcome so there is a bit of pre puck drop excitement and the final minute of the game. Having sat on both sides of a winning team and team that lost a championship game, I know how it feels both ways. It still was pretty sweet to see the team we cheer for win.
  13. And then there was a bit of Celebrity among us. I saw these guys. We were fortunate that our seats got us into a VIP area. In that area Owen got his photo taken with Roberto Luongo, who played for Vancouver and the Panthers. He was gracious enough to do it, and after said to Owen “I hope you have an unlucky night”. Owen responded with something like, same to you. They both chuckled about it. @Tree_skier I bet you remember him. As we walked to lower halls you could hear the Vegas players kicking the soccer ball and just see them through the curtains. We arrived at a small room which had an open bar as well as lobster and carved tomahawk steak and other snack items. It was a down here where Owen and I each saw Wayne Gretzky as well at separate times. No photos though. Headed down to our seats. Crystal and Nate spotted us too. Owen got some ice from the Zamboni drivers to take home. Yes, it’s here in a small container. See if you can spot Brad Garrett in the audience. It didn’t take us long. Lower rows if you need a hint. Gary Betman was here too and he got booed. LOL And a couple signs to boot. A Letter Kenny reference for those that watch it.
  14. Just a pit of the pre-game vibe. It carried into the arena and didn’t end for the entire night. When the gates opened for viewers the square was full for the watch party. On Wednesday I was photos of Aoki was out late night partying with the team and the cup.
  15. We met our fellow CC member in the hotel lobby early and headed over to Toshiba Square where the pre-game party and watch party was being held. It was a total atmosphere. Some were celebrating early and this was hours before the puck drop. Jimbo, that mug is just beer. Some getting temporary tattoos. Some getting real ones. The line was too long for me. Glad our hotel was steps away though. This fan was ready to go. We were too. But not before world famous DJ Steve Aoki did a set. After him the Air Force did a fly over. I was not quick enough to film it but you could feel it in your body. If you look up Knights mascot Chance was on the balcony looking down.
