  1. Back home now. Very proud of myself for keeping up on this thread the entire time I was gone. That alone is a mission.
  2. Final thoughts are crafted and will be posted between loads of laundry tomorrow. Lisa and I chatted often during the cruise and on the trip home.
  3. We have been home for about an hour. Suitcase are unpacked and laundry is sorted. Grandma got her bottle of gin and has headed home. Tomorrow we will have her over for a steak dinner as an extra thanks. Lucy also appears to be happy that we are home. I think. I also can’t believe how the hydrangeas have grown. We got 3” of rain while we were away.
  4. We are currently in a ground stop. That’s our plane. It’s been in a hold position for a few minutes.
  5. Thankfully no. Other than the poor quality air and Owen having ball games cancelled we have done well.
  6. A couple randoms from this morning. Which do I drink from. So, who do I know that would me from China? Sent it straight to voicemail. Even my voicemail has low confidence in this this message all in Chinese. Blocked and deleted. Zero balance was the goal. Thank-you Heidi for the help.
  7. From cabin to gate in 45 minutes. Priority departure, preordered Uber driver who was early, Delta Priority, and TSA pre check make all this possible. From this… To this. Miss my flip flops already.
  8. That’s it for tonight. Uber is ordered for 8:45 for the trip to MIA. I’ll bring you up to speed on the trip home. Hopefully I can have the final thoughts together before tomorrow night.
  9. We got to experience the trumpet player on two occasions. The first time was a total surprise and the second time we were waiting for him to boat out and serenade us. Pretty cool.
  10. if you need bigger you’re probably have bigger issues. Don’t leave food in your car because the bears are smart. I also go with TSC, especially if you have one in your area. If you do a ground wire around the perimeter you can ground it to the same grounding t-pole for the fencer for such a small system. if electric ribbon is cheaper than wire it is easier to use. Gallagher is the Cadillac of electric fencing equipment but not the most economical. The drier the ground, the less sensitive the the system becomes but I’m used to dealing with multiple miles of electric fence. We would use 4-5 grounding posts.
  11. Agreed on the fencer. One hot wire a couple inches off the ground should keep anything from going under or climbing over. Use some insulators off your t-posts or zip tie them to your wire. If you think you need another higher up do the same. If you really want to make it hurt, run a neutral wire so the critter will have a better ground for the zap. For such a small distance it shouldn’t be needed but it is another added layer for boosted fencer power of shock.
  12. Ankle and pool report. Ankles are fine. I think there are more than 17 in the pool. We have a steady diet of pool, sun, and shade.
  13. Lunch today on the pool deck. on the walk to El Loco Fresh the cannon ball competition was just starting up. They announced a first in Freedom, a female competitor. Lunch, homemade nacho salad with a side of pork.
