  1. Speaking of……. I took the new John Sanford book, “The Investigator” as reading material while cruising last week. The main character is Letty Davenport (Lucas’s daughter). It was a good read, and I can see him developing more in a series with her character.
  2. Well, I am absolutely exhausted after all the storm cleanup. Five hours yesterday after we got home, plus ten hours today, but all the cleanup is done. Of course, that includes doing some cleanup work at a 90 YO neighbor’s house when I saw her out working. Anyone want a custom fastback Lincoln? One of the trees from the storm did the work on it I knew we should have planned more time between trips. We have breakfast with our granddaughter at the school tomorrow, then lunch with our grandson at the school. Then we come home and pack. Flight to California is Wednesday morning from Cleveland. Ready for summer of fun 2.0 as we bring our California grandson back to Pa.
  3. Prayers for baby Ginny. It always breaks my heart to see children in the Children’s hospital. They should be healthy and happy, and not have to deal with the things that they have to.
  4. We booked Voyager for October 16, 2022 when we were onboard. We plan to drive to Boston, since it is only about 9 hours.
  5. That was one of my comments in the post cruise survey. It was so strong, you could smell it as soon as you came out of the dining room.
  6. We were on the same cruise. Don’t count on the Wi-Fi. It was horribly slow on Allure. Average time for a cruise critic page to load and be able to post was between two and a half to three minutes. It was the same even trying to load the Royal Caribbean website, and you would think that they would want it to load fast. Yes, there was Covid onboard, but all Royal ships are in Orange category except Grandeur.
  7. Very bumpy ride from Ft. Lauderdale to Pittsburgh today. Got home to check out the storm damage from last night. No trees down on our property, but lots of branches and leaves. Largest branches were about 6 inch diameter. A couple of our neighbors were not so lucky. They lost a couple 30 + inch diameter trees. I spent about 5 hours on storm clean up, and will have a full day tomorrow to finish it. Meanwhile, Susan got all the laundry done an put away. She is amazing!!!
  8. I miss being on it, and I just got off this morning. Maybe it had something to do with trying to find food, and mixing my own drinks. Susan kept rejecting my sea pass card.
  9. safe travels. Hope your place didn’t get any damage from the storm last night. we are boarding in 5 min. First time in a long time without a flight delay.
  10. Waiting for our flight to board in about 15 minutes. Will have to see if we sustained any damage from last night’s storm. They say some will be without power for 3 days. Son-in-law’s car took a tree branch through the windshield. Some trees are down, and I guess they are trying to determine if it was a tornado touchdown. No one has been by our place yet, so who knows what we will find.
  11. Walk off was simple. Left Starbucks around 7:25. No line. The only time we broke stride was for 5 seconds as they scanned our face. In the taxi, through airport security and at the gate by 8 am. Walking the airport to get some exercise now.
  12. Doing a walk off with our luggage this morning. First time in an elevator, and it was a breeze. Walked to the forward bank to avoid the WJ rush. Elevator came, and it was just the two of us for an express ride down to 5. Easy!! on our way off after we finish Starbucks.
  13. The pool sounds like a good idea. We are headed there soon, then Mama Mia this afternoon. It must have been cold enough in our cabin this morning that baby penguins started to gather. I can’t say enough about our cabin attendant. She has been fantastic. As has our wait staff. Picked up some extra envelopes to give all of them something extra for their great service.
  14. You know the cruise is coming to an end, when you already check in for tomorrow’s flight home. Sitting at the pub with the first drink of the day. RP is very crowded with their 2 for $25 T-shirt sale going on. It wasn’t that long ago it was 2 for $20. Inflation is everywhere!
  15. That was the second time we have done this excursion, and plan to do the same one when we are back in January on Harmony. Some friends are joining us on that cruise, and they will really like it.
  16. I think you are spot on with all those comments @Lionesss Sue. The only thing I don’t know about is the elevators, because we haven’t been in one. That will change Sunday when we walk off. Loungers are hard to come by at 10 am. I have managed to find some, but have had to carry them from one end of the ship to where I want them. Relaxing by the Solarium bar this morning.
  17. Good morning. Looks like a nice sea day. Cloudy on the horizon, so this was sunrise. Our current location looks like we are racing Explorer
  18. Some of the sunrises on this cruise have been disappointing. Todays But, at least I am cruising. Can’t believe we only have two days left already. I think I have missed some on this thread. Hard to keep up at sea.
  19. Jeff Tracta was the Headliner show tonight. What an amazing, wide range of voices. One of the best headliners we have seen on Royal. This is a “Do not miss” show. 70’s night in the RP tonight.
