  1. Thank you. I will need to check those out, because I will need something to book when I am onboard next week. The more I look at that cruise that @Sea DogGreg booked, the better it looks for a fall 23 cruise. Plus, the prices are so low!!
  2. We will still have our California grandson here with us then. Maybe I will have to see when his passport expires. Kids passports are only good for five years. I would like to take him on a cruise, but by the end of the summer, we will be looking for some relaxing, down time with just the two of us.
  3. I wish that was this year. Looking for something for the fall, and that would have been one of my open weeks. I love the Voyager. By the way, anyone have any recommendations for cruises that are not during these weeks? Aug 21-Sept 5 Oct 30- Nov 6 Nov 20- Nov 25
  4. Went out tonight to celebrate Siete de Mayo. My wife could not finish her frozen strawberry margarita, so I had to help her out with this much that she left me. At lest they were a little bigger and better than the ones we got on Cinco de Mayo. Moral - always go Mexican for margaritas.
  5. All this talk of ages, and suddenly I am feeling older today. 😂😂 One of our standard tv shows to view when I was growing up, was the Ed Sullivan Show. Much of what I consider the best music of our generation was spotlighted on his show. I wore my hair long in the early 60’s, but with it slicked back. After the Beatles appeared on the Sullivan show, I combed it forward and headed to school. That hairstyle earned me a prompt trip to the Principal’s office. My, how things have changed. Clint Eastwood movies were always big on campus when I was in college. The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly was always playing, and some of my fraternity brothers were obsessed with it. In fact, one just sent all of us a five page trivia test on the movie. And, of course, when Dirty Harry came out, it seems we had several 44 magnums appear at our house and several of us would head to the range on weekends with them.
  6. M*A*S*H is one of those shows I watch an episode or two every night. That is, except tonight when we binged the first 4 episodes of the new Bosch series. I was about 7 pages behind today, because we spent it watching our grandkids. Heavy rain here all day long.
  7. Loved the Benny Hill show. When we were in Southampton last time, I wanted to go to the cemetery where he is buried. Maybe next year when we are back.
  8. I have that one, plus many other original posters from the 60’s and 70’s stored in my attic. I may have to go thru them sometime to see if any are worth anything. I remember there being an Easy Rider poster among them.
  9. They are likely dealing with a worker shortage like most places. They ramped up to quickly without having sufficient staff to deal with problems.
  10. Usually, if you answer the questionnaire that way, you will get excused. Was only ever called once, and was excused because I knew the arresting officer and the prosecuting attorney.
  11. IMDBtv has just been renamed to Freevee, the free Amazon streaming service. You have to watch with commercials.
  12. It is 44° here this morning, and our fog is getting thicker. We have about 100 feet of visibility. On another note, I am awaiting the start of the Bosch: Legacy series tomorrow. I read they have already announced there will be a season two. It looks like they have some characters from the old series in this one: Harry, Maddie, and Honey Chandler. It will be streaming on Freevee and Prime. Looking forward to it.
  13. I didn’t know they stopped. I was following a Celebrity thread for a B3B, and they got kicked off after the 2nd leg. They were reimbursing them $250 a day for room and $100 a day for meals. Just thought Royal was the same.
  14. I saw that on a thread here, that they stopped it fleetwide on May 1st. They are still testing for S2S. We have one of those, but in January, so hoping all testing will be gone by then. They may just want to stop paying room and meals for asymptomatic people they kick off with those positive tests.
  15. Same on our end of the state. Fortunately we are only a couple miles from Ohio where it is $0.40 to $0.50 cheaper per gallon.
  16. So one project I got assigned this week was to replace the climbing wall on the grandkids play set. Monday morning I went to look at it, and found several rotted boards. So after a few measurements, it was off to Lowes for some treated lumber. It has been a while since I bought lumber, but I couldn’t believe how expensive it still is, and the poor quality. I must have looked through 100 pieces to find the seven pieces I needed to cut for the project. $120 of lumber looks like this. The new wall went up yesterday, but the new climbing holds didn’t get delivered till late yesterday. The new holds went on this morning. And since we watched the grandkids after school, it has already been kid tested and kid approved.
  17. The only time the Bionic Bar was busy on Oasis was on boarding day. All the new cruisers were trying it out. I never tried it, and don’t plan to.
  18. Since we are talking a little about hockey, going to games was one of the things I really enjoyed doing with my son when he was young. Even when he was away in college, we would go on his breaks. A few years ago, I got a DVD set of the 10 best games in Penguin history, and I was surprised that we had been to six of those ten. The one I thought was the best was what was known as Mario’s comeback game. There was a lot of speculation on when he would make the comeback, but I had bought the tickets based on my son’s Christmas schedule. It was just dumb luck that the game turned out to be THE ONE, and I could have sold the tickets for ten times what I paid. Anyhow, his old room is now decorated with some memorabilia from some of those games. Game program and ticket from Mario’s comeback game DVD of the game
  19. Wonder what they will do for S2S cruises then?
  20. Add my happy birthday wishes to the list for @BonTexasNY. Been really busy lately and haven’t had much time to post.
  21. Something tells me it will be a long, hard fought series. Those are killers when you have a goal overturned, then to go that many OT.
