  1. Yes, I was surprised to see it included in the batch of regular cabins. But, over the photo above, there is a big wall on the left side so that's a big downside. So, I guess there are pros and cons that equal out to perhaps a con for that cabin. So, yes, maybe the lower price is understandable compared to other cabins with larger balconies.
  2. Hmmm, the even room side is great for viewing Ocean Cay, but I dont think its port side at the other ports. Is that right? For port side, I need an odd numbered room?
  3. Hahaha. Yes. I'm also planning a cruise on that other line, lol.
  4. Also, when looking at the desk plans, what do the following symbols mean? 1) Two dots side by side. 2) one square. 3) One triangle. I looked for a key but could not find it. Thanks
  5. Oh, this is very helpful. Thanks so much! Yep, dont think I want to be right against that wall. Thanks
  6. Hello all, I am thinking about booking a cruise on the Meraviglia for this October. I am looking at the available balcony cabins. Cabin number 9222 is available. When I look at the deck plan on the website, it looks like that cabin has an odd shaped balcony. And the balcony possibly looks bigger than other balconies. The cabin right beside it also is a little different in shape, but does not look as big. Cabin 9222 is also a little bit more inward than some of the other balconies. I did a search for this cabin. I did find one really good review. No pictures or videos though. Everything else is just the basic information for all B2 category balconies on the ship. Does anyone know what that type of balcony is on that cabin? Also, what are the pros and cons of being in a balcony cabin that's a little bit more inward versus being a bit more extended over the ship. Is it indeed a bigger balcony? Any possible issues? Like with it being inward, will people on the deck above, be able to look down at me on my balcony. Also, what's the best side of this ship for views when docked in ports? The even or odd side? I think it's the odd side except when parked for COCO Cay. Is that correct?
  7. Hello all, For those of you that sailed out of Port Canaveral during the past few months, what was your experience? I will be driving to the port to sail on the Meraviglia. I've never driven to that port. Any tips? I watched a video and the author described it as easy, but he was just driving there. He wasn't actually going through the process of doing everything to get on a ship. 🤔 Any recommendations or lessons learned to share regarding that Port to board the Meraviglia? Thanks
  8. I love the Seashore. Sailed on her in February for my birthday. I'm really not sure what's up with people and all their negativity. Have a great time. Enjoy the great views from this ship.
  9. I check periodically for price changes. Not for anything related to COVID. Testing isn't an issue for me so I'm not bothered by the current policy. I mean, why on earth would I give up going on a cruise just because I have to take a COVID test? That's not rational to me. It's really not a huge deal for me to take the test. There are much more complicated things in life compared to getting a COVID test. So, I'm sailing on. Bring on the test. Its really not an issue for me, and I definitely wont stop cruising with ROYAL because of it. I love cruising too much for that silliness.
  10. Thanks, but i do not have access to that right now. I dont think i will have access to it until Oct when we book the next cruise. Thanks
  11. Maybe this is a silly question, but what is the Taste of Royal?
  12. Great for folks that want to go on Carnival in order to skip a test. I have no problem staying with Royal and doing the test. Enjoy your cruise. Good night.
  13. Yes, plus if that means fewer folks will be on Royal ships because they are sailing with Carnival and NCL, I see that as a win for my next Royal cruise, hahhahaha.
  14. I have no issues with the testing. I've taken several cruises since the restart on multiple lines. It's fine with me. Cant say I always want Royal to follow what Carnuval does. "Follow Carnival" is actually a phrase that cracks me up, lol.
  15. I've never had an issue with pre-cruise testing and still don't. Interesting thread.
  16. Wow, birthday cruises for children. Graduation cruises. Etc. Man, I feel like I was majorly slighted by my parents while I was growing up . No one ever gifted me a cruise as a kid. The first cruise that I ever went on was the one that I paid for, lol. On a serious note, I have no suggestions for this situation. Others have offered their recs. Good luck.
  17. Worked great on my last 3 cruises this year
  18. Sailing during summer school break and peak vacation season for families and extended families is not my ideal experience. Waiting for the summer madness to be over.
  19. $316 is definitely Way overpriced for what is NOT included in that space. It's just not an exceptional thermal suite.

  21. This is always an interesting topic to read when I see folks chatting about included toiletries. I guess I'm an odd person. I hardly ever use toiletries that are in cruise cabins or land hotels. I always travel with my own personally selected body and hair products. I have skin that gets dry if products are not a good fit for me. And my hair needs products that are hydrating. Plus, I like enjoying fun products while on vacation. Hotels that offer mini size products in their bathrooms usually luck out with me because I never touch them. Especially their lotions that are so thin, watery, and drying. They might smell good, but are rarely moisturizing. My hair type certainly needs products better than what's included in cruise cabin showers or hotel bathrooms. So, I think it depends on the person's individual needs when it comes to using what is included. The standard does not suffice for all people. One thing I try to enjoy during cruising is to not rush showering and getting ready. So, I enjoy a leisure shower with nice products I bring to enjoy for fun and nice moisturizing body and hair products since I'm usually cruising somewhere that's warm and I will be in the sun a lot. So standard lotion in the cabin, just wont cut it. Nice toiletries is just a little addition to pleasure of the vacation and moisturizing products is a necessity for me, especially on sailings that will include a lot of warmth and sun exposure. Happy sailing everyone.
