  1. I do not drink either or go to bars since I dont drink, but I enjoy Coco Cay for sure. But, it might help people share info with you if you share what type of adult activities you are curious about, what you enjoy, and/or what you're looking for so they can let you know if its offered for free. One video was posted, but there are tons on YouTube. Maybe they will help also. I've never actually paid for any activities there and had a good time during each visit. But, of course, everyone enjoyed different types of activities and amenities. Happy cruising !
  2. Thanks for the pictures. Some look like it's a mix of sides. Like, in some, starboard faces the dock, but the pory side faces the actual island. Like the Symphony pictures. Is that right? There is a view on both sides, just a different view. I mention the Symphony just because some of the view is just the ship on the other side versus the actual island. Asking for clarification. Sailing on Symphony in December. Thx.
  3. Hello, This is not an answer to your question. I just wanted to say that I think we are on the same cruise on Symphony. Final payment is due tomorrow for me also. Really looking forward to being on Symphony again. 🙂🙋‍♀️🛳🏝🎉🤗. Good luck with your decision.
  4. The vibe is awesome! Would jump on that opportunity again in a heartbeat! I dont really cruise for the impact of having other people on a ship. Fewer people on the ship is lovely to me 🙂🏝🛳👍🌞
  5. I understand and appreciate your effort. Thx.
  6. The last thing I worry about on a cruise is whether or not someone else knows that I wore a certain item before. I live in dresses and love them. So, I wear dresses every day. I am not ok re-wearing anything without it being washed. So, I use the laundry option. That's on 7 day sailings. If it's a back to back, I might add 2-3 more dresses for the second week so I have enough dresses to cover both weeks, including the laundry service. It's never crossed my mind if someone will recognize that I'm wearing the same dress. Not sure why they would care. I have also washed items in the sink and let them air dry. Again, I just cant wear items again without them being cleaned. Feels a bit uncomfortable to me. Enjoy! Added: Most of my dresses are colorful, so I also dont worry about only bringing solids that can mix and match. It's a cruise. I like to wear ccolorful and fun clothes. 🙂🙋‍♀️🛳 So, I dont worry about bringing stuff that can go together. Fun dresses that can be washed is my strategy.
  7. Its listed in the planner for my Symphony cruise in December for $179, lol. I thought $158 during the Labor Day "sale" was a bit pricey. OMG!
  8. We are certainly hoping for a repriced cabin, hahaha. Thanks
  9. Yes, This is the formula that I was referring to and the formula that I used. This cabin is actually the connecting room on the right so it was easier to calculate. However, some folks recommend not being in a cabin with a connecting door because you can hear more sounds through that door than if it was a solid wall. So, we might try to change rooms if another cabin in that area with the bed location we want opens up. Is it true that you hear more noise/sounds from your neighbors when you are in cabins with connecting doors? The cabins on both sides of us are only for 2 so we are not in between cabins that hold more people. Thanks
  10. Nice question. Which ship are you cruising on? I would like to know this for the Symphony and well.
  11. Does anyone know what changes or updates are planned for the Escape?
  12. Yes, I am aware. I am also aware that user frequency of this source or site varies by person. For example, my next sailing is on another line so I'm not on here as much as I am on their threads. My cruise after that one is on NCL. Plus, I take a break from the entire site at times due to the negativity posted here by some users that seem to just like to argue, prove points, point out flaws, challenge others, etc. Just unnecessary behavior. Plus, not everyone lives on CC. And not everyone knows how to use all the features here to obtain information. I dont assume the worse of people just because they ask a question that other people already talked about. It's really not that serious. if people don't like a question or dont want to repeat themselves, they can just ignore the question. It's so simple. I cant imagine living as grumpy as some people present on here. Life is too short. Good night.
  13. Hello, I know that your post was months ago, but I hope that you will see this message. You said that you enjoyed crazy lobster, but if it was you and your wife only, you would go to Maya Chan? Please share why? Whats different between the two? Thanks
  14. Hello, your post is from months ago so I am not sure if you are still active on here. But, I am writing to ask what was the name of the resort and beach that your driver took you to. Thanks
  15. Thank you. It was a simple question. I'm not sure why some people jumped to huge conclusions and others sent such ugly responses. Oh my. That's unfortunate.
  16. I think the person was just sharing a preference. that's ok. I cruised early during the restart and enjoyed it as well. Before the pandemic, we experienced what we experienced and that's what we knew and expected going forward. During the pandemic, some of us were able to have a different experience and some of us enjoyed that different experience. It's just stating a preference.
  17. I understand your point about PTO and varying leave amounts for different people. But, I thought the OP said in their post "I actually dont mind coming in a day early." I thought the issue was not agreeing to that in advance or not knowing in advance and they had a question about the hotel for that one night. I also understand that hotels in Rome can be costly. So, I get it. Regarding days off from work, I travel a bit more than my friends and family. I'm employed, not retired. I earn a set amount of leave each year and have to manage how I use it. Whenever anyone wants to travel internationally with me, we sit down and talk about leave time from work. That is as much a factor in planning as money is. When I was newer to this or younger, I would do tight planning due to having less leave time and money for traveling. Also, i just didnt think planes would not leave when they were supposed to or arrive when they were scheduled to arrive, lol. Now, I dont plan that way. For example, a friend is joinng me on the Symphony in December. It will be their first cruise ever. We talked about the pre-travel day, the travel day, the cruise days, and the post-cruise days. It's all a part of the equation. In the past 2.5 years, we have learned that all kinds of things can happen that we are not fully in control of. Not to mention all the fun with cancelled one delayed flight recently. My friend is a disabled veteran, has a special needs young adult daughter, and has a deceased spouse. They already have tons of stress. PTO is not one I want on their plate during this hopefulky fun first time experience. So, we planned it so time off from work would not be another stressor. We booked when enough PTO was available to cover the front and back end. I understand that not everyone can do that. But, for people I care about, I do what I can to help reduce stress. And, for me, if I dont have the leave to take a trip that I want to go on without leave time being a factor or stressor, I wait until I have that time. To me, travel is a luxury, not a necessity, so I wait until I can do it comfortably. That's just me and how I roll now. We are all different. I read the OP's question. I dont know if NCL will book and pay for their hotel. But, I'm glad for them that they have a flight scheduled for a day earlier. Hopefully they will arrive a day earlier. Enjoy your cruises. Also, I am not trying to be argumentative. I think that's wasteful, especially on the internet. Just sharing about my experience. 🙂
  18. Man, definitely sounds like something I would not want to go through, even if someone else is taking care of the arrangements and paying for it.
  19. Ok. Yes, I've had The Key before. There was a lot of chatter about this topic yesterday. The language in the planner has changed since earlier during the restart. Just wanted folks to be aware of the language. Things are constantly changing and evolving. Expectations can be disappointed. Hopefully it works out for everyone. Thanks
  20. Man, as others have said, I would be thanking NCL for booking you a flight that arrives a day early. It's great that you don't mind that. It's a win for you. Anyone that has seen anything about air travel lately or has traveled for cruises knows that this is a benefit to you and it is wise planning. The $300 less flight you saw would not even be a consideration for me. The possible drama of same day flights is worse. Even if NCL would take care of any issues, who wants that stress and lost cruise and vacation time. It's not worth it. If NCL pays for the hotel or NOT, this is in both situations a win. It's no fun starting a cruise with stress about a flight or hotel. Book a hotel and enjoy Rome before your cruise. Have a great cruise 🌞
  21. In the planner for my upcoming cruise, it says no. The language on the webpage is, "All Beverage Packages exclude any beverages served inside licensed Starbucks stores". I'm sure others may chime in to answer your question as well since Starbucks coffee beans are now being used in the cafe and that is not an exclusion. But, those are not licensed Starbucks kiosks.
  22. Thanks. Yes, I will ask again in another month and see if anyone has experience with it and then again a month later. We have time. Glad to hear that it has restarted. But, cant say just the bridge being interesting making it worth that hefty cost. I will keep an eye on the cost as well. Yes, I'm familiar with Matt's blog. Thx.
