Our British Isles cruise on Regal in 2023 in a mini suite with Princess Plus is just over $7k and the same cruise in exactly the same cabin for 2024 is over $12k! Crazy!

Yes, they will refund my credit card for the full amount of our deposit. Also, our excursions were cancelled and we had to rebook them and pay for them again. Good news is most of the cost of excursions are paid with our OBC. This sale price is for new bookings only, so that’s why we couldn’t just refare. Sometimes that happens. Pleased with such a big amount!

Our next cruise on Regal Princess for September 2023 went down $1663.00 for our mini suite! Called our CVP and we had to do a rebook instead of refare, but that’s fine. In December it went down $350.00. We’re happy! Sun Princess TA no luck yet.

Unfortunately, according to a number of recent threads, this is an ongoing problem with casino bookings. Perhaps you could read through some of these for any tips someone might have posted. Good luck!

On our last cruise to the Mediterranean (2019) we were told that if we were on a shipped sponsored excursion that included a winery, such as Tuscany, and if we purchased wine there, we could take said bottles to the MDR without corkage fee. We did so, and enjoyed wine in the MDR every evening. If we didn’t finish our bottle, it was held for us to drink the following evening. Hopefully, this is still the case.

On Royal class ships we try to book L101. Most forward with a huge balcony. Whilst at sea, it does get windy, however if you sit closer to the sliding door, you’re a bit more protected from the wind. Cruising slowly is no problem at all. The views are breathtaking from these balconies and we love it. However, you do feel motion, being that far forward and that high up. If you have motion issues, you may need meds.

Yes, but we have another Princess cruise booked for September 2023 so I have to check both! Such problems, such a bother, right? lol. If either of us see any updates or price drops on Sun Princess, we must update each other here on CC. Where in Ontario are you? We live between Blue Mountain and Meaford. Retired from Toronto and moved to “the farm” lol.

When I have my morning coffee, the first thing I do is check my Princess reservations. Cabin, excursions, extras and invoice. Never had an issue, but you can’t be too careful. I would call my CVP and let her do her thing!

Darn! Well, I guess both of us will have to rely on someone else’s review. Sailings start in about one year or so, but I’m sure we’ll see photos or videos as time goes on. I’ll look for your posts in the future!

Yes, I’m really considering Hurtigruten cruiseline now! lol Par for the course and I really don’t mind. Checked and my price hasn’t changed since Thursday when I originally booked. Good on you, tho!

I hear you and I agree. We’ve been sailing with Princess since the ‘90s, so this will be our first huge ship on any line. Some things look great, others things I guess we’ll see in 2024. My DH is very enthused about trying it, so I’ll go along with an open mind. Your sailing is before mine, so I’m relying on your totally honest review when you get back! Please!

Have you checked your itinerary on the Princess website to see if’s changed there as well? When you go online to Manage My Cruise, check your excursions. The app is notoriously inaccurate at times..

Nope, just the ladies get seats. Gentlemen get to stand or swim for it! You and I will be just fine! I really have to laugh at folks so concerned about the perceived class system. Celebrity, NCL, MSC, and others have had it for years and we’ve never even noticed it….zero impact on us personally. I have a feeling this is much ado about nothing, but to each their own. I will find out in 2024!

Hoping to get in on an upgrade bid. Unfortunately, can’t do that prior to final payment. At this point we’ll wait for a while to make a decision on our cabin. Currently booked on Regal British Isles September 2023 and our mini suite has dropped a number of times. Just refared recently to include Princess Plus and it was very close to the original price we booked originally without it.
