  1. We did exactly this in 2019. Walked off at 7:30am, due to a delay which was not a cruiseline issue. Had our car service waiting for us. We used Rome In Limo and I highly recommend them. Pre-booked and paid for two months prior to our cruise. They monitor the ship’s arrival time and arrive accordingly. We got to FCO at 9:15 ish. Our flight was also at 12:45, flying Air Canada. We had plenty of time, even with delays in disembarking. You should be fine.
  2. Usually, I’m in total agreement with your posts, but this time I beg to differ. I’m not in any way a Princess cheerleader, but this was not the fault of Princess. I mean no offence to you.
  3. The son had to be 18+ years to buy the ticket and get in the casino. It’s completely irrelevant if this is him in the photo or not. The point is the son is not a young child, but a teenager. I don’t know why you have issues with that.
  4. Why would they not have said “This is the check being held by a crew member”just to clarify this was not their son. The son had to be at least 18 years old to get in the casino and purchase the ticket in the first place. This photo is a young man at least 18 years old. Even if this is not their son in the photo, it doesn’t change anything.
  5. Why would they post a photo of a kid who is not theirs? Nothing to be gained by that. Just curious.
  6. A “heartbroken child”? Really? Please look at the photo of this child. He is a teenager and was aware of what he did. He should be apologizing to his family for all he put them through and Princess went way beyond what these people deserved.
  7. In the photo, I see your son holding the “check”. How did he get it? I thought that it was presented to the winner by the casino. I’m confused. Also, in the “pay to the order of” line, it’s left blank. Your son’s name is at the bottom on the line “for”. Did everyone who had a ticket get to hold the check with their name on it, prior to the actual event, for promotional purposes? Sorry that this happened to your family and negatively impacted your vacation.
  8. You will love Luminae! Once you try it, it’s hard to go back! So jealous right now.
  9. Luminae is fabulous, both food and service. We tried Aqua Class twice and we just didn’t love the menus in Blu. Tables for two are three inches apart, so not private at all. The food was okay, but we actually preferred The MDR! Food is so subjective and many folks love Blu, so I hope you do, too! Have a wonderful time on both cruises!
  10. We’re booked at Moxy Southampton hotel which is two minutes from West Quay Mall. There are many, many restaurants in the mall, from fast food options to fine dining. We’re staying at Moxy for three days prior, so intend to eat at the mall or other restaurants within walking distance.

  12. Are you asking only for Princess or other cruiselines, too? For Princess we have Regal, British Isles, September 2023. We also have Celebrity and HAL cruises booked.
  13. If you go on the website, just look at Princess Plus options. I just found it the other day, myself. These gelato, candy, cookie/pastry with multiple toppings, desserts are available at the venues that serve ice cream. I know we’ll try one, but doubt if we would have two per day, perhaps one every other day, if that. Why Princess thought we would be thrilled to get these added is beyond me. Enjoy!
  14. I called my CVP this week for a refare of our cruise. She answered on the third ring. Business taken care of in five minutes. I just have no interest in spending hours on hold or having to tell my story to three different people before getting a resolution. The key is finding the right CVP for you. It might take a couple of tries, but so worth it in the end. Obviously, a good travel agent would also work. Good luck!
  15. What a shame you didn’t enjoy your Princess cruise, so frustrating! I’m not surprised you decided to go back to Celebrity. I sincerely hope you have a wonderful time on whichever ship you choose. Have you thought about Edge class ships? I’m totally in love with them!
  16. During your cruise, and specifically on port days, the spa will offer different discounts on spa treatments including massages. Just go to the spa and ask. You can’t get discounts precruise. Is it expensive? In my opinion, yes it is and during your treatment, there is a never ending dialogue on how you should purchase their extremely over priced products. You need to tell them upfront “No sales”.
  17. Don’t do it. So doubtful you would make it in time, even under the best of circumstances. Take a later flight or stay overnight in Vancouver. Why put yourself under that stress!
  18. We sailed on Rotterdam for her maiden voyage TA, Amsterdam to Fll. It was wonderful! You will not be disappointed, I’m sure. The food was very good and the service exemplary. I loved the Music Walk!
  19. Because people are frustrated, disappointed, and in some cases, downright angry. They have reason to be all of the above. Princess is not offering what they promise. Princess used to offer a consistent product that we all enjoyed for many years. Now, not so much. More and more people are going to branch out to other cruiselines looking to get good value for their money and a vacation that meets their expectations. Right now, for a lot of people, Celebrity offers them what they’re looking for and at a fair price. Is Celebrity more expensive? Yes, it is. But you really do get what you pay for.
  20. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. You are not alone in your opinion of Princess. Many recent reviews reflect the same thoughts as you and it’s getting quite disheartening, to say the least. It appears that cutbacks and cost cutting have diminished the Princess product, as we knew it. My husband and I have one more cruise booked with Princess for September 2023 and I believe it’ll be our last, unless things change by then. In the meantime, we will be sailing with Celebrity on Apex and HAL on Rotterdam. We have sailed both and had zero complaints. I understand how frustrating and disappointing it is when your vacation does not meet your expectations. I hope your next cruise, on whichever line, is much more enjoyable.
  21. Call Princess if you booked directly with them using their customer service agent or if you booked online or if you have a CVP, they can take care of the cancellation and If you used a travel agent, they could do it for you. You cannot do it online, sorry.
