  1. Honestly it’s not a big deal because you still have to produce your vaccine card at check in. I can assure you 99% of the time it will validate before your sail date..
  2. Cocoa Cay is one of our favorite ports! A little research or just by asking questions could have provided you with a whole different experience. Maps are provided and the tram drivers tell you about every stop….
  3. The unvaccinated must take a PCR only….. A regular PCR can take 24-48hrs to get the results. However also accepted is the rapid PCR or NAAT test given by places like CVS, Walgreens or Urgent Cares. These test result are back in less than 2hrs…
  4. Someone who is not vaccinated cannot take a home supervised test, which is a rapid antigen test. They can only take a PCR…..
  5. No……we didn’t wear them during the shows. Just when we were moving around in crowds….
  6. In my case we drove home from the port. Did stop for gas but it was pay at the pump outside. Our couple of potty breaks were at rest areas and we were not near anyone. I have no doubt I contracted covid while on the ship……not that it matters because as you said you can get it anywhere.
  7. I had covid after getting off the Mariner in May….. I sailed on the Harmony two weeks ago and just did the rapid antigen test as we usually do and presented the negative results to board…..
  8. We sailed on the Mariner in May and I tested positive 2 days after getting home. We just sailed on the Harmony two weeks ago and this time I did wear my N95 mask while standing in line to board and in the terminal. I also wore it every time I stepped on the elevator, in the Windjammer, when entering and leaving the shows and anytime I could see I was about to be in a close crowd. I also wore it at the end of the cruise to debark the ship. Whether or not it helped or I just got lucky I do not know, but I felt like I was doing all I could to protect myself and neither my husband nor myself came down with covid this time.
  9. If you sail on Sunday you can test anytime starting 12:01am on Friday. We also use the Emed proctored tests so we usually do ours very early on Friday morning before we drive to Florida…
  10. Just put it in your carryon with your other toiletries
  11. From the port to Orlando is a 45-60min drive depending on traffic, so you would need to figure that into the actual time you may be spending at Sea World…
  12. There is also one behind the head of the bed where the phone Jack is. You have to be a contortionist to get it, but it is there…..😂😂
  13. That is our favorite hands down!!! We are staying there in September and again in December…. However they don’t really have a park and cruise option unless you want to pay $40 per night!! Their lot is not huge so I think it’s a way to discourage it..
  14. We park at the port for the convenience of walking off the ship and getting into our car. However it is cheaper to park off site. Park Port Canaveral is located about a mile from the port. They have a big paved and fenced lot and their shuttles are great. Use the discount code at the top of their website for the best price… www.parkportcanaveral.com
  15. My travel agent is very responsive!! I can ALWAYS reach him on his cell phone, text, email or private message. He has helped me tremendously and I appreciate all of his hard work…..especially during these crazy post covid times!!
  16. We have used the Emed proctored home test five times now with zero issues….. We always do ours very early in the morning and have never waited more than 1 min for a proctor… We will continue to use this method as long as pre-testing is required…
  17. We had friends that surprised us in May. We frequently text each other especially if one of us is cruising and the other is not. Our friends texted us and said “so are you onboard yet enjoyed your first drink”. And we replied “yes we are finally onboard and hanging out at the Viking Crown (Mariner) waiting for the rooms to open”. A few moments later we looked up and they stepped off the elevator!! We had no clue!!! It was so awesome!!!!❤️❤️❤️
  18. If you are assigned Traditional Dining then that is the dining room where you are supposed to dine. You don’t get to flip back and forth at your convenience…
  19. Tried a patch once and it dried my mouth out so badly I could barely swallow. I also started having problems with my vision and removed it immediately.. Never tried another one…..
  20. There have been a lot of people on the boards that have successfully used them…. The biggest complaint I see is they are virtually impossible to reach by phone if you have a problem or need any help….
  21. We love the Hampton Inn Cruise Port but they have a smaller parking lot and do not encourage parking there while on a cruise by charging $40 per night!! Country Inn & Suites is across the street and they do a lot of cruise parking and have a great shuttle…. Also check Residence Inn, Homewood Suites and Springhill Suites as they are all in the same area and all are about a mile from the port….
  22. We used ours on the Rising Tide on the Harmony last week….
  23. Wow!!! So sorry that happened to you!! So far we have not had a problem in the last five cruises….
  24. I think we will stick to Emed. We have never had a problem reaching them with a question and their customer service is wonderful. Also we do not have to schedule and appointment and have never waited more than 1min to get our live proctor online…. I know it’s more expensive because we have to pay for the test kits but it is worth to us just for the peace of mind….
