  1. If you sail on Sunday you can test anytime starting 12:01am on Friday. We also use the Emed proctored tests so we usually do ours very early on Friday morning before we drive to Florida…
  2. Just put it in your carryon with your other toiletries
  3. From the port to Orlando is a 45-60min drive depending on traffic, so you would need to figure that into the actual time you may be spending at Sea World…
  4. There is also one behind the head of the bed where the phone Jack is. You have to be a contortionist to get it, but it is there…..😂😂
  5. That is our favorite hands down!!! We are staying there in September and again in December…. However they don’t really have a park and cruise option unless you want to pay $40 per night!! Their lot is not huge so I think it’s a way to discourage it..
  6. We park at the port for the convenience of walking off the ship and getting into our car. However it is cheaper to park off site. Park Port Canaveral is located about a mile from the port. They have a big paved and fenced lot and their shuttles are great. Use the discount code at the top of their website for the best price… www.parkportcanaveral.com
  7. My travel agent is very responsive!! I can ALWAYS reach him on his cell phone, text, email or private message. He has helped me tremendously and I appreciate all of his hard work…..especially during these crazy post covid times!!
  8. We have used the Emed proctored home test five times now with zero issues….. We always do ours very early in the morning and have never waited more than 1 min for a proctor… We will continue to use this method as long as pre-testing is required…
  9. We had friends that surprised us in May. We frequently text each other especially if one of us is cruising and the other is not. Our friends texted us and said “so are you onboard yet enjoyed your first drink”. And we replied “yes we are finally onboard and hanging out at the Viking Crown (Mariner) waiting for the rooms to open”. A few moments later we looked up and they stepped off the elevator!! We had no clue!!! It was so awesome!!!!❤️❤️❤️
  10. If you are assigned Traditional Dining then that is the dining room where you are supposed to dine. You don’t get to flip back and forth at your convenience…
  11. Tried a patch once and it dried my mouth out so badly I could barely swallow. I also started having problems with my vision and removed it immediately.. Never tried another one…..
  12. There have been a lot of people on the boards that have successfully used them…. The biggest complaint I see is they are virtually impossible to reach by phone if you have a problem or need any help….
  13. We love the Hampton Inn Cruise Port but they have a smaller parking lot and do not encourage parking there while on a cruise by charging $40 per night!! Country Inn & Suites is across the street and they do a lot of cruise parking and have a great shuttle…. Also check Residence Inn, Homewood Suites and Springhill Suites as they are all in the same area and all are about a mile from the port….
  14. We used ours on the Rising Tide on the Harmony last week….
  15. Wow!!! So sorry that happened to you!! So far we have not had a problem in the last five cruises….
  16. I think we will stick to Emed. We have never had a problem reaching them with a question and their customer service is wonderful. Also we do not have to schedule and appointment and have never waited more than 1min to get our live proctor online…. I know it’s more expensive because we have to pay for the test kits but it is worth to us just for the peace of mind….
  17. We just sailed out of Canaveral on the Harmony last week and they did care what your arrival time was. Upon arriving you were sent to the designated time line for your reservation. Our time was 10:30 and we got in line behind the Suites. They also had marked separate lines for 11:00-11:30, 11:30-12:00 and 12:00-12:30. Those arriving for even later times than these were told they would have to go over to the sidewalk and wait…. Not sure what happened after we went in, but they were definitely checking.
  18. We did our safety video at the hotel before leaving for the terminal. Once onboard we went straight to our muster station and they checked us off. And yet….on every cruise…..as late as 3:30-4:00pm they are still begging people to complete their muster!!! I say cut their card off until they comply!!
  19. *Cocoa Beach Shuttle *Cruise Control Transportation *GoPort *Cortrans Shuttle (for the return as they only do port to airport runs & airport to port runs)
  20. We were on the Harmony last week. They had designated areas for the assigned boarding time. Even if you arrive early you are still sent to your assigned time line. We had a 10:30 check in time so I have no idea what happened to the lines behind us but they were checking…
  21. we are 70ish and have used these six times now. We find them to be so much less stressful since we can do them at home on our schedule
  22. I think your plan B sounds like the best, easiest and quickest….
  23. We always get trip insurance but never from the cruise line. You can get better coverage for less money through a third party. Here is where we always go to purchase and some plans will insure kids for free…. www.insuremytrip.com
  24. We book Boardwalk balconies a lot and like them. We have never had a big problem with noise. We are usually not back to the room until 10:00 or so and by then everything is over at the Aqua Theater. Our first choice is an oceanview but we don’t have a problem booking a Boardwalk if the price is much better…
