  1. Woke up early to thunderstorm and torrential rain. Rain gauge on our deck is overflowing! It was a good morning to stay in bed but I’m up and having first coffee. As of now some of today’s outside chores are delayed and with an 80% chance of more rain maybe postponed. It will still be laundry day. Watched a pretty good race last night but that also succumbed to rain. Rain is better then drought and forest fires but too much rain can cause crop damage. We have spent a lot of time around Edinburgh and not sure what Teddy Bear for lunch entails. Surely not what it sounds like?🤔 Thanks Rich for the report and to all our faithful contributors. Have a great week. Bruce
  2. All I get to drink on this diet is coffee and blah water. I really am sober as a judge!☹️
  3. OMG I start the day following a @RedneckBob post!😱 Need to get ready for church soon. Sugar cookies or any sweet would be fantastic at this point. Still on diet and so far 13 pounds have disappeared over the horizon. We had some pretty heavy storms yesterday which brought us more rain but the worst of the storms passed just South of us. OK need to make myself presentable for church and that is quite the endeavor. Enjoy your Sunday, prayers where needed and a gracious thank you for all who faithfully contribute to the Daily. Bruce
  4. Spent most of June on Journey cruising two back to backs. We both disembarked feeling we had been on a perfect cruise experience.
  5. Late to rise to a beautiful 85 degrees. Hope the weather holds up for our neighbors 50 miles West of us. In Pensacola folks will be lining the beach as it’s the annual Navy Blue Angels aerial demonstration show. Pensacola is their home base and their show always brings big bucks to the local economy. Got some chores to do so thanks for the reports and do hope you enjoy your weekend. Bruce
  6. We just booked a Seabourn 14 day repositioning from Montreal to Miami. We had no plans to cruise until January on our Azamara World Cruise. Our TA notified us on this and the offer was so good we booked. Though still booked on some Hal cruises we have really enjoyed some different experiences on other lines. With so many days on Hal it was getting a little repetitious. The experience on some of these smaller ships has even exceeded our beloved Prisendam cruises. So we have really enjoyed our new cruising experiences. Wish we had done it earlier.
  7. Debbie those look delicious. If I could make it I would invite Roy and Sandi over for dinner.😊
  8. Good morning. A wonderful sleep until 7:30. Woke up to somewhat overcast skies and a temperature of 77F. Will rise to 90 and a 51% chance of rain at 3 PM. So 49% chance it won’t rain. Enjoyed seeing our small group friends last night and we have not discussed any plans yet for today. We did get the trust for our estate done yesterday and it should all be completed for final review and signatures end of the month. @JazzyVcaught my mistake yesterday on the dates for our 21 October Seabourn cruise. That’s the latest we have done a Canada to Florida repositioning cruise so I’m not expecting much foliage and places like Bar Harbor may be closing down for the season. Somewhere they will be serving lobster and fat belly fried clams. Prayers for baby Murphy and Carol’s friend. Have a great Friday and enjoy your weekend. Thanks to Rich and our loyal contributing editors. Now here’s the comics!
  9. Stand corrected. We are on the 24. Can’t keep track of everything. Thanks for correction. Bruce
  10. No it’s a 14 day repositioning cruise October 12. I guess you could disembark NYC or Charleston.
  11. Our TA keeps sending us info on booking an Azamara cruises. So I presume they are comfortable booking Azamara.
  12. @RedneckBob Hey saw your truck parked out on Main Street. Getting ready for lunch I see.
  13. On our recent visit to Valencia we visited the ancient castle in Xativa but marveled at the modern complexes of Valencia’s beautiful museum and arts centers. It was here that our ship bussed us to these complexes for an Azamazing Evening that was truly amazing.
  14. Good morning. After yesterdays showers we are awakening to 76 degrees which will climb to 88 with chances of more rain. We were in Valencia last month but most of our touring was outside of town. After our last cruise we had no intentions of booking anymore cruises until our world cruise in January. Our TA that handles our non Hal cruises sent us an E-mail of a deal so good that we bit hook line and sinker. This October we are sailing 14 days from Montreal to Miami with some of the standard stops, but one new port at Shelburne, Nova Scotia, two days in NYC and a long day in Charleston. We have often wondered what it would be like to cruise on a high end cruise line. We are now going to experience that on Oct 12 on the Seabourn Quest. This afternoon we have an appointment with a lawyer to set up a new estate plan that will make it the easiest for our children and grandchildren upon our passing. This evening we return to our church small group for some fellowship and learning, So a somewhat busy day for us. Thanks to all who contribute and prayers for those with special needs or issues. Have a great day. Bruce
  15. Kirk, I agree but also feel that if there is going to be a successful and attended Meet & Greet it needs to be established and committed to on the Roll Call prior to cruise. Roll Calls work best if they have a dedicated leader/organizer overseeing the Roll Call. Bruce
  16. What a beautiful setting and estate. Would be a wonderful place for a CC Daily group rendezvous.😊
  17. Our last two cruises the Meet and Mingle was held on embarkation day at 5:15 in the Living Room Card playing area or on Onward the new small library section in Living Room. IMO 5:15 is a poor time as most folks are enjoying sail-away. On a Intensive cruise itinerary it maybe the only feasible time. It was listed both times on the Insiders timetable of events.
  18. Good morning. Currently 80 degrees and starting to climb. Well, it’s summer in Florida it is what it is. I also have a dental visit and cleaning today. I had a butcher of a dentist growing up so I never look forward to these visits but they are necessary. We were in Vigo last month and it’s a beautiful city with many hills to climb. They have a great seafood industry there and we elected to go to Oyster Ally for some delicious oysters, scallops and razor clams. For some reason it feels like Monday but it’s Hump Day. Enjoy the rest of your week. Thanks to Rich and his great staff of daily contributors for making the Daily my first read of the day. Some pics of Vigo. Meme’s to follow.
