  1. Welcome aboard later today. We are currently in dense fog with the fog horn blaring. We’ve had a great 18 days on Eurodam and hope you enjoy you’re one nighter!
  2. Just waking up and to the sound of the ship’s fog horn. We had a fantastic dinner last night. The food porn pics have not synched from phone to I Pad yet so will post later. We don’t arrive to noon so I have elected to lounge in this morning. David Burke is giving another food demo at nine. After dinner we went to the Showroom and enjoyed the featured entertainer who sang a Carol King Tribute. Enjoyable evening. Thanks for the reports and features. Bruce
  3. Just telling about our experience I’m sure some will report the cruise from hell.😁 Earlier on my post I noticed and mentioned dinner tonight with Kurt which was a typo. It’s @KirkNC and wife Barbara. Goodnight and thanks for all you do.
  4. Currently on Eurodam and I have seen that some days they have had DJ ballroom dancing for an hour or so in the BB King Lounge. Have not attended so can’t add anything more. It’s been early evening before regular performances begin.
  5. We had an outstanding presentation today that was very well attended and received by guest. It basically told of what goes on behind the scenes on how the ship functions and its complexity, and crew interactions. Second time they have done it. In the end many of the crew from different departments came on stage. Reminded us of days of yore. I’m happy to report that this has been a very good cruise experience. Menu’s have been well planned, not many repeats, tasty and service like days of old. That being said we are in late 7:30 upper fixed dining and many tables are empty. Entertainment has been versatile and entertaining. I believe someone at Hal has been listening. Today we still have 29 cases of Covid and only 3 new cases so numbers are going down and surprisingly many are voluntarily donning mask when in showroom and moving around the ship. The only way you know someone is quarantined in their cabin is a tiny red dot on their cabin door. We don’t gamble but the Casino has been really busy when we pass by during the day and at night. Sharing a table with @KurtNC and wife Barbara at tonight’s David Burke dinner. Last we heard eighty guest have signed up. We arrive in Victoria around 11:00 AM tomorrow. Life is really good on the MS Eurodam! Bruce
  6. Yeah! New thermostat and cabin temperature is returning to normal.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
  7. How cold is our cabin? The Concierge just took a temperature reading! It’s 51 degrees F!😱
  8. Good morning! Just waking up and staying in bed for awhile to stay warm. Room is still cold and by the feel of things the sea is still churning. We are looking forward to tonight’s David Burke Chefs/Wine dinner. Last night we were surprised when he and beautiful companion came into MDR and dined at a table next to us. We kind of assumed a guest chef of his fame would have been a guest of Executive chef or officer. We did hear some sad news yesterday that the medical emergency we had after leaving San Diego the other night was for the death of solo lady fellow guest. @dfish Debbie I do wish you a Happy Birthday. @kazu Jacqui I do pray your procedure goes well with little pain and healing results. Definitely feeling the Pacific is a little rougher than yesterday. This segment of cruise one gets the sense there are a lot of new cruisers onboard. Went to main Showroom last night and enjoyed three very talented men and a woman put on a high energy singing performance. I believe we are experiencing some new shows for the Alaskan season. We haven’t seen Step One Dancers since the beginning of our cruise. We have enjoyed the new entertainment. Time to get up and moving. Thanks to all who contribute to the Daily read. Bruce
  9. @bennybear I do hope all goes well for you tomorrow.🙏 Well we have been rolling a bit today and that trend should continue. The sun finally broke through but with it being 53 F and windy it’t pretty much been a stay inside day. Tonight is dressy night so we will see some new faces. Covid cases are lowering with 39 guest and one crew member. I like that Captain Mark is up front about it and many folks are donning mask. We had a nice lunch in the Pinnacle which resulted in an afternoon recovery nap. Our room seems to finally be warming up some so H- Vac may be turning around. Thanks for the postings and to all a Goodnight from the MS Eurodam. B.
  10. Good morning everyone. For the first time this cruise we woke up definitely knowing we are at sea on a ship. Just a tad rough. A surprise to us as this leg of the cruise has turned out to be a culinary cruise. Famous chef David Burke is on board and giving a cooking demonstration today in showroom. We have been signed up for the David Burke Chefs dinner tomorrow night but we were clueless that he was actually going to be preparing it. We’re booked for lunch in the Pinnacle today. I need to spend some time on line today as I’m getting low on Me Me’s. Oh the pressure of it all. Jacqui I do hope your procedure tomorrow goes well with minimal discomfort and healing results. @ger_77Happy Birthday to your husband. Time to rise and sway my way to the Pinnacle for coffee and a lite nosh. Thanks for the Reports and Post.
  11. Sorry to hear how your day has gone. Hard decision with Ivan but a good decision but such a sad one.
  12. A few years back we attended a beautiful ceremony in honor of ANZAC Day on the MS Maasdam.
  13. Back on board and having a wonderful time in Pinnacle Bar!😁
  14. San Diego is always a favorite port of call.Several aircraft carriers in port which I find kind of questionable with current world tensions. We did a wine tasting in Temecula wine region today and even though the wines were not to our tastings, except a couple, we still enjoyed our day excursion. A lady down the hall from us had a heart attack this morning. Fortunate for her it happened here in San Diego where she can get the best of care. Captain just did his daily report. We currently have 49 guest with Covid and one crew in isolation. Figures are going down but we will continue practicing precautions. Around ten tonight winds will pick up to around 50 mph and we should experience some movement at sea. Our next port of call will be Victoria and we have never visited there. Meanwhile two wonderful sea days. Three toots and we are on our way. Have a great evening and week. Life is good on the MS Eurodam. B.
  15. Good morning. Just arriving San Diego. It’s 56 degrees outside and today’s high is forecasted to reach 66. I know it takes an H Vac system to change around but I hope it hurries up, Room is cold. Not much time this morning as we have to clear customs and the. We have a Hal winery excursion. Dinner in Tamarind last night which was good. Need to get a move on. Maybe later. Thanks for report. Internet is so slow this morning. Hope this sends.
  16. Last night we went to Pinnacle with Kirk and Barbara who will be on the World Cruise with us. Kirk and I decided to split a Tomahawk Steak. Ordered it Med. Rare. So they bring the steak out and it’s more well done which the waiter noted. So at this point I had eaten a wedge salad and when asked if we wanted another steak I just declined as I didn’t want to wait for another steak to be prepared. Kirk ordered a filet and it came out very rare. Steak back to kitchen and brought back to Kirk’s liking. So I could have had a substitute steak. My dinner was the wedge salad and half of my mashed potatoes and I skipped desert.. Manager said Chef was going to come out and apologize and I said I didn’t want to talk to him. There was no harsh talk or throwing a fit. Just a disappointing experience that I hope was an isolated incident.
  17. I slept in plus West Coast time so real late this morning. We had a great time on our Salsa Salsa excursion and enjoyed the salsas we made along with guacamole. Dancing the Salsa was a struggle. Dinner in Pinnacle just didn’t go well and will leave it at that. Did enjoy last night’s male singing group in Showroom. Need to get another coffee and read the Daily. Thanks for the Report and postings. Bruce
