  1. Thanks. That story was so chumpy, you could carve it.
  2. I just put some popcorn into the microwave, and heading for the Panama Canal.
  3. This sort of island would be very much lacking in Indonesia.
  4. Hideaway Island? No, this one is above the water - and further north.
  5. Ooh. That is spelt almost the same as the island I am on, but it is in the New Hebrides archipelago.
  6. Nice to see her back. Solstice isn't staying, just visiting on her way to Singapore.
  7. Nice spot, but it is a long way east out in the Pacific. The answer should reveal before I have to tell more ..😉
  8. They have a shorter season out of Cairns next winter - than nothing. It appears P&O is putting more faith in Auckland going forward.
  9. They are happy to tell you how cheap the cruise is, and not so happy to tell you what the stakes are when they use. Many that have worked out how to do it at a minimum level are just maintaining enough status to keep the offers coming. They may have played big to get those offers in the first place. And then comes that day when rules go out the window and they start to chase a win. It is a numbers game, and that is how they get their numbers.
  10. Just humming a song from Grease ... tell me more, tell me more
  11. Not sure if I miss a hint, but can't join the dots. Very Hebridean.
  12. Alas, not a Mystery. Ships still go there. Further east
  13. I have done it previously - a Cairns holiday followed by a PNG cruise, B2B with a relocation south. The differences were that flights from Newcastle - Brisbane - Cairns were reasonable at the time, and the relocation cruise was Cairns to Sydney. Spending time in Cairns is a great holiday, but the flights are exxxxy.. The sad part is that if flights were cheaper, there would be more takers and the cruise would be dearer.
  14. I was just debunking the humble pine as being John's hint. It isn't Isle of Pines It isn't the home of the Norfolk pine. Can't be many Islands left, but we need to be heading to an island east of those pair.
  15. Or two flights for anyone out of reach of Brisbane or Cairns.
  16. Yes. You need a history of playing in casinos though. There are various players clubs linked to many of the cruise lines. the cheap offers are usually only for cruises that are being undersold.
  17. Not so Mystery -ous. Ships are still going there. Certainly worth raising your glass to, but not with vino. No bubbles coming up from this beach.
  18. They have trees. Nothing special like particular types of pine trees, just everyday trees. The picture is taken from the island, and the trees in the background are growing on a much bigger island.
  19. For us, Alfredo's has just been a nice alternative for a quiet lunch on port days. Nothing special, but just a change.
  20. We will try. Well, it is only a weekender on Majestic. A repeat ship and a repeat itinerary for us. A few changes have happened, which we will largely ignore. Alfredo's will cost us to dine at, even with a premier package - we will ignore. The Catch is a new specialty restaurant - we will likely ignore that too. There are those lovely new diabetic desserts on deck that we haven't seen yet - ignoring that too. We will be in unwind mode, and just out to ride the waves for a few days, but will take lots of pics and app captures while waiting for my next drink or plate of food to arrive. 😉
  21. I have just read through the first 6 pages again, looking at all those nice food pics. I have withdrawal symptoms - really keen to be cruising again in 17 days.
  22. It is an island, but not just any island. It is one of those islands that the ships don't visit these days.
