  1. I sent my information in yesterday. The credit appeared today.
  2. We just returned last Saturday from a cruise on the Regal. Based on our experience there is no need to sweat about Blue vs. Green. Pre-cruise we were Blue Lane because, I assume we didn't have our Medallions mailed to us but were picking them up at the cruise terminal. I am glad we were Blue! Embarkation was delayed and no one was being allowed to board until 1PM and this created quite a backlog. Long story short, there were only two other people in the Blue Lane but about 200 people in the Green Lane. We breezed on board in a matter of minutes. And the QR code sent as part of the pre-cruise online check-in process? No one looked at it and no one asked about it.
  3. We haven't sailed Princess since 2015. We will be on the Regal, December 2 and I tried to make a reservation for the Crown Grill. Sabatini's shows availability for every night of the cruise, but the Crown Grill only shows availability for the first night of the cruise. Does this seem normal? Crown Grill booked solid pre-cruise for the entire cruise? If normal, any chance of booking once on board?
  4. I was on this same cruise. I agree with virtually all the OP's observations and would similarly categorize the MDR food as excellent. I would only add that the cocktail service in the casino was the worst of any of our 17 Celebrity cruises. Long waits to order and even longer waits for the drinks to arrive. They could easily have easily deployed two more servers. By contrast, beverage service in the Oceanview was really good. We like to order cappuccinos at breakfast in the Oceanview and flagging down a server when the venue is packed (as it often was on this cruise) can be a challenge. However, this time around, I was pleased to encounter many helpful servers and prompt and efficient delivery. Did not visit the Martini Bar. Not sure of the specific number regarding how full the ship was, but based on the eyeball test, it was close to capacity. All in all, a most satisfying cruise.
  5. We are Platinum but haven't sailed on Princess since 2015. We will be back on the Regal next month. I have searched this forum for information and have seen various viewpoints, but I am still fuzzy about this: Can I charge casino chips, for table play, to my account (with my medallion?) without incurring a service charge? And without starting off on a slot machine? I have seen answers that seem to suggest that I should begin by setting myself up on a slot machine, fund my account, play a little and then cash out and use those funds at a table. This seems unnecessarily complicated. I would like to simply start off at a table and get chips without paying a fee. Is this possible? This is how it works for me on Celebrity with the fee waived because of my Blue Chip Club status (Celebrity's Players Club). I would prefer not to bring cash, but will if I have to in order to avoid paying a service charge.
  6. Why don't those who are so concerned about pathogens in the Oceanview collect their food, set it down on their table and then go wash their hands before eating? I assume that they themselves didn't put their fingers in their mouths while collecting their food so any germs that inadvertently ended up on their hands should no longer be a problem.
  7. Was on the Summit in September. Went to the silent disco about 20 minutes after it started. No headphones left.
  8. I used to swear by my Bose over-the-ears headphones. Loved them. Then they stopped working. Set out to replace them when I happened to try a pair of Sony's. I was happily surprised at the performance and, to boot, they were, at that time, half the price of the intended Bose replacement. I continue to enjoy them.
  9. There are 2,043 pax on the Summit (capacity 2,158) with me right now. No surprise, it feels full.
  10. We sailed on the Summit out of St. Martin in July, 2021. The passengers did not have to wear masks and the cruise marked the first time the entire crew was allowed to not wear masks. Everyone, both passengers and crew, were over the moon with delight. Fast forward to today, over one year later. I am back on the Summit and not only is the entire crew masked but the captain has told us that the passengers must be masked in all indoor spaces. With the entire ship now masked one can only conclude that Celebrity's position is that the pandemic situation is more unsafe today than it was in the summer of 2021 when the entire Summit went maskless. In the casino we are forced to leave masks in place and must pull them down to sip a drink and then return them to our faces. It's as if we are not on a ship in October 2022 but on an airplane in the darkest depths of 2020 COVID. Way past time for Celebrity to get real about this.
