  1. The fares from Boston in 2023 are almost double what they were in 2022. I'm hoping to do Boston to Bermuda again next summer but unless the prices come down some, I'll be heading to Maine or New Hampshire!
  2. I cruise in 6 days & seem to recall receiving multiple emails regarding watching the emuster at least this far in advance of my July cruise. There's nothing showing when I log into NCL so I'm thinking there will be a real muster drill when I board next Friday. Personally, I have no problem with it although waiting for the stragglers does irritate me. When I boarded in July, I really wasn't paying much attention to where we went to have our cards scanned so I went to my muster station the next day to make sure I knew where to go. Like all cruisers, I don't ever want to need to use the information for real but I always want to know where to go!
  3. My go to when I have a problem like that is to shut my phone off for a minute or two and then restart it. 9 out of 10 times, the problem resolves.
  4. Can't believe this argument is still going on. Like it or not, it appears emuster is going away. Arguing about what is most convenient for you (the passenger) isn't going to change that. Getting your panties in a bunch isn't going to change it either so deal with it as required and then have a great cruise!
  5. I don't enjoy hanging out waiting for stragglers to show up for muster but, I really think it's a better way to do it. As easy as the edrill was, I went looking for my muster station on my last cruise because I had no idea where it was! I boarded & was told to go to deck whatever to check in to my muster station. Did that then went to meet up with others in my group for lunch. I'm sure I'm not the only that really wasn't paying attention to anything other than getting onboard & starting my vacation.
  6. If no Captain, what are they using?
  7. We cruised with a large group of family & friends ranging in age from 21 - 75 and we all had a great time. We all did our own thing & got together for several meals & excursions. Overall, no complaints & we plan to do it again next year. Any cruise, or vacation, is what you choose to make it. The kids had as much fun as us old timers so I expect you'll all be just fine.
  8. You'll love being that close to the elevators & noise won't be an issue. I always book as close to an elevator as possible because it's so convenient.
  9. I used the app in July. It has no affect on internet minutes.
  10. I'm on a lap top & having difficulty reading this. You need to make the font larger!
  11. Thanks for the correction! I didn't realize they made that change.
  12. It's one $50 credit for the first person on the reservation in each port.
  13. Not really. A Club Balcony has a few additional benefits but no butler like a true suite has.
  14. Age is just a number! In my experience, there is an older demographic in the fall & winter months when school is in session and on cruises of more than 7 days.
  15. If you're not interested in the Studio Lounge and it's before final payment, I would definitely call. Generally, they just change the reservation and adjust the price. I did have an inexperienced rep cancel an existing reservation once but that's not the standard. You'll be much happier with the additional space the inside has compared th the 100 sq. ft. in the studio.
  16. Ft Myers re-opened yesterday, 10/5, which hopefully resolves your problem. I'm sure this has been stressful for you however, NCL may have chosen to wait it out anticipating the situation would resolve satisfactorily with the airport re-opening prior to your scheduled flight date.
  17. Sorry, that's a no from me but I wish you luck in your pursuit. Just a thought... Instead of booking online, why not call NCL directly? If you pull up deck plans, you'll be able to see the location of whatever adjoining cabins the rep indicates are available.
  18. There have been times I booked a connecting cabin for just 2 of us. It would never be my first choice but, if it's the cabin type I want, in the location I prefer, I don't worry about who might want/need(?) the cabin I've booked. Why anyone would think I should change cabins because their decision to book after I did interferes with their plans is beyond me! IMHO, that's being mean & selfish!
  19. I'm sailing on Bliss in December. What type of coffee maker is in the Club Balcony?
  20. I'm so confused! I am Platinum, cruising solo, in a club balcony. (cabin type added strictly to confirm we don't all cruise in insides). Will I be able to dine with someone and use one of my Platinum Dinner coupons for both our meals?
  21. I hate to sound like an idiot BUT... Can you translate please? The only thing I understand is JoB!
  22. A few here consider the $50 excursion credit a joke but, as a solo traveler, I have no complaints. I booked 4 excursions for my upcoming cruise and saved $200. If you prefer to book through the cruise line, as I do, the credit does help!
  23. They walk you through the test & really make it easy! I was very worried when I had to do mine but they were great. I don't have to test for my upcoming cruise but I won't hesitate to use them again if the need arises.
  24. Can't help with bidding info but I can tell you NCL does not show all available cabins. To avoid the "Finish Your Booking" emails & phone calls, I now use an incognito window on my laptop. I get the iformation I want & no follow-up by NCL!
  25. I'm an over-packer myself but frequently find I wear a dress more than once. I did it on my last cruise which was only 7 days. Sometimes, it just feels right!
