  1. When select dining was introduced, prepaid gratuities were required to choose that option. I am not aware that this has changed.
  2. Here is one of the port hole, in the hull, balconies. They have sliding glass doors leading to the veranda, as she would find on other ships. They have blackout curtains and sliding glass doors leading to the veranda, as you would find on other ships.
  3. How much is the deposit? what’s the price difference of the cruise if you switch to refundable deposit?
  4. The one category upgrade is for those who have previously cruised on Celebrity. The OP is booking their first Celebrity cruise.
  5. Check out this thread to see screen shots of the form I would say that unless you know WITH CERTAINTY that you have had close contact with someone who has the virus, answer no. They do not question if you have been in a large group.
  6. If all you need is access to your Royal account, you can get onto the Royal website for free at the Celebrity I lounge computer center. There is no charge for this and you don’t need an internet account. Be sure to bring your Royal account number and password.
  7. Maybe nothing but don’t worry…you will be able to do it all in the terminal. The app is not required.
  8. When the ships were out of service they kept a skeleton crew on board. They needed staff to maintain the engines, and do all kinds of work keeping the interiors operational, like flushing all the toilets on a regular schedule. Prior to the ships’ returns to service, crew began arriving to get them ready. Since then, some crew have worked seven or eight months continuously with no time off. During this week out off service they would still be working every day but with fewer duties. As an aside, tipped crew receive some compensation in lieu of gratuities when there are no guests on board.
  9. If you have Select Dining you should be able to make reservations on the app when you are close to your sailing date. When do you sail?
  10. The crew on the ship wouldn’t have much to do with ordering wine, most of those decisions are made in Miami. But if any pallets arrive and need to be unpacked they would be doing that. Portland is not a usual port so I actually wouldn’t expect much restocking to be taking place.
  11. No difference. They will not “carry over” the laundry from cruise 1 to cruise 2.
  12. Here is one of the non-suite non-infinite verandah
  13. Facial recognition isn’t available in every terminal in Miami
  14. The deck they will use will depend in part on the tides. You will get complete instruction in your stateroom. it could be a speedy process or a slow one depending on how many Customs officers are there.
  15. Only refundable OBC comes back to your credit card. The OBC from a price drop will be nonrefundable Because this gets asked so often I've compiled a list of things to spend OBC on. The only thing I know of now that you CAN'T buy with OBC is a deposit on a Future Cruise. You need a credit card for that. Also, there may be some card game in the casino with a cash only buy-in. If they do a fundraiser, like selling t-shirts to “save the reefs” and the like, expect to need cash for that. Otherwise, here you go: *Acupuncture *Airport transfers *Alcove Rental (some ships) *Apple products etc. and Ilounge classes *Art Auction Purchases *Babysitting *Barber Shop services *Behind the Scenes Tours *Beverages -- Alcoholic, carbonated soft drinks, specialty coffees and teas, bottled water — if not in your package, also beverages above your package limits *Bingo and Deal or No Deal *Bottles of wine *Casino *Chef’s Table *Corkage charged if you bring your own bottles of wine to the MDR *Duty free liquor and cigarettes *Extra cost entrees and other items in Main Dining Room and specialty restaurants *Extend Your Stay program *Fitness classes *Flowers *Gelato *Gift shop souvenirs, purses, watches, cosmetics, clothing, jewelry, etc. *Gratuities, and extra gratuities *Guests dining with you in Luminae (applies to Suite Passengers only) *Guest entertainers' CD's and DVD's *Hair and nail salon *Hollywood hot glass experiences (some ships) *Internet if not in your package, also Internet upcharges *Laundry/pressing/drycleaning *Liquor Tasting events *Luggage Valet *Martini Flights *Medical Center purchases (but not treatments) *Mini bar *Portrait photo sessions *Pay-per-view movies *Persian Gardens passes *Personal Training Sessions *Photos & cameras *Room service up charge items, and late night delivery fee *Ryde spinning classes *Shore Excursions *Shuttle to town (some ports) *Spa -- massages and treatments *Specialty restaurants *Teeth Whitening *Telephone calls using ship's system *Transfer to another passenger's account *Voyage in Review DVD *Wine and liquor tastings *Zumba
  16. Here are the upgrades with the old (current) categories and the upcoming changes
  17. As I recall, showers on M class ships (infinity is one) are larger than those on S class ships (Silhouette)
  18. No there is no daily limit for the beverage packages But be aware if you are referencing it that there is no package called “all in” per se. It’s called “always included”
  19. You would be charged the three dollar difference plus tip, not the full $12, You do not need to upgrade before the cruise. Once you are on board you can check out the situation and decide whether the upgrade is necessary or not and any bartender can take care of the upgrade for you at that time.
  20. There are many many ways that Celebrity and Royal are not the same. You will do well not to expect them to be alike, as you have seen in this case.
