  1. A mudslide is made with Bailey’s, Kahlúa, and vodka. Variations include making it with cream and with ice cream. IGLU is a powder. It comes in chocolate and vanilla. Celebrity, the espresso with IGLU has no alcohol although you could certainly ask them to add a shot of something. They generally add a drizzle of chocolate as you can see in the photo. THE IGLU drink is similar to a café frappe.
  2. Yes they have soy milk, at least at Café al Bacio and in the Oceanview. Maybe not for room service
  3. The overnight in Istanbul is very appealing
  4. No it isn’t a mudslide. I does not contain alcohol.
  5. keep in mind that hotels By celebrity generally charges by the person. Most hotels in the US charge the same whether single or double occupancy. So because of that, Hotels By celebrity may come out quite a bit more expensive than booking directly with the hotel.
  6. Maybe sushi on five? But even that venue is not always open on port days. Some ships have a retreat sundeck where they will have a limited menu of hamburgers, and sandwiches. But not all of the ships have this area.
  7. It’s a valid piece of advice. We can describe some things that would set Celebrity apart from other lines, like they’re no smoking anywhere inside policy, but it’s very hard to know whether you and your friends and family will enjoy it more than any other line. A short cruise is a good tester.
  8. Were these passengers by any chance on one of the Celebrity charters from Canada?
  9. All M and S class ships have them. The M class ships, Like the summit, have some which look out to sea. The S class ships look inward to the atrium.
  10. The PVSA regulates the cruise lines, nothing to do with the citizenship of the passengers
  11. Yes, that’s a good suggestion. Because Celebrity is handling it this way— If the port is open, they sail.
  12. Take them one at a time Vancouver to Alaska — ok (PVSA not applicable) California to Vancouver — ok (PVSA not applicable) Florida to California via Cartagena — ok (PVSA fulfilled) but put the first two together without the Florida - California via Cartagena leg — not ok — PVSA would require a distant foreign port which cannot be fulfilled do all three and you are back to being ok again, with the distant foreign port requirement met
  13. Yes the LA to Alaska is a problem but having the first leg attached to the other two negates the issue.
  14. But clearly this journey does not start in LA.
  15. This should read “all COFFEE drinks without alcohol. Water, soda, juices are not part of the Elite Plus benefit
  16. Not quite. The roommate can go to many Elite events, like the breakfast. But wouldn’t get the laundry benefit or the coffee benefit at Cafe Al Bacio or the happy hour drinks
  17. It should not be a violation. You are boarding in Florida, disembarking in Alaska so a DISTANT foreign port is needed. not just any foreign port but a DISTANT foreign port as defined in the law now, in order for the first leg from Florida to California to be legal, you must be visiting a distant foreign port, presumably Colombia. That takes care of it for the entire itinerary. call back and ask to speak to a supervisor
  18. Try asking on the current Roll Call. They are most likely to have up to date communications.
