  1. No smoking anywhere indoors on Celebrity. that makes a big difference in the casino
  2. It might help if you say when and where you want to go
  3. It’s incredibly variable and no one can tell you at what point they will stop requiring tickets but generally, they make an announcement to the effect that the tendering operation is going well and tickets are no longer required. When that announcement comes is anyone’s guess
  4. If this happened on the ship, did they give you an opportunity to retrieve the non-offending adapters?
  5. Yes, it was too small to put out all the luggage at once . passengers who had higher tag numbers who went off with the lower number people found themselves standing in the terminal, waiting for their luggage to be offloaded. The announcements made it clear that they should wait for their tag number to be called because of the size of the luggage collection area, but some people went off early anyway, and found themselves standing around waiting for their luggage to be made available
  6. In Rotterdam, just just one example, the terminal is very small and the luggage is put out in tag order. So they may let YOU off the ship before your number is called, but your luggage would not be waiting for you.
  7. No it is only available in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Seattle
  8. The embarkation in disembarkation points have nothing to do with the languages spoken on board Celebrity. if there is a large enough contingent of non-English-speaking people, they may make some announcements, particularly safety announcements, in their language, but mostly on Celebrity you will only hear English no matter where you are in the world
  9. See the three little dots at the top of your post? Hit them and you will be able to report a problem to the moderator. And since you’ve already started another thread they will probably simply delete this thread for you
  10. One coffee station is open all night
  11. OP, may I suggest a river cruise? Look into AMAwaterways. It might meet your needs better than an ocean cruise would.
  12. And those emails are written by people who have never been actually on any of the ships so they don’t know that there’s a difference from one to another
  13. I would avoid viking river cruise. On my one and only Viking cruise. I found the food to be inedible much of the time and service was often sub par. one and done. on the other hand, I have done eight AMAWATERWAYS river Cruises all have been outstanding
  14. On my recent silhouette Cruises, the porch and lawn grill were not open for lunch every day—you had to look in the program to see whether they were offering lunch that day or not. I don’t eat sushi, but my impression was the same for that restaurant: lunch was not offered every day. tuscan offered lunch once or twice, with a smaller menu than dinner and a smaller price tag. Neither Murano nor petite chef ever offered lunch if you are interested in specialty dining, once or twice during the cruise, a special dinner was served at the sushi restaurant. It was called the Taj and it was a multicourse Indian feast.
  15. I don’t know of any way that you can avoid large groups. On silhouette last week there were over 350 customers of one particular Belgian Travel agent. They had a couple of private parties in the Sky Lounge which meant that no one else could use the lounge at that time, but otherwise they were not a problem
  16. The buffet is called Oceanview. It is open for breakfast lunch and dinner. The main dining room is open for breakfast and dinner every day and lunch on seadays. in the Aqua Spa there is the aqua spa Café, which is open for breakfast and lunch near the pool is the Mast bar which grills hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch. It closes at 6 PM and is not open for dinner. those are the no extra charge options then there are the specialty restaurants, sushi on five, Murano, the Porch, the Lawn Club Grill, Tuscan grill, and le petite chef at qsine. sometimes lunches are offered in one or more of the specialty restaurants for a fee.
  17. Silhouette has overhead heaters now in both restaurants. I had dinner at them both in Norway. Lawn club Grill was comfortable, but the porch is open on one side, and it became quite chilly in there, even with the blankets that they provided would definitely suggest bringing a wrap, jacket, or something to keep you warm.
  18. On silhouette, there is an espresso machine at the gelato stand and during the morning rush-hour, there is a big sign there telling people that they can get a “to go” coffee drink there
  19. It is highly unlikely that any of the current personnel will still be there when you sail, JDPCRUISERS
