  1. Yes, upgraded but not as elaborate as prior years. M
  2. Often, they are open to anyone who wants to rent one. If the planner allows you to reserve and pay for one, you will NOT be turned away. M
  3. Maybe "fed up" wasn't the best term, but I get the message. Many pay for insurance to cover unforeseen instances. Others don't. If the cruise line offers some sort of FCC, refund (call it what you want) than why do the rest of us need to purchase insurance? Every instance is sad, but that is why one purchases insurance. M
  4. It is recently free. In November it was not free, but now is. M
  5. We are on the May 8 cruise and just received the edocs in last day or so. You should get yours soon. We are also on the May 4 cruise and that one is no longer available to book as apparently it is sold out. Try trip advisor for restaurant recommendations. M
  6. Regarding hangers, all the cabins we’ve been in have the RCCL wooden hangers. Cabin attendants hang the robes on wooden hangers, or leave them folded and placed on the couch If I ask for extra hangers, it will often be a variety of plastic hangers, tube hangers, or wire hangers. Next time I will consider it my “car lot“ of hangers m
  7. Good advise. I'll check out other packages when it is time to renew. M
  8. Barefoot Beach. There is a special tram that will take you there. Concierge will tell you where to meet on Labadee . LOTS of sets of 2 or 4 loungers and all sets have umbrellas. There is an upgraded lunch. Towels are there, no need to bring one. You can get a complimentary floating mat. There is a dedicated bar. Some shells in the water but no huge rocks. We wear water shoes. You can rent a beautiful over the water cabana. We're never been there with more than one ship. Don't forget to tip the attendants who seat you and serve you. Have fun
  9. Crewsweeper, thanks for the review. Looks like you enjoyed the cruise. M
  10. My policy covers ALL travel for the policy period. See my post above for real life examples.
  11. My Allianz policy runs under $600 per year and has good coverage. ($50K in Emergency Medical, $500K in Emergency Transportation, $45K rental car coverage and good benefits for trip cancellation, interruption, lost baggage etc. We've had an annual policy for about 6 years and ALWAYS purchased cruise insurance prior to that. It is good for ALL travel ( I think 50 miles away from home) not simply cruises. We've used in when we had a flight cancel and had a variety of overnight travel costs. We used it when we had to cancel a flight (Land vacation) because of a death in the family. We used it when RCCL CANCELLED our cruise after just 4 hours and sent us all home that night ( YES - propulsion issues on Grandeur) and needed new flights that were over the RCCL change allotment, Uber, meals till we got home and other expenses. Lastly, we used it to cancel a cruise last minute ( 2 weeks out) because of a medical issue. I hope I never need to test the upper limits. M
  12. Just have a copy of both sea pass documents should you be questioned. We've done dozens of B2B and never had an issue taking all the allotted wine on board with us at embarkation. M.
  13. If you are B2B why did you have checked luggage for the second leg? We've done dozens of B2B and our luggage never leaves the ship. It either stays in the cabin or goes from one cabin to another. M
  14. Breakfast on Oasis class ships every day. Go early in the cruise before everyone figures it out. There are a few additional charged items, but everything else is complimentary. M
  15. Watch the compass/app. The horticulture officer offered an informative walking tour of central park, on one the sea days. M
  16. Did you decide to order hooked lobster? While the lobster was fairly small, they bring you two giant claws per person. And obviously, everyone is different, we were not thrilled with wonderland. BTW. we were also onboard 3/19 m
  17. Prices for Coco cay activities and internet can change at any time. Purchase it now and then cancel and rebook if the price drops. Look for current Harmony sailings on the app and select one that is the Eastern Caribbean. It will give you a current planner and an idea of show times. Show times might be different every night and there may be several shows on any given night. Not knowing what your family likes makes it impossible to recommend excursions. Do you like water activities (snorkeling), city touring, 4X4 vehicles, sailing horseback riding etc. There are a variety of choices offered by the ship and private excursion companies. M
  18. Go on the app. Look at current Harmony sailing, click on one to get an Eastern C itinerary and look at the planner. M
  19. On the first day the gym is the most crowded. The crowd thins after that. Never had any issue getting a machine. Since you mentioned a treadmill, there is a terrific walking/jogging track on deck 6. Just over 2 times around the track for a quick mile! M
  20. No. If we are talking about the same thing, at first I thought it was sand dunes.
  21. Thanks - I understand now I don't expect Royal to add any additional benefits. I had never heard of non suite P's getting MDR room service till I read it on this thread. And, I really don't believe that the claim is accurate. I never intended to suggest Royal should offer it and never expect them to. In past years, P's had many of the suite benefits but that has changed since the return to sailing and the numbers of new P's . P benefits have changed and even change from sailing to sailing on the same ship. Lastly, I know that the benefits on one ship won't necessary be the same benefits as another ship. M
  22. John suggested I miss read your post. I guess i don't understand. Any passenger ( Pinnacle or not) booked in a suite gets the suite benefits for that ship. M
  23. Not sure what you C&A status has to do with the lines at the water slides. Depending on the weather, time of year, there will be lines. Some cruises are particularly children/teen heavy so the lines are longer. You will need to check the app for open activities while in port. They vary. If you buy the Key, there are dedicated times to use some of the facilities, with lower wait times. This might help you. M
  24. Why would a passenger in a suite (regardless of C&A level) NOT get all the suite benefits? M
  25. Only for breakfast, similar menu ( some local favorites eliminated) and generally held Chops They offer a $25 food voucher that can't be combined with other offers such as the BOGO. It may pay for Playmakers/Johnny Rockets, but you have to add more $$ to use it at a standard restaurant. M
