We are experiencing morning service on wonder. It is not a problem, but I have requested extra towels daily so that I have dry towels as needed. m

People buy insurance to cover themselves if there is an issue. No one expects to be ill, but you never know. As someone who purchases insurance, I would be annoyed if Royal Caribbean issued refunds to those who do not spend the money on insurance. That’s what insurance is for. Sadly several years ago, I had to cancel two cruises after final payment because of a medical diagnosis. I had the proper insurance, and after providing the appropriate paperwork I was reimbursed for everything I had paid. Sorry to be so harsh, but if people received refunds without buying insurance, why would anyone buy insurance? m

How long did the $18 drink package last until it was pulled? Anyone recall? m

It us NOT just open for sailings booked in that short window. It is available to lots of others already booked. m

I didn’t set the price, RCCL did. They listed it on the web site for specific price. It was purchased for that price. What is the purchaser getting away with? The purchaser didn’t do anything wrong. m

"Formal" Night on short 5 night cruise
cruisegirl1 replied to Turk1's topic in Royal Caribbean International
They will likely be a “dress your best” or “formal night” (Same thing different wording). It will most likely be on a sea day, unless the sea day is the last day of the cruise There will just be one, on a five night cruise. m -
Back to Back on Oasis-Pros and Cons??
cruisegirl1 replied to bayportkat's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Last year, every time we cruised, we did a B2B or longer. We did 9 sets of B2B and one B3B. It really cuts down on travel expense and travel time for those of us who have to fly or have a long drive to ports. We had to change cabins in 4 sets and I find that to be no big deal. Yes we prefer the same cabin, but that is not always possible. We find the B2B so relaxing as we have two cruises to enjoy the entertainment. If we didn't get a chance to see something we can catch on the next cruise. If we saw something and really liked it, we can see it again. Much to our surprise, a few times there was no B2B lunch. Once there were too few B2B passengers, and the others were because Harmony stopped a real lunch. Once they had our "special lunch" in the windjammer. They let us in 15 minutes before the crowd! The other few times it was in the solarium cafe but it was also open to the public. The lunch is such a nice treat. Regarding laundry, I basically pack for one cruise and wear things twice. We send a few things out in the wash and fold service, wash a few things ( delicates) out in the sink, have something laundered/dry cleaned of we have any mishaps. As for repeat ports, you have an opportunity to see more/do more. OP - go for it. M -
Correct. You need to reach prime status again from the period 4/1/23-3/31/24 in order to maintain prime status for the casino year starting 4/1/24. M

Harmony stateroom lights/AC - card needed?
cruisegirl1 replied to mspink98's topic in Royal Caribbean International
No one needs to use a personal card (that they might forget to remove when they leave) to activate the lighting/AC system. Any business card (they sit out at guest services) will work. M -
Not everyone who can cruise often enough to be Pinnacle can jump on a free cruise. Many still work, don't live in Florida, have other interests/obligations, have to book flights/pre cruise hotels, etc. M

Housekeeping moving to once a day?
cruisegirl1 replied to Donsyb's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The dreaded resort fee is often higher than any cruise ship gratuity. Our recent stay was something like $28 per day. NO cleaning service offered. We had no meals included so no wait staff grats were included in the fee. M -
Alaska Cruise & Dinner Timing
cruisegirl1 replied to jrapps's topic in Royal Caribbean International
WJ is generally open till about 9. If your ship has a promenade cafe, that will be open almost 24/7. The dining venues times will be listed in the app. We love eating local when time/activities permit. M -
Alaska Cruise & Dinner Timing
cruisegirl1 replied to jrapps's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Yes - the Windjammer is open every evening. If you are in port till 8, you will likely be on board well before and may be able to make the 7:45 dinner. Have a great trip M -
Housekeeping moving to once a day?
cruisegirl1 replied to Donsyb's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Twice a day service IS based on cabin category. JS and up get twice a day service. Pre covid, Pinnacles received most of the suite perks. So with that model, P's would also be eligible for twice a day cleaning. Of course that model is no longer in use C&A category does NOT make a difference is cabin service. I don't expect twice a day cleaning to return fleet wide. We just spent a few days at an upscale beach resort in SC and there was NO daily cleaning. If the guest wants cleaning, there was a $25 charge. The rooms are serviced when the guest leaves. Room was spotless when we arrived and I guess the next guest will find the same. They provide a bag to hang dirty towels outside the door and new towels will be delivered. Seems like it is an industry change. M -
Coco Beach Club on CocoCay- worth it?
cruisegirl1 replied to Sigyn's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Checked for an upcoming cruise, $283 PP. I think they price it high so that the $3000 cabana, that includes the beach club for 8, seems like a good deal. M
