  1. We have been on several cruises where brunch, rather than breakfast and lunch were offered. OP- Brunch closes only 30 minutes earlier than the traditional lunch. Many of the same menu items are offered. Plus-we’ve found fewer people and the later times for brunch so if you are looking for a quiet place, you will be happy. Honestly, so few people use the MDR for lunch that the brunch might be a way to justify serving any type of noon meal there. m
  2. Inside (neighborhood) balcony or inside cabin? What type of balcony guarantee did you have? I hope you get it worked out. m
  3. Serenade has two production shows. One is called Stage to Screen. Can’t recall the name of the other but something like Vibeology. Both are well done. There will also be a headliner, but that changes. They’ve had a woman who does an “Adele“ show for a few cruises and she is fantastic. As noted, no broadway show. enjoy m
  4. Usually no difference in pricing. If you put your Crown &Anchor number in for the on line booking, the senior discount/state discount is applied. Often it is not combinable with other discounts. if you ever get them on the phone, make sure you have the correct C&A number. M
  5. Not supposed to happen. Perhaps you can tell the server/bartender that the voucher is from someone under age. That way they will not serve a drink to a minor and hopefully will be able to keep their job. That would be worth the price of the drink to me. m
  6. No specific location, just once you have connected to the ship WiFi go on the App to reserve entertainment I read that some ships have opened entertainment bookings a few weeks prior to sailing. Check the website cruise planner. m
  7. Underage passenger will NOT be allowed to use their voucher for alcohol. It might accidently happen in a rare instance, but count on it as a NO. M
  8. Rumor or Not ? Not and Not even rumor. Another cruise line is making some dining changes. Has nothing to do with RCCL. M
  9. Reservations are necessary to secure a lunch time. We didn’t make them till we arrived at the Beach Club. m
  10. What is “strictly“ enforced? When I use one of the daily vouchers to order a drink, it’s subtracted from the total. Other vouchers were used as well such as spa discount, free photo, free wash and fold etc. m
  11. Generally ALL Diamond clubs are available to Diamond, Diamond Plus and Pinnacle guests. enjoy m
  12. D Pins for access to a function? We turned diamond back in 2005, (I just checked my records) and I don’t ever recall being required to show a diamond or any other level pin for any event. Sea pass card, yes. Pin, no. m
  13. Royal Caribbean refers to Port Canaveral as "Orlando (Port Canaveral), Florida " in most of the literature and on the website. Crazy!
  14. Not sure why the question/conversation took place at all. We've all taken a cruise or two, so take the average price per night and multiply it by 700. Adjusting the math ( fewer than 700) if you sail in suites, solo etc. That will give you the sailing price to reach 700 points ( not nights). You can factor in travel expenses, on board excursions or expenses, lost salary while traveling etc. It will vary per person because of those who sail in an inside cabin, and those who sail in upper end suites. M
  15. At 525 you get a slightly better list of gifts and an additional gift for cruises 7 nights or longer. Nothing worth going after. Some people have given the 340 and 525 levels an elevated name, but it is still D Plus. M
  16. In our experience, the photo and day of internet was not offered. A discount on the internet package was an offered benefit. Our family member made good use of the arcade rebate. Of course, we always see different policies on different ships.
  17. Open on several ships that we've recently sailed. It may be a book shelf in an area (pool table area on Serenade) or located in a multipurpose room (card room/internet cafe/ small meeting room on Harmony). If you can't find it, ask at guest services. M
  18. The spouse will have the same tier but can have fewer points. For example, if one spouse traveled solo, the individual points may be different, but the tier defaults to the highest one of the couple. M
  19. I think we walked outside on the outside promenade deck after dinner a night or two. We had interesting conversations with the security staff. Not much was open outside at night, (pools were closed) so no reason to use the pool deck. Honestly can't recall if the upper outside desks were open. I would guess they were not, simply for passenger safety issues as the ship was dark. I recall we were allowed on the balcony but were asked to leave the lights off in the cabin. For us, it was only for 3 or so nights of a 15-night cruise. M
  20. Yes - they can assist is several issues, but I can't imagine they can do anything about closed venues under construction. If they can, great. M
  21. What does having a concierge have anything to do with the issue? Those not in a suite, or those who don't have C&A status are inconvenienced as well. The concierge has NO authority to do anything in this situation, except maybe take your complaint. I feel badly for the GS staff, but the company put them in a difficult situation. Simple communication to passengers might have alleviated the issues. M
  22. The renovation situation seems awful. Closing the solarium is bad enough but closing off another major pool as well must be a mess. I am surprised that there was no communication about the renovations/closures. M
