I’ve always booked as far out as possible. I had kids in school so would choose a week that butted up to a school vacation. I also cared about cabin location (midship balcony, connecting cabins). We live under 15 miles from 3 cruise ports, so we can do last minute without kids.
Disney stopped this practice because dishonest people were taking advantage. I believe now folks with disabilities are given a time to come back so they don’t have to wait in line, so it is still a wait.
Lol my husband doesn’t know any of our kids’ numbers, I’m the only one in our family of 7 who knows everyone’s phone numbers. Our kids knew ours before having phones, but I doubt they still remember.
Too close for comfort for me, depending on traffic, figure 45+ minutes to the airport. I like to get there 2 hours before my flight. I’ve been home by 8 am (on a Sunday, 12 miles away), and I’ve been stuck in a mess on outside decks until 11 am.
I can’t imagine this loophole is open. What would prevent someone with an offer to book for 2, sell the booking to someone else, and then be a no show.
We always take our luggage, we’ve waited on a 3 hour snake with our luggage. We’ve also walked quickly off with no issues with our luggage. It depends on things like amount of staff at the cruise terminal.
I don’t believe they have to provide medical care outside the US, which is why many people pay for travel insurance so they can be reimbursed outside of the country.
