  1. I don’t think water was ever included in the regular drink package, you used to be able to bring it on but no longer. If you get the free at sea package you can bring on unlimited bottles of wine with no corkage fee.
  2. Interesting, at our airport (Newark NJ) if you want decent transportation, definitely get an Uber/Lyft, taxi’s here are pretty awful.
  3. You do realize that 99% of the folks you are venting to here aren’t the least bit surprised about your situation.
  4. Buyer beware, you save money but you get what you get.
  5. I have 5 kids, we have given them charging privileges since they were little on vacations. We tell them the limit (we are not generous), they are adults and never spent their limit (including when we gave our 19 and 20 year old beer and wine waivers). The bill can be viewed 24/7. I honestly believe they spend less out of fear.
  6. Be prepared to eat in the more formal MDR, tbey have a lot more large tables.
  7. Living in NJ, I’ve been to the beach100’s of times. We all bring our phones and wallets, I honestly don’t know of anyone who’s even had property stolen. I’m not saying it’s never happened, but definitely not common.
  8. It was around $5 pp (family of 7), it might be more if they don’t fill the van.
  9. It’s been reported here that unless you are in the same cabin you are not guaranteed to be on the same flights.
  10. The bogo offer gets you cheaper flights, but with no travel protection. If you miss a connection or a flight is canceled, NCL bears no responsibility.
  11. I don’t think you can get a bucket of beer, 2 drinks at a time maximum, no time limits.
  12. Lol we live 20 minutes away and just pay to park. It’s so convenient, and cheaper per day than when we drive into the city.
  13. I don’t know how they would charge you for the second leg, you pay when you park.
  14. Sometimes they go down sometimes up. I’ve booked years out and never saw a price drop, but we get connecting balcony cabins for 7 of us.
  15. I think it just means you prepaid the DSC, which you did.
  16. Got my license in 1984, used to go clubbing in Manhattan a lot, one night ended up going home through the Holland instead of Lincoln tunnel, drove until morning, stopped at a diner, called my dad, who spoke to the owner, and drove to us and we followed him home. So thankful for gps!
  17. There can be glitches, but it’s saved me many times from traffic. My daughter’s college is 12 hours away, she’s taken the drive several times and the route they take differs depend 95 traffic.
  18. I haven’t read of folks being able to change dates but I’m guessing it depends on the airline?
  19. We are in NJ and have family in garden city, my daughter’s boyfriend lives in Smithtown, thank goodness for waze. I’ve lived her my entire life and always use gps on trips I’m very familiar with to avoid accidents.
  20. We rent a beach house every year for around 12+ of us - Jersey shore! The prices since Covid have skyrocketed!
  21. Dial 7 and Carmel are the ones I’ve heard mentioned they most, I think some of their drivers do Uber and Lyft too but scheduling it in advance is nice (I’m still not sure if scheduling Uber in advance is actually scheduling a particular driver).
  22. You should be fine, my husband just took an Uber at 4:30 am to Newark airport. You can also arrange car service. Taxi cabs can’t take passengers back and forth to the city so not a good option. We live 10 miles west of Manhattan, when my husband took the bus to work in midtown he gave himself a solid hour.
  23. There are taxi stands outside of baggage. My husband/kids usually Uber.
