  1. Plus folks with the package can bring on wine for free.
  2. NCL serves alcohol leaving from NYC, you just need to pay the extra tax (not a lot).
  3. Fortunately the dietary manager came to our table every night, and delivered her breakfast to her every morning in the front.
  4. NCL is great with gf. Contact special needs ahead of time to note it on the reservation. Go to the open MDR after boarding, someone should meet you there and explain how it works. My daughter would order breakfast and dinner ahead of time and just make a call when heading to a meal, her food was delivered to our table. There is a lot of gf food on the ship.
  5. We’re they not allowed to bring wine and pay corkage?
  6. I have never heard it of seen it here. We had to park at 90 due to 88 being completely used by fleet week. I think it’s a clever cash grab though.
  7. Why? It’s an extra $5 for them, to the best of my knowledge they’ve never turned cars away.
  8. That’s how it worked for my family, 1st in each cabin got UBP, 2nd under 21 got soda, 3 and 4 got nothing.
  9. Unlike GSC, NCL doesn’t own the island, or provide the drinks. It’s like going off of the ship in other ports.
  10. No, but $21 and $109 are different amounts, and no one is paying $109. I’d ask for my $21 back.
  11. I sincerely doubt anyone is paying full price for the UBP.
  12. On our last cruise we sailed with a 14, 14, 16, 19 and 20 year old, because they’re our children. We only had 2 cabins so I was picking up a lot (kind of like being home…).
  13. Because folks like the drop slides that only work if you are over a certain weight. I’m guessing more are excluded for being over weight limits.
  14. And I guarantee you will get a spot without paying extra for a reservation.
  15. Our cruises out of nyc for 7 of us in balconies cost about $7000 for a week. Our yearly beach house rental is over $10,000, we bring our own bedding and towels, buy and cook our food, and once got dinged on the security deposit for a bathroom garbage can not being emptied.
  16. My state has the highest concentration of nail salon workers, ours use clippers on finger nails too.
  17. I enjoy the show Below Deck, wish I had $100,000 to drop on a 2 night trip being treated like a queen.
  18. Lol I live 10 miles from Broadway, been to many shows, have been to WDW a dozens times, been to Honolulu, San Diego, DC, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, plus smaller cities. I like mainstream cruising, but don’t compare it to and vacations. Most restaurants in my area are MUCH better than any I can find on a ship. Cruising is just an easy family trip.
  19. It’s not jus you, I keep waiting for the AH-HA moment where the pp realizes the daily gratuity is less than the cost of 2 drinks.
  20. On a three week cruise, definitely.
  21. Definitely ridiculous, honestly I was shocked folks didn’t just get refunded instead of gambling during a pandemic. When my kids came home from junior year in high school 3/20 I pretty much knew that was the end of high school for them. I’m a realist.
  22. I can’t imagine deliberately not having a cellphone in a foreign country.
