  1. Not a taxi, right now it would take you 42 minutes and rush hour is almost over.
  2. Most likely someone accidentally walked off with it and hopefully will realize their error and contact the cruise line (my family did this once when traveling with my parents, 4 adults, 5 children, a little chaotic). I don’t know what the port staff can do if this is the case.
  3. To be fair, if the OP’s son had booked that flight themselves would find himself in the same situation. The only reason to book flights through NCL is to save $, it doesn’t make it safer if flights are delayed or canceled.
  4. Our family of 7 has never made a reservation.
  5. We were there with a day pass at RIU right next door so grabbed one out front, so if there aren’t any waiting at the public drop off you could probably get one there (I do recall seeing folks getting dropped off and signage for the beach so it’s close).
  6. Based on posts I’ve read here nope. The flights NCL has been marketing are discount flights, they act as a third party middleman between the airlines and passengers. They do not claim to get you to the ship.
  7. Cabbage beach is a short taxi ride, it’s gorgeous, no restrooms, but chair and umbrella rentals, vendors selling cigars, punch, and banana boat rides (that I remember).
  8. Plus most will refuse to go to Manhattan or charge a big fee.
  9. If you are gluten free you will most likely be in touch with a dietary manager to pre-order meals and told what is safe to eat on the buffet. I’d be shocked if there was nothing gluten free. Two of my daughters are celiac, and there was only one time my daughter had nothing to eat in a social situation (sweet 16 party, literally everything had gluten, not even a potato chip to be found). She went straight from work and was starving.
  10. The ship will not wait, NCL booked his flight but that’s all they do, he needs to find a way to get to the ship in time (and that time is before 4).
  11. The OP said the kids are 13, so not tweens, it looks like they can download the app, but if younger, it looks like they can get the app with parental permission. https://www.ncl.com/ca/en/cruise-faq/why-do-i-need-give-consent-my-child-use-cruise-norwegian-app
  12. I’ve cruised many times with teens, after breakfast I usually don’t see them again until we are getting ready for dinner, except in passing. I can’t imagine all of us staying in one spot all day long, and they’re usually not with siblings.
  13. We have 5 kids, our cruises on NCL out of nyc with 2 balcony cabins cost about $8000 all in, not on official school holidays but during weeks when they already had a day or two off. At 16/17 it’s hard to miss school for vacations. As a parent, k do understand wanting to make it enjoyable for kids since I’m paying for them.
  14. I don’t think so, it’s too far.
  15. I always opt for an Amazon gift card with no fees. We have banks in our area going cashless.
  16. What countries have this rule? Definitely not all. Ok I found a table online but couldn’t cut and paste, less than half?
  17. Did you ask for a one day deviation? I think you need to ask months out for that (it should be noted)and flight information is usually about 30 days in advance.
  18. Lol speak for yourself with the prices, we pay the same if not more here at home! The first time we had the UBP we paid for it (it just started) including gratuity, and it was definitely more than the $20 a day, cruise price was similar.
  19. I think if any of the girls are booked in the inside they will be canceled too.
  20. I like snickers, especially frozen. Hersheys tastes like vomit. I’m an American who gets chocolate from Amazon overseas of local shops that carry Cadbury and such (the American Cadbury is trash).
  21. I’ve never seen a hotel or ship with “all of the different blends,” just regular/decaf/Lipton. I can’t imagine many folks taking it, pretty cheap stuff. NCL only had them for balcony or higher, now just if requested. Do other lines have coffee makers? I don’t think every stayed in a hotel room without one.
  22. No bottled water included on soda or free at sea package, we brought yeti’s.
  23. I don’t think NCL has issues with stolen coffee pods, hotels either. My husband seems to have limited taste buds and ALWAYS makes coffee in hotel rooms and cruise cabins if available.
  24. Not all ships have a place to store luggage. We give it to the porters, we’ve never had an issue getting it, and head to the open MDR for lunch. By the time we are done eating our cabins are ready.
