I don’t understand how this works as proof, if I test positive I can just take a picture of someone’s negative test, if I can’t cruise for any reason I can just take a picture of a positive test even if I’m negative. With all of the talk about fake vaccine cards I do not trust folks to do the right thing.

There are also cabs lined up to drive the 20 minutes to the cruise port. My teenaged children have managed to Uber from Newark airport a few times, my husband does it once a month.

Been to Atlantis twice the first week of November, definitely warm enough. We’ve actually been to the Bahamas 4 times that week (NJ school holiday) and it was always warm.

Lots of fees, sometimes it works out to book it another way than CS.

Have sailed from NYC with a paid drink package and a free drink packaged (NCL), order as many drinks as you like after boarding, but the tax will be charged.

This situation is a no brainer, park at the pier. The cost savings to park at a valet lot are definitely not worth this hassle.

I switched a cruise from an away ship to the gem due to itinerary, it worked out because they were 13+ and in the teen club. All of my kids disliked the clubs as tweens, a 10 day winter cruise with a lot fewer kids on a ship without bells and whistles wouldn’t be their cup of tea (favorite part of cruising for them was meeting others).

But if folks could get the lowest price after final payment, wouldn’t literally everyone who paid more to get the cabin and date they want ask for a refund after final payment? So everyone would be paying the lower fire sale price?

So can we assume that now the cashier has the voucher? If the IP is the only one who can cash it in, wouldn’t the casino know it hasn’t been cashed out? To be honest, I’ve only been to a cruise casino once, got my voucher, and brought it home. I would have no idea that the voucher had any identifying information, so to me it would be like finding a $20 bill.

I once had my wallet/car keys stolen from my diaper bag in a park (chasing after 5 little ones). There was only an older woman there with a child. I reported the theft to the police, they asked me if I would be able to recognize and identify the woman, I said yes. Turns out she was already in custody, accused of stealing cash from another woman. When the police showed up at the playground, the woman ran into the bathroom and shoved the money under her clothes. The police had no way to prove the money sticking out of her shirt wasn’t hers, so they were about to let her go. Who is to say that the person cashing in the voucher didn’t find it on the floor?

Do you really expect a refund after final payment?

If folks test positive on the ship, I’d assume they’d be quarantined 5 days, that won’t change.

Parking is easy but expensive. When we were on the breakaway there wasn’t enough seating in the terminal. Back in the day there could be lines at customs after getting off, grabbing a porter saves time.

We loved our hotel beach days! I don’t recall the hotels being gaudy, but we were there for the drinks and beach. Atlantis has the best “lazy River” I’ve ever experienced.

You do realize different states handle drivers licenses differently, my 19 year olds had to wait in line for 4 hours on 2 different days - before Covid. During Covid lines were 13 hours long. In 2021 I only had to wait 4 with my appointment.

They will absolutely let you board with an almost expired passport if the ports allow it.

My daughter was given the bread free of charge, plus flourless chocolate cake from a specialty restaurant.

Maybe, I remember when our oldest was around that age we put her the daycare at a ski hill, I’m a terrible skier so even the odds of me eventually getting back to her were pretty slim.

We do, my kids have swam in ocean water that was <60 degrees, Memorial Day weekend might be the unofficial beginning of summer but swimming is pretty cold in NJ.
