  1. That was my favorite dessert on NCL besides ice cream (most desserts look pretty but are tasteless).
  2. When my boys were 13 (or really any age), the enjoyed the sports court the most.
  3. I think it’s more like eating the pizza and then asking for a refund. I do think this would’ve been an easy fix onboard, letting them know the internet was not satisfactory (it wasn’t), and asking to remove it and give you a full refund.
  4. I think up to 8 online, 1 can do it, might have to call.
  5. Just because there were kids in the splash parks doesn’t mean they were supposed to be there, to the best of my knowledge NCL has splash parks for potty trained kids. RCL and DCL have some ships with small splash parks for diapered kids (I don’t think kids without diapers are allowed).
  6. My kids loved the clubs when they were little, and the teen club, the 10 - 12, nope. It’s just an awkward age. Fortunately I always had more than one that age so they were able to do things on the ships themselves for short periods.
  7. Op I have 5 young adult children ranging from 19 - 26, man can they be dumb. My 24 year old has left his phone in Ubers and credit cards at bars, misplaces his wallet at least once a week. My 26 year old recently dropped her phone in a porta potty. My 19 year old recently had our car die on him 5 miles from home, told him to call AAA for a tow, he had it towed to a shop 5 miles away instead of our mechanic 1/2 mile from our house. On our last cruise, my daughter didn’t bring her license because she had her passport. Fortunately when the wave runner excursion leader asked for a volunteer to check drivers licenses, she threw up her hand. They’re still learning.
  8. I’d fly into LGA, stay in the city (figure out what you want to see and then hotel), Uber or car service to cape liberty, fly home from Newark.
  9. Another option are NJ Hudson River hotels like the Hyatt in jersey city, 10 minute PATH.
  10. I think you would’ve had a case if on day 3 or so you asked to cancel since it wasn’t meeting your expectations.
  11. It’s easy, plus you are close to the best Spanish/Portuguese restaurants in the country.
  12. What I notice on this thread is the difference the importance of an in cabin working toilet is to men vs. women. I’d rate it a 9 out of 10, right up there with a/c and a bed in the cabin. I know many women who would rather hold it than poop in a public bathroom. Plus there are other issues women need to deal with in the bathroom.
  13. I’ve been a AAA member since I was 17, but I don’t think we can do that in NJ, our DMV is a hot mess.
  14. Wow, you’re right! I decided to look into REAL ID, but there are no appointments available by me, although some others have slots open in September. I have a passport.
  15. On the breakaway (and I’m guessing the newer ships) that’s how the couch works as a bed in a balcony cabin, just remove the back cushion and tada!
  16. We are in NJ too, same day, no temporary, but getting that appointment..
  17. Yikes hope his DMV is better than ours, it takes weeks to get an appointment (took me over a year during Covid).
  18. Right, but after reading dozens of posts from people who booked many into a 2 bedroom haven cabin and are desperate to book an additional cabin for folks to sleep in, but want them to have heaven privileges, and are willing to pay for both cabins, and discovering it’s not possible, it seems nuts that someone is angry to be given a free balcony cabin and all get to keep the perks. I just can’t imagine couch guest will be upset.
  19. If you are in NJ I believe citymd does rapid antigen tests without appointments.
  20. I don’t think anyone you can talk to at RCL can answer the question, my guess is you wouldn’t be able to board and wouldn’t get a refund. Personally I wouldn’t be worried, no one I know has had any issues with proctored tests, and I can think of at least 3 places within a mile of my home that still tests without appointments. I’d look into those.
  21. We always ate at the grand Pacifica because we are a party of 7 and there are a lot more large tables. It’s just a different atmosphere.
