  1. I suspect that it’s not allowed to take any unpackaged food off of the ship.
  2. We live 10 miles away, always park at the pier. In NYC most cars bigger than a civic are considered oversized vehicles and have a surcharge.
  3. Actually if you take the ramp to the parking lot you don’t drop your bags, that’s a different lane and if you go that way you will exit onto the street and have to swing around again to go up the parking ramp. I’ve heard there are sometimes porters who have escorted departing guests to their vehicles but we’ve never been lucky enough to run into one in the lot. We just bring our bags onto the elevator.
  4. I doubt anyone involved in the brawls were smoking pot, it is more likely to prevent them.
  5. We are a family of 7, never make reservations, but we’re told it’s much easier to seat us in the large MDR.
  6. Hotels allow guests to leave luggage with guest services because thousands aren’t checking in at the same time.
  7. My son loves banana republic traveler pants, and they come in denim (LUXE denim is the lightest).
  8. My kids’ first cruise was a surprise, they had no idea until we pulled up at the pier. This was after a surprise trip to WDW. My oldest was 11 and excited. She was not excited to go on our next cruise at 14. Even though her 4 siblings were also going, she didn’t want to be away from her friends for a week and really worried about trying to meet others and being bored. Fortunately she went to the teen club the first night, met a lot of kids and had a great time. If you are going during a school holiday she’ll have a great time, tweens/young teens can be apprehensive.
  9. It’s just an area with hot tubs/pools, heated and regular loungers, sauna, steam room, maybe some other rooms.
  10. Lol pot is not cheap! Everyone I know who partakes is very financially stable.
  11. Why not? My daughter has dietary restrictions and they would literally make her anything she wanted. Not being able to chew food is a dietary restriction (although a typical toddler can chew food).
  12. You might want to ask for a one day deviation, I believe your flight will be a red eye landing the morning of your cruise.
  13. The cost to travel from NY to NJ and then in reverse might cost more than the higher hotel costs in Manhattan.
  14. Possibly, or perhaps a first time mom booking a future cruise not realizing that toddlers (because a 16 month old isn’t an infant) aren’t usually spoon fed puréed food. However if that’s not the case, I’m sure the kitchen can easily make up puréed food.
  15. Even before Uber/Lyft, Newark airport taxi’s left a lot to be desired, especially before gps. At busy times there could be long lines, and there were frequent language barriers. We are only 20 minutes away without traffic so could usually bum a ride from a family member.
  16. We are 20 minutes from Newark airport, for international flights many here end up going out of jfk to save money.
  17. This is from the menu of one of our local steakhouses.
  18. When is the cruise? Four of my five were potty trained before their 3rd birthday.
  19. Hopefully they will open up the club for the 3 - 5 age group by then.
  20. I agree, we’ve been on the breakaway and Gem with teens, gem was fine because there were a lot of teens, plus my boys like the sports court, but definitely no bells or whistles.
