I’m a little confused, instead of choosing early or late seating, with the same table and servers each night, the OP wants to choose a particular window seat table, and wants it to remain vacant every night regardless on when they arrive for dinner. Am I missing something?
It is VERY rare for a cruise to cancel due to weather, they will try their best to reroute. Hurricane season means cruises heading to NE instead of south. I do t think they really care if folks cancel, since they aren’t due a refund from the cruise lines for this situation.
Not recent, but we enjoyed our day at RIU, the breakfast and lunch buffets were good, and the ocean beautiful. My family prefers waves so cabbage over cable. We did the Melia but it didn’t include food back then.
Is it a Hawaiian cruise perhaps? https://people.com/travel/twitter-users-roast-southwest-airlines-for-giving-passengers-ukuleles-on-flight-to-hawaii/?utm_campaign=peoplemagazine&utm_content=link&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_term=632f1567e274b10001fd8f94&fbclid=IwAR0dg4EorKrAOapTjli8bdhahd_1Jxgh6xDXoAB7JWgJmDMz2AvvKUa4uL0
I agree, and have several musicians in my immediate family (2 in bands, we own so many guitars, ukuleles, mandolins, even a banjo), they stick with karaoke on cruises (thank goodness, it sometimes annoys me at home).
I don’t think I’d book an extra night in Miami if I was just getting off a cruise ship and was planning on sightseeing. They’re able to sleep the night before, shower, eat, get to the hotel and drop bags. It’s different if you need a room to sleep/shower.
And NJ beach lifeguards make minimum wage, it’s insane. It’s hard to find them because unless you are local, you can’t afford a rental on that salary (my son and 11 friends rented a 3 bedroom 1 bath bottom of a house for $50,000 for 3 months).
You have to book even numbers, if you book for 2 your son won’t have a spot. I don’t know if things have changed but I had to pay full price for my kids if they didn’t want to choose from the kids menu.
If she gets a doctors note and cancels, all onboard charges, taxes, and port fees should be refunded by carnival. She needs to contact her insurance company to find out her next step. I don’t know if insurance will pay if she’s a no show.
But the cruise has already been paid for two, the insurance company should reimburse the ill passenger, and then everyone is made whole. Why should the OP have to pay the single supplement when the cruise line gets to keep both fares?
