Same issues with overcrowding and lots of kids on November 18 Mexico out of San Diego. One evening it took 45 minutes to get into the dining room for dinner…after that I lined up half hour before opening to get in. Afternoons on sea days both pools were packed with kids. Evening movies by the pool were disrupted by kids and noise from the pool. Note to self: check school calendar and don’t book during school breaks.

I asked about using it for a non-alcoholic drink on the NA in October and was told that it was only for the Mariner Cocktail—no substitutions.

I was down the hall from you and saw those cabins blocked off on Nov 19th Koningsdam cruise.

Totally agree with Torquer’s suggestion of the beach at Nawiliwili. It is a short walk, maybe 10 minutes from where the ship docks. Safe beach with restaurants right there. On a side note don’t miss the ship coming in and out of the port at Nawiliwili…it’s amazing,

Totally agree with comments regarding number of kids and the aft pool. I was totally surprised at no Thanksgiving decorations. There was Turkey and fixing for dinner but no mention of it being Thanksgiving dinner. Only comment I heard on Koningsdam about it being Thanksgiving was a ‘Happy Thanksgiving’ from Chef Erick in the Lido rather than his usual ‘Good Mornings’.

I was on the same cruise. I know a lot of people won’t agree but……From my point of view the number of children on board was way too high and a big part of the problem was lack of supervisor by the parents. The kids were running crazy, climbing under and running around the tables in the dining room. On sea days both pools were packed with kids jumping and splashing….on that point maybe HAL should have one pool designated as adult only. My solution, for myself,…….look at the calendar and don’t book a HAL cruise during Thanksgiving week.

Got tested was good for me.

I did an antigen test and had no,problems entering the results. A friend had problems and determined that it was because….there is a section where you need to select ‘digital or paper results’ she was entering ‘digital’ because she did her test online…it has to be ‘paper’ because it was paper email results that she received. hope this helps.
