Yes it was Royal up. Went from a aft balcony to 2 Bedroom Grand Suite. Balcony in grand suite is not as spacious but having 2 bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms and having some extra privacy I'm happy. I am taking this cruise with my daughter for Mothers Day. We planned this for 10 years.
I hope you guys have a wonderful time. I think you will be pampered and that's a good thing. Cheers

I think there are cases on every cruise line and some ships have more than others. On the Princess board they are currently talking about two ships sailing which have cases and one cruise was cut short because of the amount of people on board who were positive. I think if you keep practicing your safety measures you should be fine. My last cruise was five days and everyone onboard made sure to wear makes when they were indoors and outdoors they took them off. At dinner people would remove masks once at their table

how soon can we expect our check in times to be available in the app

Hey you guys have lots of positive comments and that results in positive vibes for us who are waiting on a upcoming cruise. Thanks for the nice feedback. Cheers

No, I mean the ping time indicates they’re using birds at 23,500 mile orbits rather than the newer, closer, 5000 mile orbit. Yuck.
Your testing is fine and appreciated. I usually use fast.com as it’s easy to type and tends to have servers very close to the edge of the networks but the problem is at SES network operations or onboard, not at all with your testing.
So do you think it's cheaper for Princess to use the satellites further away because it costs them less money than using the 5000 mile ones, I would think the ship would search for the link nearest to the ship and lock into that

I downloaded the medallion app about a week ago, checked that my cruises were both there (Sept and Oct 22), and then removed the app. I'll put it back on after final payment for the Sept. journey.
That is a good option. I have an oct cruise in my app; but won't even mess with it until after final pmt

We love aft-facing cabins. The view is very relaxing and there is usually very little wind when the ship is moving!
I agree with aft suites. Our last three cruises have been aft. Calm and peaceful

so if you buy the beverage package with soda/milk shakes/fresh squeezed, this also includes lattes and chai's; am I correct in this assumption?

Are you upset with this letter? You do not mention or ask a question regarding this letter. Curious as to why you posted with no explanation.

let's just wait and see what the summer brings for sales on board

Here is what I did for my 10:30pm flight out of Seattle. I used the port valet program which took my suitcases to the airport. I had a backpack with me. Took taxi from the port to the Space Needle area. Toured around there, had lunch, went to a movie, and took taxi to airport. Arrived at airport around 3:30pm. Spent the rest of the day and night in the Delta Sky Club. Using the club lounge is a lot cheaper than renting a room for half day.

tracy.oy.001; you should get a check in time 30 days prior to your sailing. Some people have gotten it earlier and some have gotten it two weeks prior to sailing. Expect 30 days prior

I don't board for two weeks but completed the health questionnaire many weeks ago and got a QR code then. I think I am supposed to complete/update the health questionnaire a few days before we board but I read that on here - no one from Princess has advised me.
I did same as you. Completed health questionnaire a week or so prior to boarding; however, you will get a notification 24hrs prior to fill it out. They want to know if you're experiencing any symptoms within the last 24hrs

I would go to JR's and ask them if it's possible to have gluten free buns from their restaurant or from the kitchen. They should be able to accommodate your request.

Great pics of your suite. Bless you and glad you are having a good time. I can relate to losing someone too. So I know what you are going through.

I have used this service out of Seattle for our Alaskan round trip. It worked perfect. Filled out the forms, the Port of Seattle pays for the service and your bags arrive at your home airport.

In these uncertain times things change, shore excursions, airline schedules, cruise port schedules. Like post#2 said you gotta roll with it. Whatever happens with your trip, shore excursions, have fun.
Anyone seeing any Covid counts on RC ships?
