The Princess logo was added by you?
no what you are looking at is the medallion encased in the princess case. The person bought the plastic clip from home depot. All medallions come with the round medallion and the waterproof princess case

Great info thank you. 57 days and counting 🙂
Have fun, I did and I really enjoyed having the medallion; but I am a tech guy who loves all the new technology out there.

Just a quick question. I apologize if you answered this earlier. The first time on board with the medallion do you need to "pair" it with your door if you've done all the work and received it prior to arriving at the pier? If so what is the process?
TY,
Bruce
Bruce, the first time you approach your cabin you should hold the medallion out or near the digital screen by your cabin. It may take five seconds for the touch screen to recognize your medallion for the first time. Other than that you should be good to go. Also, I had my medallion in my change pocket of my jeans; when I approached the door; nothing; I had to take it out for it to activate the door.

I was aft on deck 10 caribe

You could be totally right.

Do not give up hope. Caribbean is going to dry Dock to fix propeller and that may give it more power to run the ac. I am not an expert by any means. Just saying don’t cancel yet. I was on CB in feb and had good air in cabin. Most nights had to wear socks to bed. Food was great.

Gorilla Girl. Glad to hear you are up and running

this pic was taken from roof top pool at the Hilton; I used points to stay here. Close to cruise port and free shuttle to St. Marks square.

Hlitner, good point on things being closed. I have been to Oia twice; and would be upset if most places were closed.

Ocean Ready would be the ship has been outfitted with digital screens at all the cabins and the medallion would be used instead of your cruise card. Medallion Net would be the high speed internet wifi. Ocean Ready is an app that you can download to your smartphone or tablet prior to your cruise. You can also go to ocean.com to fill out this info

Yes it does replace it. The ships that have medallion net will have the ocean concierge; it is only available on board the ship; so you can not download prior to boarding

Once you are 'ocean ready' do you have/need/want to do anything other than download the other apps to use on the ship - guess I'm asking if you have to re-enter any info or just log on with your same user ID and password ?
Hi you will use same info for the ocean now app. The ocean concierge app is tied to medallion net. Ocean now allows you to order drinks from the app and to find a shipmate. However, all the digital screens will allow you to find your shipmate too. The nice thing about the app is this; if you choose to find your shipmate who is in the buffet and you are on deck 5 piazza; you can have the app route you to the buffet area; it will gps you all the way there plus it will tell you if you took a wrong turn. The ocean concierge app allows you to order room service; check your room folio, and has the daily patters

Picking up your medallion at the port is not a big deal. Once you pass thru port security with your passport and boarding pass; there will be plenty of ocean medallion staff to help you pick up your medallions

Tak8, thanks for your input. I was in family suite on Emerald; which is basically the same location at the Sky WS. I did not mind it at all, the motion was not bad; and I do not mind walking
-
La Spezia, is northern Italy near Cinque Terre, Livorno is much closer to Pisa/Florence. So if you want to go to Florence; La Spezia is a further away. My suggestion would be to just stay in the Cinque Terre area; there is a lot to see there too

Do any of the above mentioned ships have family suites? I have sailed family suites on both NCL and Princess. You get two bedrooms and two bathrooms
-
Have cruised Europe and the Med four times; Always chose May. Perfect weather and very calm seas. So that is my pick. May; if you go early May you may save money; because the cruise prices start to go up in May/Jun time frame

Most ships allow you to start the boarding process around 10:30-11am.

Nope.the sign in info is the same now and I get the same result.
So sorry you have this issue of not being able to get your ocean medallion to set up. Have your tried downloading the app to your spouses phone and set it up on theirs?

Pamwigs, except remember your return trip; so actually you need to book 330 days from when you plan on returning home from your trip.
-
I am going to office depot and get one of these. Thanks for sharing this info

Cruise lines normally have hotels in the cities that they contract with for cruises. I would contact them and try and meet at one of those hotels for your transfer. I did this in London. On the pre cruise part of the website it lists the hotels that offer transfers to the port. We stayed in different hotel; and just needed to take taxi to one of the hotels for the transfer to the port. You should not have to go all the way out to CDG airport for your transfer to the ship.

I have the Sky booked for Oct 10, 2020; you are correct; nothing past Oct 31

I received my ocean medallion at my home in Cincinnati about 28 days prior to sailing. It was shipped via DHL from Singapore. From the time I received the email saying it was shipped; took about five days to arrive.
OCEAN MEDALLION

So You guys are saying that people go on a cruise; and if they find a medallion lying on the floor; instead of turning it in to front desk or security team; they are going to waste time to go to a touch screen and have the medallion route them to what ever cabin it belongs to? Come on; people aren't really going to do that are they? I understand single people; or everyone has security concerns. Princess has spent a lot of money with this program and security has to be at the top of the minds and concern. Passenger safety is paramount; so with that being said; seems like people are coming up with worst case scenario's for the medallion program.
