Apparently you have only seen Alaska from a cruise ship.
I agree with Thrak. and what about prices for New England cruises; they only sail there a few months a year.

I second the creme brulee'

thanks for the replies. I will try at least two different ones with my visit. I agree; thin crust only

Let's get back to where I can find good pizza

I just watched your hawaii video from your aft penthouse suite. My wife and I had the aft penthouse on Jade; we did two week med cruise; but your room looks pretty much like ours on Jade.

Great video; love your choice of music to go with it. This was my first cruise ever; back in 1998. So thanks for sharing; hope you enjoyed sailing on RCCL.

I've been in Venice during winter months. The side canals get ice in them; so you can not get water taxi; you have to walk all the way to grand canal out front; which takes about 15 minutes with your luggage. So visit in the spring when it's warmer

This pic was taken from front of Emerald Princess in Tracy Arms Alaska. But I got just as good pictures from both sides of the ship. Not sure why people insist on being all the way forward. It is cold and windy up front.

Depends if you think the following is better:
a) The retreat pool area is now about half the size it used to be on other Royal class ships and has no view of the ocean since cabins now line both sides of retreat pool area. (Pool is the same size, just the entire area is smaller with less seating on the sides.)
b) LaMer French restaurant is still where Crooners used to be
c) Sabatini's is back instead of the Harmony Chinese Restarant on the Majestic
Thank you for your reply. I don't hang out at pools; so for me not a big deal about size of pools. But, I can see where people who love to sit by pool and people watch this would be an let down. Is there are Crooners bar still on the ship?

Growing up in NJ, I would say I am headed to the city; (meaning Manhattan), or if I was headed to Yankee Stadium for a game; I was headed to the Bronx.

You're welcome! Our family really enjoyed this cruise. We compared our week to previous cruise lines NCL, and all decided the quality, different options for appetizers and main courses and desserts in the MDR we're top notch, 5 star, very delicious!! Our favorite place that we spent the most time is, wait for it, the POOL to swim in, there are two main pools, and an aft adults only pool, were all awesome!!
And a small pool at the aft with a hot tub right besides it.
My favorite, most favorite, favorite place is walking all around the ship on the promenade. 2.7 laps = 1 mile, great exercise!! And last but not least is the movies under the stars was amazing especially at night, seeing the moon and stars!!!
We even watched movies under the sun during the day.
yup, I hung out by this area quite a bit; I could run into buffet to grab food or ice tea. made it nice

awesome; good to know and you are good to go

I liked the music in your video; thanks for posting

Good Luck with your medallion registration. Let me know if you run into any issues; when do you sail? I ask because you really can't fill out the info too early; most people seem to be able to complete the medallion info within 45 days of cruise; the medallion will be mailed two weeks prior to cruise; or you can pick up at the port
-
smart move to book your own hotel. If you like an area which is close to shopping and food; then it is best to do that.

got it; thanks

If you go on ocean.com or download ocean ready app; you will need to put info in for each cruiser. You will need passport (you scan your passport barcode), security photo(has to be full on pic; can not be a side shot), regular photo;(which will be used when you enter your cabin), once you fill out the info you will get green checkmarks telling you that everything is complete. it will look like mine below

Slice pizza by the pool has pizza and stomboli's with a side of sauce. Never saw Sabatini's open during the afternoon. It was open for suite breakfast and dinner
Is there a forward viewing area over the bridge on Royal?
in Princess Cruises
