  1. Brought us to the front of the gangway where they scan you off the ship. Luggage is also in a separate area so easier to find. IMO, it was the best Suite perk. We went from finishing CK breakfast at 8:40 to getting in the car at 9. Our last cruise was out of Miami & with facial recognition, I don’t think we broke stride going through customs.
  2. I had a cast iron stomach back in the day. Our bar drink was a Harbor Light - tequila, kahlua, 151 rum lit. Dark Heineken chasers. My head hurts just thinking about it! Now a days, by day 5 I’m toast.
  3. Have never waited that long in line. We did get escorted off once and that was heaven. But on our last cruise, we left our room just before 8, had breakfast in WJ then sat in the Royal Theater til about 9:15. Took maybe 15 minutes to clear customs & get our bags. Maybe you are just leaving at the wrong time.
  4. Longer cruises attract less of the party crowd and at some point, drink fatigue sets in.
  5. Filenes got in trouble with the CT Dept of Consumer protection for this very reason. We had to take the towels off sale on Mondays & Tuesday’s so they could be on sale the rest of the week. Told customers to come back on Wednesday.
  6. That is how I’ve always had to do it, day by day. I was never able to decide the secret path to do all days at once.
  7. If your reservations are linked, you can get check in times for everyone in the app without any other information. App only.
  8. I booked last August for our May cruise.
  9. So if it’s something you also do, it’s ok?
  10. Yup see it correctly on the web, not on the sp yet. Thanks for the updates.
  11. This does not show on any of our passes, on the app, on the website, saved in my apple wallet, nowhere.
  12. Then you should understand a grandparent’s concern. It may not be His/her JOB to fix the problem but I would be asking the question too. “Not your room, not your kid” is a pretty cold response .
  13. I was on her last March & blown away by my first Oasis class ship and our gorgeous Owners Suite!
  14. I believe what was meant was he/she didn’t think Royal would want to give Pinnacles who stay in non suite cabins the same benefits that people who stay in suites get. They would want pinnacles to have to stay in a suite to get those benefits. It took me a few readings to understand it too.
  15. Also, I found that if I click the MTD dining room, there are no menus. But if I click on one of the other dining rooms, they are there. It’ll be the same menu no matter which dining room you are assigned to.
  16. And I tell my kids when the money runs out, we’re moving in with them. Gonna need someone to change my Depends!! My father died at 43 in a time when there was no retirement funds beyond Social Security. He worked in a factory his whole life. When he died, he left mom with 2 kids and an 8th grade education. She left school to help raise her younger siblings. Never had 2 nickels to rub together but when she did, she gave one to me and one to my brother. The ONLY thing in life I care about is my family’s happiness. If I die broke but they are all happy, it will have been worth every penny.
  17. I have a house on Cape Cod! Well my brother thinks it’s his house but I have a room there! It’s in Teaticket.
  18. I gotta have my balcony. I am out there at least 2-3 times a day for at least an hour each time. My quiet morning coffee, sometimes a little afternoon nap and then a glass of wine & stargazing at night.
  19. I remember waiting in line for Magical Express talking to my daughter about our various dinner reservations. The gentleman behind us commented on how much food was gonna cost us. I smiled and told him all our meals were free (gave up a room discount of about $30 per night for free dining). Thought he was gonna lose it as his TA never mentioned that promotion. It’s all in the research.
  20. See and just as you ask about $20,000 cruise suites, I ask about $10,000 7 day trips to Disney. I can only assume you booked the most expensive everything you could. I took my extended family (4 adults, 4 kids) for a week and spent under $8000 total. The kids did everything they wanted, we ate sit down meals on property every night including character meals, lots of souvenirs. I am a OCD bargain hunter I guess.
