When we were on board last summer, quite a lot of people did use the speciality restaurant as a way to get from back to front of Deck 7. Would it not also be possible to walk through on the opposite side?
One thing I did wonder was whether the tug was significant, or just precautionary. I’m not sure how windy it was on Sunday night, but sometimes it can be difficult getting into the Ocean Terminal if it’s gusty. Or could it just be welcoming her back after her world cruise?
There are indeed. But there are also people who genuinely, if mistakenly, think you will have a more enjoyable time if you eschew (love that word) the KC. Many think that it is a rather confusing and disagreeable space. On the other hand, if the meals aren’t an important part of the cruise for you, it serves up reasonable food that you can eat as you choose.
Section 43 of the very small print in the back of the brochure, the UK booking conditions, does imply that it is up to Cunard to get you home. I assume US are similar.
The house wines come to just about the same as those in the family hotel we stay in in Devon, more than Aldi obviously, but hardly unbelievably expensive.
I think this happens because a lot of people do two nighters from (or to) Hamburg, and a fair proportion of them, though by no means all, like the idea of a formal night. I also think that, if you are going to take the clobber for one formal night, you may as well make use of it and do several.
Isn’t it extraordinary that herring/heron gulls are supposed to be endangered? There are zillions round here - and, it seems almost everywhere I go on Cunard ships.
