What about the flats that women wear all the time in the MDR.  Same as flip flops.   But those are ok.

I don't care if they wear flip flops or flats or high heels or sneakers (I am a woman). Just relating my experience with flip flops, which was scary.

  2. I could care less what everyone else wears. However, I will agree flip flops can be dangerous. I caught one on a stair at home, fell (flew) about 6 steps, struck my head on the hardwood floor at the bottom of the stairs.  Got a nice deep slit in my head above my eyebrow. Hello Emergency Room and plastic surgeon. So, move cautiously. 🙂 🩴🩴

  3. We have had the haze from the Canadian wilderness fires for a few days (we are in Northern New Jersey about 18 miles from midtown Manhattan), but this is the first evening we actually are smelling it. Crazy strong right now.

Hopefully it is not too bad up North. ❤️to our Canadian friends.

We have Air Quality Alerts ongoing from our Weather apps .... "Levels of fine particulates will rise into unhealthy for sensitive groups category statewide today and Wednesday and likely last into the evening hours both days due to wildfire smoke transport from eastern Canadian wildfires."

  4. You can either just show up during the allotted MTD hours without a reservation or choose a specific time within the allotted hours and make a reservation. Reservations can be made in advance in the Cruise Planner. If the time slot you want is not available, go to the Main Dining Room as soon as you get on board. There should be someone at the MDR to assist with reservations, questions, etc. I doubt you will have any problem getting 8pm.

You can also get on the waiting list for the late dining. Maybe you are already.

    Enjoy!

  5. We stayed in 12248 described as having large balcony but frankly don't remember how big it was vs. standard. We like deck 12. Have also stayed on deck 11 and it was fine.

I would simply recommend selecting a deck with staterooms above and below, and mid-ship if possible.

  6. I don't think his flamboyance is the issue. He selects someone from the audience (normally a woman) and asks about where she lives, the # of bedrooms, if the kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, etc. Some people may not be finding it "funny," but rather insulting or denigrating.

Perry's off of the Anthem officially. RCCL did not renew his contract according to his Facebook page.

Interesting! We mentioned him to the CD on Liberty (who was previously the CD on Anthem) and the CD indicated he wanted Royal HQ to get Perry Grant on board. No question he attracts a crowd each night.

  8. We babysat our 6 month old granddaughter in Manhattan Friday evening while our DIL went with friends to the Taylor Swift concert. Our son was out-of-country.

We got a kick out of how dressed up DIL and friends were.

They got back at 2AM and we walked 15 blocks at great speed with our city "radar" up back to our car. Ha. Drove home without issue to New Jersey.

And in honor of US Memorial Day. This is for my uncle who I never knew. Killed in the Battle of the Bulge, WW2.

  9. We enjoyed the RCI Emotions AI excursion just earlier this month. Lovely place with pools and beach. Lunch was included and it was quite extensive. Some drinks were also included. There were some local vendors on the beach, but you could simply say "no, thank you."

    No snorkeling involved.

    Enjoy whatever you do!

  10. On very recent Liberty cruise, the drink of the day was as Biker says highlighted (with description) in the daily Compass. There was also a sign at most/all bars. Here were some of the drinks:

    Port Side Punch

    Dark&Stormy

    Goombay Smash

    Mai Tai

    Blue Hawaiian

    Michelada

    Bahama Mama

    Rum Runner

@mets07  I was just looking at cruises to Bermuda out of Cape Liberty for 2024;  I didn't see any 9 nights, only 5 nights.🤔

Lovely pictures.  Glad you enjoyed Liberty.  We were on Liberty in February and stayed in our first Jr. Suite, first Aft cabin for us.  Great ship!

Thanks.  I think there are some Liberty 9 nights in May and June 2024 They do one night in Bermuda and then other ports.

Nice!!    How was weather in Bermuda this time of year?    The earliest we have been there was end of May and it was quite nice but water was still a tad chilly.

It was a little cool, but plenty warm in the sun. We had a brief rain shower, but it came and went. We have been to Bermuda quite a few times, so decided to do Elbow Beach (had been there many years ago.) Took the bus there. Water gorgeous.
