  1. This is all very disturbing! Mrs Banjo and i are booked on a B2B in January leaving Ft Lauderdale and ending in Papeete. This trip is a bucket list trip for us and I spared, (,almost), no expense to book this cruise. With the website issues, not showing promised OBC, and very expensive looking tours I’m having second thoughts. I have read carefully the tour descriptions and if they can’t live up to these minimal standards, then this trip might be put off another year or two……. As I have said in other threads, I am watching things carefully as final payment time approaches, I’ll make a final decision.
  2. Mrs Banjo and I are booked in a Panorama suite gty for an October cruise. They said we may be upgraded if the Suite booked the panorama as a second room. We will see.

  4. Attempted to look at my bookings, on the website, this morning. The front page when I log in shows both of our cruises, but if you try to manage the booking, it goes to a blank page that never fully loads, so you get no info at all. For me at least, this has been going on for months now and on any and all of my devices. I have to say, as a first time Azamara cruiser, it is not a good look for them and does not inspire confidence that things will be right when we try to board. If we get to final payment day and this is still continuing, we will need to look hard at whether we continue or cancel.

  6. Mine is the same on both……..both wrong. I did however receive an email today, saying they were sorry that they never responded to first inquiry about OBC from May, but assured me they think it is resolved, but it is not……. So it appears that Azamara is very concerned, but not concerned enough to take action to resolve the mistake. Looks like I mill need to call to attempt to get the OBC corrected.
  7. I actually have a spreadsheet of user names and passwords to keep track of it all with some needing special characters, others not, etc, etc,etc. Mot too keen on using a password app, if that gets hacked, what then?!!!!!
  8. The thing that bothers Mrs Banjo and myself about being on the ship with a charter group is that many times the group will take over public venues and make them private. So, in effect, you are denied use of, or are excluded from venues and sometimes activities aboard. There is definitely a feeling of being left out. Now that may be imaginary, but that is how we felt, and why we try to avoid trips with large charter groups.

  11. Hi All. Sorry I have not been posting. I had some problem with the new log in process. Apparently, I needed to log if using an old email address that I had not used since signing up in 2007. When I asked for some help, CC was very helpful, but I tried checking all the email domains that I have ever used, all came back as….. user unknown. So I was resigned to signing up with a new user name and email address. But, the good news is CC must have figured out this was a problem, because when I tried to log in today using my old user name, (just for fun), it let me in and displayed my old email address, which I promptly changed. So thank you CC …….. whew, that was a close one.
  12. Mrs Banjo and I did this after a sailing in the late 1990’s where we were in the few, who were not part of a chartered cruise. We stayed away more than 11 years before returning to SS. We book all cruises based on the ship and the IT with only a secondary preference on the cruise line, (but we only book small ships). Our philosophy is that loyalty must work in both directions. If the line expects loyalty, they need to show it as well. Yes, the contract says they can, but doesn’t make it right. if I were you, I would plan my trip to Portugal on the time frame you need. I’m sure there are many river cruises and or land tours that would be very interesting.
  13. Site still shows us as having zero OBC for either of our future cruises, or for the B2B bonus OBC. Filled out the form again. Hopefully they get this cleared up!
  14. Same here. I’m sure it will be worked out prior to our cruise, so at this moment I am not worried, but will continue to watch and wait.
  15. We have not received any emails from Azamara recently.
  16. yes, their website was hacked with a Ransomware attack. They had to shut down, cancel some cruises and rebuild their website and call center IT, but I think they are back up and running again.
  17. OK So the website appears to be working. The other day, I filled out the B to B form to get the OBC that was advertised and now, instead of adding to the existing OBC, the website says OBC is $0.00. Hopefully they get this straight soon as well. I'll call them if necessary, but our cruise is not until January, so for now, I'll just sit, wait and watch.
  18. That was a point I made earlier, the company’s sales must be falling off the cliff because of these website and phone bank issues. The good news is, at least where I am, is that the website seems to be working again. I hope it stays that way
  19. This is looking like progress. My B to B cruises have shown up on the website and it says I can book excursions whooopi….. but not so fast….. if I click on the manage my booking tab, I go to a blank page……..oh well, still progress, I think
  20. Same here, it appears the website still has some major issues. This all looks bad, I hope it is resolved in the near future. They have to be loosing tones of potential bookings, because the website isn't working and the phone lines are still unanswered.... doesn't look good. Mrs Banjo and I have B to B cruises in Jan 2024, and i am starting to wonder if I should be looking at some alternate lines.... Just in case.

  24. I have negotiated my medical bills, including hospital bills for years. As a younger self employed man I could not afford quality health insurance. As a result, whenever I needed heath care, I would offer to pay cash, if the Dr, (or whatever), billed me at the same rate as they would bill insurance companies. Most often, they accepted my offer and the price difference was very dramatic, usually about 25% of the initial invoice.
  25. If you walk the city, you can visit the Book of Kells on your own, as well as eat a nice lunch and taste some fine whiskey or beer. Dublin is pretty easy.
