Good afternoon from somewhere in the Atlantic, heading toward Bermuda. It’s hard to keep up, so best wishes for anniversaries @bennybear and birthdays @Rowsby @marshhawk @cunnorl and prayers for those with illness @mamaofami’s DH, @smitty34877’s Tana or loss. We had a plane delay getting to FLL, but made it. Our shuttle to the hotel had us standing in the hot sun for an hour, which wasn’t pleasant. Boarding yesterday was smooth, and we enjoyed a private lunch. I waved as we sailed away, but since I had no idea of where we’d be, I didn’t request anything from PTZ. Dinner last night was in the French themed restaurant and we both had beef tenderloin en croute, which was very good. Sorry, no food pics. We’re in one of those infinite veranda rooms; not bad, but not like a balcony. It does make the room seem larger. Right now I have the window down, listening to the sound of the water as we sail. There are all day activities going on, but I’m resting today as my knees and back aren’t happy. BFF is off attending a talk. When out and about I’m still masking, particularly on elevators. Off to catch up on today’s posts.

A quick check-in from Charlotte. Next stop Ft. Lauderdale. I was up during the night with bad leg cramps; I drank lots of iced tea. After mowing but should have had Gatorade I guess. @superoma Great job on the lists! I did them in Word, saved to iCloud, then copied and pasted from my iPad. Prayers for all in need.

I think there's Starlink on the ship, but who know how well it works in the middle of the Atlantic! And once in Gemany I'll have our host's wifi, plus unlimited data through T-Mobile.

Good afternoon. Whew, just in from cutting the grass. It's 85 out, and fortunately cloudy now with a light breeze. It's still a chore. I had to stop about 2/3 of the way through for fluids, and my back was not happy. After a 15 minute break, I finished up. I really should look for someone to do the lawn, leaves and snow when I get back. I also must be getting weaker, lol. My large suitcase that will be checked weighs 40 lbs, but feels much heavier. Interestingly, BFF said the same about his. @dobiemom I'm glad to hear your good report. I can imagine that sleeping face down would be tough to do, even with the equipment that helps you adjust. @aliaschief Sorry to hear about the Covid cases; that remains a concern for me. I plan to mask in the congregate areas, and in the airport and on the plane. @durangoscots The end is in sight! Enjoy the extra time you'll have. @cruising sister I should have gone elsewhere looking for the booster; I wanted to get it before this trip but I'll just have to hope for the best. And I too carry a pharmacy with me! @sterling2 Welcome to the Daily and we hope to see you more often. @rafinmd Yay! 10 minutes is better than no minutes. Just slow and steady progress. @dfish It's good that you have a date for the adrenal surgery. Did the surgeon mention anything about needing steroids for a bit, as the other adrenal will have been suppressed by the excess cortisol?

Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Chinese is a hard language for non-Chinese to learn. Sometimes at work people confused me with someone who didn't look anything like me! I'll salute volunteers, who do so much. I've volunteered at the food bank and a women's shelter. I like the quote. Pass on the meal, the drink and wine. I've been to NZ, and in fjords, so maybe I was in the National Park. Another sunny day here, going up to 85. I need to get the lawn mowed before it gets too hot. Busy, busy doing last minute stuff! I'll be getting up at o'dark thirty tomorrow, with a 6:15 AM pickup to the airport. I'll actually miss doing the Lists, but will keep up with you all as the internet onboard allows. Good afternoon. It's lovely outside here, 64F and sunny. My check from the state unclaimed property came already! Wow, I wasn't expecting it for weeks. My hair is cut and my stylist offered to cut my grass once or twice while I'm away! The back of the salon is right across the alley from the back of my house. He'll use my mower which is in my detached garage. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I like garlic in cooking. I grew up hanging out laundry as we had no dryer. I haven't ridden a bicycle in a long time; and never learned gears or used hand brakes. I will pass on the meal (fish), unless made with chicken. I like the quote. Pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Flam. Another chilly start, but it's sunny and will be going into the mid-60's. Today I'll be getting a haircut. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Happy 150th Anniversary to HAL! Taxes are done, thankfully. Jugglers can be entertaining. Stress can be detrimental; some people with the eye issue I have say they get flares when stressed. Interesting quote. The meal sounds good, maybe on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Kralendijk. It was below freezing earlier, with snow flurries, and it's cloudy and windy, so there's a wind chill and frost advisory. The eye seems ok this morning. I think the knee drainage has stopped, but I will finish out the antibiotics. The knees hurt, but that's because of the bone on bone situation. No specific plans today other than continuing to get packed. I really need to weigh my checked bag as I worry it's too heavy. @StLouisCruisers Thank you for our startup today. In the department of I don't need this, now my right eye is red and irritated. No light sensitivity though. I know I did yard work the last 2 days and sun often bothers me (My glasses are transition lenses, extra dark). Also even with a visor I was sweating and my eyes were burning a bit from that. So, I'm putting in hourly drops to try to ward off a true flare. I have a lot to do, and no time for this! @rafinmd That sounds like a pretty good report. It's nice of your neighbor to help out with the lawn. I have a big yard, and really need to find someone. I like to mow for the exercise, but sometimes think it would be nice to have people who do both yardwork and snow removal, as I get older.

Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I can appreciate bats from a distance (I had one in the house years ago!), although when I was at Carlsbad Caverns they were fascinating. Unlikely I'll finish projects on Blah, blah, blah day. When I was in school in Boston, the marathon went right by one of my apartments; it was fun cheering on the runners. Good quote. Maybe on the meal, pass on the drink, and yes to the wine. I have never been to Rangiroa Atoll. Big temperature drop overnight with rain. It was 72F yesterday and now 48F, windy and cloudy. I decided last night that I hadn't seen much drainage from the knee, so I wouldn't wear the gauze or ace wrap overnight. No wet spot on the bed! I did put on just gauze with tape this AM. The antibiotic seems to be bothering my stomach a bit, so I'm eating a yogurt daily to put back good bacteria. If I get time I might pop out to get some probiotics. I suppose bean counters are necessary, but when they make medical decisions based on only cost, it upsets me. Interesting quote. I'll pass on the meal, and drink. Maybe on the wine, due to price. I've been to Alaska, but not Whittier. We had thunderstorms last night. It's warm and sunny now, going up to 82F, but thunderstorms again tonight. Then a cold front with possible flurries Tuesday! I'm surprisingly not sore after all the bending and moving doing yard work yesterday.
