You could stay in London near Victoria Station. I stayed in a little B&B a couple blocks away. I took the bus from LHR to Victoria bus station and then a bus to Southampton. It was a short cab ride to the port. The tube system in London is one of the best and easiest to get around.

This is awesome. Although my mom is older and doesn't travel anymore, my travels with her are some of my best memories.
I recommend checking prices on the higher level cabins to see if they have come down in price. You may be able to upgrade for little to no money.
Have a great vacation and enjoy your time together.

Just checked my cruise planner (Liberty, Feb 2017), and saw RCI is now offering a 15 punch coffee card for the specialty coffees for $31 plus the usual 18% gratuity.
That's just over $2 per coffee, any size. We did this on the last two Princess cruises and it was well worth it!
Glad to see Royal Caribbean is doing it now!
The difference between RCCL and Princess is that Royals you cannot use on another cruise. It is only good for the cruise it is purchased on. At least that is what I read in my cruise planner for my Cruise later this year.

On our Liberty sailing last week I was able to get a large vanilla latte and a large vanilla iced coffee for just 1 punch. They would just ask what size and I'd say large and no problem.
That is how it worked on the Jewel in November.

If the card is not fully used on the ship it was bought, can it be used on any other ship and if so, does it have an expiration?
I don't believe so. I saw on RCCL website that it is only good on the cruise purchased, but it can be shared.
Unfortunately, I cannot find the exacting wording from the website.

If you are before final payment, you can cancel the flight from RCI and book your own (usually) cheaper!
Once you purchase your airline ticket it is the rules of the fare. Some allow cancellation but most charge a hefty fee to change your flight.

I ordered medium and large beverages with my card on the Jewel in Nov.

As Bob mentioned earlier, you need to check on the rules for the ticket you have.
I have only cancelled/rebooked once, as the ticket price dropped from $1300 to $850. Even with their $200 cancellation fee, I still ended up with a $250 airline credit.

Do you recall how much the coffee card is
The coffee card is approx $36 (including service charge) for 15 coffees (mochas, lattes, etc).

I saw a cabin available on another website. When I called RCL, they offered another cabin. I asked about the one I wanted (better location). He did give it to me. Weird! But I would call them directly.

I've not been on Rhapsody yet, but on Freedom the machine only works with the cup that they give you when you buy the package. The cup has a chip in it and that is what the machine reads to dispense the drinks.
Exactly. That is how it worked in Nov on Jewel.

They need to be maintained better. On the Jewel TA, they were constantly not working....so much for my Coke Zero[emoji26]

I guess I shop there often enough. It doesn't matter to me if it is OBC or cash card for a store. That usually means I will purchase less on board.

Although I didn't order it, on the Jewel in Nov, they were out of the chai tea latte for the first couple days (until everything was unpacked). You can purchase the coffee card on board, if you want to check on availability first.

There is a coffee card being sold on ships. It is good for 15 coffee drinks (not at Starbucks kiosks) for about $36 (including service charge). Some have reported it offered on your vacation planner but I bought mine on board. I was able to get any size coffee drink (mochas, lattes, etc).
I was told any leftover punches cannot be used on another cruise. However, others have been told differently.

My parents used Special Needs at Sea. The wheelchair was in their stateroom when they boarded. They left it in the cabin to disembark. The cruise lines work with them all of the time.

Air2Sea has the best prices for one way international flights. As most airlines allow, you can book no more than 330 days out.

I was told you cannot use the unused punches on a future cruise. However, others have been told differently. Check on board for that....
Since there are 15 punches on the card, and it is shareable, you can use as many as you want. The max I used was 3.

On the Jewel last month, it was on an end cap of a buffet station. There was someone serving.
