Can you buy those coffee card on board or you absolutely need to buy them online?
Yes, at Cafe Lattetudes (or similar coffee bar).

Please clarify "service charge." Never paid any service charges for up sell or changing from one category to another, or for any changes made directly with RC.
Increase in gratuities.

I called RCCL directly to pay for On Board credit. I couldn't do it online either.

service charge? You mean the additional daily gratuities of $13.50 pp pd in a JS but $16.50 pp pd in a GS?
It was a few years ago, I just remember paying about $50.[emoji1]

From what others have said, it is very unlikely. However, I would keep watching pricing. Worked for me. We went from a JS to a GS for no additional cost (except for service charge).

Can you use Long Beach? Much easier and smaller airport. I too live in LA and would only do what the first person suggested, self disembark and taxi if you take an early flight from LAX.

You can walk around deck 5 but need to cut through the front of the ship as there is no helipad on the Rhapsody.
Perfect!
Thanks

Jewel had them in Nov. But be warned they are frequently out of service. I love Coke Zero but majority of my drinks were Diet Coke from one of the bars.

Does the Rhapsody have a wrap around deck on 5 or 6? The Jewel had one and I used it for my morning walks. Thanks, Dena

I've never done it. But technically, they can have you pay duty on your items, even though you purchased them in the US prior to taking them outside the US. Years ago, I traveled with my receipt from my new camera, but was never asked for it.
Unfortunately, there are too many people trying to bring things into the US and not pay duty. My thought....if you can afford the expensive item, you can afford to pay the duty.

The Windjammer has lots of seating - more than any ship I've been on. That was a big plus for us.
And there is outside dining on the back of the ship (outside of the Windjammer).

Was the food venue in the Solarium open for breakfast?
You might want to double check. It was open every morning on the TA in November. I ate there quite frequently. But I think their hours were pretty short....

Thanks everyone for the information. I likely will pick up a few cans in a grocery store in Barcelona to tide me over.....they cannot be more than the $3.50+ on the ship now.

Personally I would not risk flying in the day of a cruise. There could be multiple delays.
Yes, you could book with them and their transportation from the airport to the ship. However, if your flight is delayed (they have no control over that) it is very unlikely they will hold a ship. I cannot say never as I believe it happened to one ship I was on but they only waited about 30 min.
If you want to take the risk, make sure you have travel insurance to cover any costs to get you to your first port (even if an island in the Caribbean).

My cruise later this year is my first as emerald (I will be diamond after that). I know I can pick a "gift". If I pick Diet Coke, how many cans do I get? If I pick water, how many bottles do I get?
I am boarding in Europe so trying to decide if I want to bring any on board.
Thanks
Dena

Air2sea is much better on international flights (at least for my one way to catch my TA cruise. I always fly in at least one day ahead.
If you fly in early (unless staying at the airport), their transfers aren't convenient. Plus they cost more.
Yes, they generally offer transportation when disembarking to get you to the airport. But unless there is only one person, a taxi can be cheaper. And in some cases, even for one pax, about the same. As others have stated, you likely have to wait for other pax to fill the bus.
If you are looking at flights within the US, their prices aren't always better.
Where are you flying from and to?

I've used Runnerbean for the gothic quarter and really liked them. Our guide was great. Occasionally, she would stop and give us a few minutes to take pictures. I would use them again.

Oh. And almost forgot. My friends doing Anytime go down and request a table and they give you a beeper. So you can enjoy a drink at any bar and then get notified when your table is ready. Hello. Why doesn't Royal do that ?
I was on the Jewel TA in Nov and they had pagers while waiting for dinner. It was nice, so we could go to a lounge and wait for our table.

On the Jewel in November, I could order any size beverage and it would use 1 punch. Any leftover punches cannot be used on a future cruise. The card is only good for the cruise purchased. And it can be purchased on board at the Cafe Lattetudes (or similar).

If you don't want to take Princess' shuttle, you could take Uber. Princess uses The Port of Los Angeles which is in San Pedro. I would plan on 1 hour even though it may not take that long.

I am glad I found this information. I am looking at a flight arriving around 930pm (traveling solo) and was trying to figure out transportation to my hotel. I am booked near Placa Catalunya. I've been to Barcelona before and have taken the Aerobus, which I hope will work this time too. Glad to hear taxis are safe late at night.
Thanks everyone for the info.
