  1. I've never done it. But technically, they can have you pay duty on your items, even though you purchased them in the US prior to taking them outside the US. Years ago, I traveled with my receipt from my new camera, but was never asked for it.

Unfortunately, there are too many people trying to bring things into the US and not pay duty. My thought....if you can afford the expensive item, you can afford to pay the duty.

  2. Personally I would not risk flying in the day of a cruise. There could be multiple delays.

Yes, you could book with them and their transportation from the airport to the ship. However, if your flight is delayed (they have no control over that) it is very unlikely they will hold a ship. I cannot say never as I believe it happened to one ship I was on but they only waited about 30 min.

If you want to take the risk, make sure you have travel insurance to cover any costs to get you to your first port (even if an island in the Caribbean).

  3. My cruise later this year is my first as emerald (I will be diamond after that). I know I can pick a "gift". If I pick Diet Coke, how many cans do I get? If I pick water, how many bottles do I get?

I am boarding in Europe so trying to decide if I want to bring any on board.

    Thanks

  4. Air2sea is much better on international flights (at least for my one way to catch my TA cruise. I always fly in at least one day ahead.

If you fly in early (unless staying at the airport), their transfers aren't convenient. Plus they cost more.

Yes, they generally offer transportation when disembarking to get you to the airport. But unless there is only one person, a taxi can be cheaper. And in some cases, even for one pax, about the same. As others have stated, you likely have to wait for other pax to fill the bus.

If you are looking at flights within the US, their prices aren't always better.

Where are you flying from and to?

  5.

Oh. And almost forgot. My friends doing Anytime go down and request a table and they give you a beeper. So you can enjoy a drink at any bar and then get notified when your table is ready. Hello. Why doesn't Royal do that ?

I was on the Jewel TA in Nov and they had pagers while waiting for dinner. It was nice, so we could go to a lounge and wait for our table.

  6. I am glad I found this information. I am looking at a flight arriving around 930pm (traveling solo) and was trying to figure out transportation to my hotel. I am booked near Placa Catalunya. I've been to Barcelona before and have taken the Aerobus, which I hope will work this time too. Glad to hear taxis are safe late at night.

    Thanks everyone for the info.
