  1. It very clearly says "On Saturday February 04, 2023 at 6:00 PM until 11:00 PM" .
  2. An individual can't rent a jet ski in Bermuda. Only guided group jet ski tours are permitted. You can rent a boat such as a Boston Whaler for fishing.
  3. NCL has always offered cold cloths, water and punch. I don't recall Oceania doing so and I was surprised by that when I took my first Oceania cruise some years ago since NCL is the mass market line in the NCLH group while Oceania is its upscale sibling. It's small but pleasant amenity in warm climates.
  4. As already noted, $18 is the admission fee to the museum, which also allows you to watch the dolphins. The $18 is for adult admission . There's no charge for children under age 16 .
  5. If it were 12 hours later at 3:45 pm the ship wouldn't be able to make it back to New York on schedule. It's about 950 nautical miles
  6. While it may be legal to use a Nexus card, some cruise lines, particularly luxury lines, require all passengers to have a valid passport expiring no earlier than 6 months after the completion of your voyage. Your question can't be answered without knowing which cruise line you'll be on.
  7. Not so: https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/nexus/card NEXUS Cards If you are approved to participate in NEXUS, you will receive a membership identification card to use when entering Canada or the United States at all designated NEXUS air, land and marine ports of entry.
  8. Prima is smaller than Breakaway. Prima is 965 feet long and 142,500 Gross Tons. Breakaway is 1,068 feet long and 145,655 Gross Tons.
  9. No...cruise lines stop at ports with Level 4 warnings such as Acapulco. I've been on multiple cruises that have stopped at Corinto, Nicaragua.
  10. The ferry from Hamilton runs later on Harbour Nights. Here's the schedule from the summer of 2022. The extra Harbour Nights runs departing Hamilton at 9 and 10:30 are in red: http://www.marops.bm/Documents/Ferry/Summer Ferry Schedule 2022.pdf
  11. LGA is much closer than JFK...depending on route taken almost half the driving distance. But I wouldn't make that the primary deciding factor. Book your air based on price and convenience of the airline schedules. If those are about equal then book LGA to save a few dollars on taxi, car service or Uber fare as well as saving time. LGA has just undergone a massive renovation and is now a much improved airport.
  12. FYI some states do not use a raised seal on their BCs. As long as it's an official government-issued BC, as opposed to a hospital-issued certificate, it's valid.
  13. Assuming you're a US citizen you can take your cruise with an official birth certificate and government-issued photo ID such as a drivers license in lieu of a passport. None of the ports on your itinerary require you to take a passport ashore. When going ashore you'll need the ship's room key card that you'll receive when you check in at the pier in Miami and your photo ID.
  14. There can be cruises from the East Coast that make the Canal transit at the end of the cruise. You just have to look for them. Right now the Norwegian Gem is on a voyage that embarked in New York on January 25 that will make a full transit of the Canal on its last day, disembarking in Panama City (Fuerte Amador) early next week.
  15. OK...so my suggestion is out the window...sorry
  16. For as long as I can remember the standard advice was to not stay at any of the hotels in the immediate JFK area...even if they were part of the major chains...because they were used by the city to house people who were temporarily homeless. This tended to result in an environment where it was difficult to get a good night's sleep due to the noise from children in the halls and nearby rooms. I can't say whether this is still true as I haven't followed the situation recently since no one has asked about it for several years. Have you considered staying near the cruise terminal where you'll be disembarking and taking a car service, taxi or Uber/Lyft or is your flight so early in the morning that you're reluctant to do that ? We live in New Jersey about 65 miles from JFK but even for a morning flight we much prefer taking a car service from home in the wee hours of the morning . If you stay near your cruise terminal you'll be a lot closer to JFK than we are.
  17. I'm sure the poster was joking, but there were tokens before use of the launderettes became complimentary and some people may have still a few they bought when there was a charge . I might even have one or two left over that I had bought on an earlier cruise.
  18. There's a thread pinned to the top of this board that lists the ships that can use the original locks, known as Panamax ships. Of the ships on your list, Norwegian Gem and Celebrity Constellation qualify.
  19. Yes, it will be sailing from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook. If you want to stay in Brooklyn the Marriott Brooklyn Bridge is the hotel most commonly recommended. You also might consider staying in Manhattan in the Financial District. There's a ferry from Pier 11, Wall St. at the East River that goes directly to Red Hook, literally just a few steps from the cruise terminal. If you're staying in NY City for more than just an one night prior to your cruise you should definitely stay in Manhattan.
  20. Yes, Endeavor was bought by Silversea and renamed Endeavour . A&K bought Symphony and Serenity as well as the rights to the Crystal name . Symphony's capacity was about 950...Serenity about 1,040. Reportedly A&K may be reconfiguring the ships to reduce capacity. They may be combining some staterooms to create larger suites. We'll know more shortly as A&K is supposed to begin to take bookings as early as Feb. 1 .
  21. Don't waste your time going to Peggy's Cove. Nothing worth seeing there, particularly for someone with your interests. I'd just stay in Halifax. Given your interest in history, I'd recommend including a visit to Fairview Cemetery, where over 100 victims of the Titanic sinking are buried. I haven't been to Lunenburg, but I'd go there before I'd go to Peggy's Cove.
  22. I'd go with the Pearl. Your daughter is only 6...if she were a preteen or teen perhaps I'd pick the Prima, but I think at age 6 the kids program on the Pearl should be more than enough to keep her happy. No need to spend the extra time and money to travel to and from NYC for the Prima when the Pearl is right in your back yard.
  23. That's not how I read the requirements of the Coast Trading Act. I appears to me to be similar to the USA's PVSA, which does not permit the transportation of a passenger on a foreign flagged vessel from one US port to another, even with a foreign port call. PVSA does make an exception, but that exception requires a port call in what is defined as a distant foreign port. However I admit to not being as familiar with the Coast Trading Act as I am with the PVSA What was your itinerary? Where did you embark? If you embarked in the USA what you did was legal. If you embarked in a Canadian port, likely not so per my explanation above. If I were to violate the PVSA the cruise line would be fined and has the right to collect that fine from me. BTW...where in my post did I use the word "beg"?
