  1. I’m happy with my $100. It would be nice to have levels above 51 cruise credits but I’ll take what I’m given.

Pam, at what level do you receive $100 OBC? Just curious. Thanks!

  2. The Ruby is a BEAUTIFUL ship you'll love her. I practically lived on that ship when it was docked in Ft. Lauderdale, up until the Royal and Regal came out. I was last on her last July for Alaska, and she is great shape and is just as wonderful as I remembered. I will be back on the Ruby this June for another Alaskan cruise. Enjoy your trip :)

  3. I've down the glacier trek last year on the glacier which was fantastic. I'm hoping this meets the same expectations. I do like that it is not strictly a flight, but you are given 2 opportunities to walk on two different glaciers. I am very excited, as I did book it earlier today and got the last spot available!!!!! :)

  4. I agree this is not my favorite. Anytime the ship has a late departure from any port, they do open seating, as many people are out and about exploring off the ship. I am one of those regardless who always make it to my traditional seating time, as I always work my excursion around my dinner. Since I always do early seating at 5:30 I have no problem getting my normal table as I am always one of the first n the dinning room.

  5. As of right now you are wait listed and are #28 awaiting a table for 2 for early seating traditional dinning. However your booking summary will continue to say anytime dinning, until you are no longer wait listed. If you are still wait listed when its time to cruise, talk to the Maitre'D as soon as you get onboard. I hope it all works out in your favor :)Us

  6. Yes! Its the only non new ship that was received the on demand tv during refurbishment a couple years back. Princess will never touch the older ships again, as it was boats loads of work to wire all these staterooms, from what I hears. So if you're going on the Sapphire, ENJOY! I love the on demand when I go on the Regal frequently.

  7. Well It let me apply the OBC to final cost. I just booked an excursion. I also just called Princess directly to ensure when is the latest I cancel if needed.I understand the reasoning behind this, is simply because people took advantage of reserving excursions, (which payment would be charged once you got onboard) however people would cancel and not giving people the opportunity to book these excursions, usually the ones in high demand People's selfish acts cause consequences for all others, when they they put several excursions in their reserve cart with no intentions of paying / going on them. What to do. Just go with the flow as always say.

  8. Awesome!!!! Looking for something different, as I was in Alaska last summer. I 've done the glacier treks and dog sledding. This seemed unique and different with the combination of heli, hike, and train, along with beautiful scenery. I LOVE photographing on my travels, and thought this had potential. Thanks for ensuring me.

Did you hike on to the glacier?

  9. Can I no longer use my OBC to pre-book my excursions. I know I would be able to hold my excursion till I got online. Do I have to pay in advance now, I knew they were changing the rules on this back in October. If someone can officially the new protocol would be great. Thanks.

  10. If you're asking what I think you're asking, yes, I believe foregoing life jackets at muster is now fleet-wide. We did not have to bring them on either Crown cruise in December.

I do not "love" this, as I think the entire muster drill has gotten too happy-face and totally lacks gravitas. On the 5-day cruise, filled with newbies, it was clear that the passengers were taking about as seriously as you'd expect when important information is being delivered by B-List actors (and I say that as someone who still loves The Love Boat -- just keeping it real).

Woohoo!!!! Thank you for confirming. One less hassel of everyone trying to get to, or leaving their station all trying to return their jackets to their stateroom.

  11. I'll be heading back to Alaska in June on the lovely Ruby Princess. Looking for recommendations and to hear what your favorite excursions are in Alaska.

Last summer I had the opportunity to the glacier trek on Mendenhall Glacier. Did the Helicopter / Dog Sledding on the Glacier in Skagway. Misty Fjords Flight Seeing and I went Bear Watching in Ketichkan as well.

Looking for some fun, and new exciting activities. I can;t wait to hear.

  12. I went on the site to potentially purchase one of the princess luxury mattresses. I noticed no price was listed, as if they were sold out. I emailed them asking when they will be getting more back in stock. They told me they're currently is none in stock and they are not selling anymore mattresses or box springs until further notice. It said they will put a price up once they decide to sell more. Anyone have any clue to as why they're not selling anymore. Are the out-of-stock? Or was there an issue?

  13. I book a cruise, because I just want to cruise. However I was looking forward to piloting the Ocean Medallion, as I am cruising onboard the Regal starting in November for at least one cruise a month through March. For My November sailing I was informed by email, that my cabin is not apart of the group that is activated with the *****. I take it with a grain of salt, but sadden on the perspective, I was so excited to test the ***** out, and to be upon one of the first.

I think Princess should have 'QUIETLY" rolled out the ***** without promoting it to the world, until after giving it a test drive. All Princess has done is create all of the hype for a product is nowhere near ready.

Guess being Elite means nothing. I do like my pretty black card I get, along with free laundry and stuff. What do? I say just sail away like I always do on my beloved Princess.

The ***** is like a hiccup.
