  1. I have enjoyed several items previously. I have seen both the App and had a paper copy on request. I do not see a vegan menu listed on current Symphony App, perhaps it has not been fully updated.
  2. Glad the Indian alternative has been listed again (as it used to). Agree the menu titles are pretty meaningless but then so were the “herb” series. I guess someone in marketing has to show some creativity from time to time. They could call them Day 1, Day 2 etc.
  3. +1 although it was always available just not listed. They have tried this before though so it is nothing new just a recycled idea! Bringing back a salad entree would be good too.
  4. What date did they announce it wasn’t required? As I said I stopped following when I cancelled my TA but I am surprised I haven’t read multiple posts of elation on CC when it was announced. It is unusual for some thing like that to slip quietly by. As far as I recall last announcements were for Fall crossings with the expectation that they would be updated before the Spring. I certainly missed any updates where they were not required for future TA’s but then I changed my sailing to a US repositioning cruise instead.
  5. Sorry didn’t realize Symphony was so early. I have never taken one that early in the year.
  6. Not sure which cruise line (pier) you will be at but we have had good luck with day passes to resort hotels at that age, Park Royal (which doesn’t require transport from International) and Allegro - good splash ground and climbing frame. Most have children’s clubs/ playrooms. There are several others if you go to third party broker sites.
  7. What do you expect them to do? The vaccination requirement doesn’t actually seem to have been changed, as in officially rescinded and then re-added. The protocols have always been subject to change, and in fact were at short notice as I recall for TA’s in 2022. I, for one, booked assuming vaccinations would be required, also possibly/probably testing. If any of those requirements were rescinded it would have been a bonus. This “reminder” of requirements has been issued prior to final payment, which I realize is OK for US guests, not so good for overseas guests who were perhaps hoping/expecting restrictions to be lifted.
  8. Those prices are out of date. Not sure why finding information on the Paradise Beach website has always been such a problem. With their “new and improved” site there are 5 pages of “helpful information” answering all sorts of FAQ. Here is the section you require: IS THERE A NON-ALL-INCLUSIVE OPTION AT PARADISE BEACH? There is the possibility that on the day you're traveling, Paradise Beach might be sold out with Exclusive All Inclusive customers, so we really encourage you to book your spot in advance on our website. However, on certain days when we are not sold out, there's an à la carte option for a $10 US entrance fee with a minimum consumption of $10 US per person to use our facilities. This includes lounge chairs, umbrellas, pool, free wifi, restrooms, and showers.
  9. I was booked on a TA for this spring but cancelled due to itinerary change. I must have missed that they officially rescinded the requirement that was in place from November 2022.
  10. I wanted to add, if you have never been round the island, the Bar Hop is a good option for first timers. Despite its name it is not generally a booze trip, (obviously depends on participants on the day) but there is no-coercing or pressure to drink. It can be a safe and well-run excursion, especially for first timers and for two people is often a cost effective option for getting a private tour round the island. Although it obviously does visit bars and those bars are in a beach! Advantages are it can be a social excursion (which can be good or bad!); disadvantages you are not on your own schedule and don’t have the flexibility to focus on stops you want to make.
  11. I could understand if there was a single person guarantee pricing but if I am paying the rate for a two person cabin i would expect to get at least the minimum two person cabin.
  12. Well, I might complain about that too! I have never had that happen since I haven’t booked a guarantee for one, in fact i thought you had to go through special hoops to book a guarantee for one? Maybe it was a special single guarantee price? There aren’t many ships with single studios - not sure what category that would come under since they obviously couldn’t give it to a couple. Did you pay a two person guarantee rate? Perhaps your TA can advise you regarding categories for going forward?
  13. Not sure any one is complaining but while there is an option available to move within the assigned category I don’t understand the problem. There are all sorts of reasons why one location would be preferable to another to different people. If the option wasn’t available, so be it. I agree it is a gamble you may get the minimum category within the cabin type, you may do better. You may get stuck at the front or back, you may not. Some people actually choose to be aft, I would choose to be middle but I understand that with a guarantee I loose that option to choose to some degree. We are not overly fussy about cabin location and sometimes it makes sense to take a gamble. Sometimes it doesnt.
  14. If you are still several months out lots of time for change. Check back nearer final payment when there will be cancellations, and holds released by TA ‘s.
  15. Yes sorry, typo! You are correct i was about to change it.
  16. Diamond lounge has not gone. Vouchers are pre-loaded on your seapass card for drinks up to $14 pp pd to be used anytime, at any bar. It has been a welcome change by most people. For Diamond you will get 4 drink vouchers per person per day. Use it or loose it, resets at 2am.
  17. Your schedule is the regular 5- night itinerary. We have done it multiple times. Occasionally they throw in Progresso for a change. We have done the Progresso route previously on the Vision and Enchantment out of Galveston. Incidentally, we have also had the scheduled itinerary changed to an overnight in Cozumel after our ship (Enchantment) was unable to dock at Costa Maya due to wind and currents. I can understand the overnight stop not being particularly attractive to families. It would also be a lot more attractive if the ship docked at Punta Langosta. There are a lot of bars and restaurants on Cozumel that only open at night so it does present some new alternatives to young/older adults looking for a change, although with drink packages and included dining this is probably a limited number of guests.
  18. You can change to another room in the exact same category that is available. We have done it even recently. Or you can go back into guarantee pool and “ hope” for something better. It is unlikely they will change the assignment otherwise.
