  1. “Difficult”, as in difficult to “find” a taxi there and, more importantly, back. Although we have never been to Limerz, I do recall considering a few years back when it first opened. It appears, like everything else, prices have increased considerably since then and the facility has grown. However it would appear that transport arrangements are now more organized also.

    Beach Limerz?

How was transport to and from the beach?
  3. Have you done the day pass yet? Is transport extra and if so how much and how difficult?
  4. Here is a review with map of cycle route and snorkeling. https://twowheeledtourists.com/cycling-in-cozumel/ the town area is busy and needs extreme caution because of one way streets. Once out on Melgar there is a dedicated path north and south. There is another rental place nearer to International/Puerta Maya.
  5. I think a new thread would have been advisable for more specific information. I haven’t been since reopening but there is definitely a new restaurant which has been open a while. Novena Ola. - part of the group with Sky Reef and La Monina. This website says elevator.. https://cozumelparks.com/en/cozumel-museum/ i have always found them quick to respond to emails.
  6. The three places you have shortlisted will offer very different experiences and only you can decide which factors are important. Given your criteria, I would discount El Cozumeleno. For a hotel resort day pass, depending on which of the three piers you are docking at possibly consider Park Royal or Occidental. Nachi Cocom sounds like it would probably best suit your needs - it is not completely AI but it is a choice of 4 items from each section of the menu ( somewhat flexible) but Including transport costs it will come in over budget. I haven’t been to Cabana Beach. I wish I could have visited when it was on promotion last year. Prices are now creeping back up to pre-covid. It will probably be the most relaxing in a private area but you will be paying for amenities you probably won’t have time to use on a limited cruise ship day, and you will need to pay extra for most food and drinks, plus transport.
  7. I received a prompt reply within 24 hours. Try activities@infinitybay.com
  8. If these have all been since cruising resumed, I would say you have been extremely lucky. There have been numerous reports discussing the new policies and problems for MTD. Can I ask what time you book your table for? We will be trying again next month.
  9. Glad that has worked for you this time and on this ship. I am not sure I would be confident enough to suggest this as a general rule. We have done MTD for years, almost since its inception and agree in the past the system worked very well, in general. I do not have as much confidence as you, especially on the ships we have sailed, that the system is working that well post-Covid. I would not be comfortable walking in expecting our table to be available. We have generally been able to secure A table in the same AREA, with the same waiters, at a set time but I would not like the embarrassment to people already dining, or the inconvenience of the waitstaff to just walk in and assume a particular table would be vacant and prepared. Sounds like you have been fortunate. The Liberty must be more organized than the multiple sailings we have taken out of Galveston recently.
  10. Small Carnival and Royal ships will often dock at Langosta, if there are too many at their own dock. Virgin docks at Langosta. NCL generally docks at Langosta but for some reason that I have never known why, they are the cruise line that usually ends up tendering at ports with overload. In Cozumel, they will tender to International or downtown.
  11. Yes, I have read the description hence the reason why I asked if any cruisers had actually taken the tour. Her website description mentions 5 stops but only three bars and is for 4-5 hours. I have seen other descriptions of her tour which states 2 and a half hours for cruisers yet mentions another bar. (I think one tasting is her own cocktail at a private stop.) However I am interested to know which bars she actually stops at, what they are like, and if it is very rushed since it is only half as long as her regular tour. I could write and ask her but would prefer first-hand review if possible.
  12. Any reviews for rum bar hop tasting tour with Annie’s tours? Which bars does this tour visit?
  13. How often has one been there?
  14. NCL generally docks at Punta Langosta in town and you could walk easily to Snr Frogs. There is one Snr Frogs, check Google maps, near Hooters. sometimes, (probably more than 8 ships), NCL may tender and that could be to a downtown location, or International, or possibly Puerta Maya. In which case you would need a taxi. Bar Hop will drop you off at your pier at the end. Perhaps easiest to ask on sailings nearer your date to find out where they generally dock.
  15. Post#2. You need to book return transport on Roatan. Either private driver for the day, or return transport via the location you are visiting. Private driver is good value when you want to visit several places, or be flexible and have a group, but annoying and not cost effective, when you just want return transport A to B which is why we don’t usually bother anymore. It is time after all these years that Roatan developed a legitimate one-way taxi service.
  16. Interested to hear your review of Hayhu especially transport arrangements. There haven’t been many reviews especially since shut down and it would be good to know how it is now.
  17. It appeals to an entirely different market than Mr Sanchos and Paradise. There is really no comparison (other than they are all pushing AI now) but they all have their place. I have never actually been to Mr Sanchos (yet!) but I have been to the other two, and several AI resorts.
  18. Do you have other children or teens in your group? Are you looking for water toys (inflatables etc); or jets skis, kayaks, parasailing; snorkeling/helmet diving?
  19. So did you do PAYG even with a reservation? I thought they were only doing that on a space available basis?
  20. I am not sure if Nachi have returned to Pre-covid capacity, but it had increased to 130 over the years.
  21. Blue Reef? Website says $57 - is there a promotion? Most places in Costa Maya seem to be increasing prices.
  22. Recent activity will have no bearing on Dec/Jan. One suggestion would be to monitor webcam at 40Canones for the malecon and Maya Chan webcam if it is back up and running when they reopen.
  23. There are definitely steps and rail on this photo of the pool at Nachi from 2017 https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/11/29/excursion-focus-nachi-cocom-beach-break-review-cozumel-mexico although I agree older photos from @mitsugirly don’t show the steps, so I am wondering if they have been added since your last visit? I was interested because I didn’t remember having a problem on my last visit. There have definitely been reports of difficulty getting in and out of the ocean.
  24. Take a look at some of the hotel day passes through Island Marketing or Shore excursioneer or other brokers for ideas and then ask about specific places. I would have suggested Allegra but it would be touch and go if it has reopened by then after fire.
