  1. We just got off an B2B for a total of 11 nights on Navigator of the Seas. One of my favorite perks is the specialty coffee machines in the lounge. We were D+ in a suite. Went straight to Diamond Lounge upon boarding for a coffee. Coffee machine broken and Concierge not sure it would be fixed during entire cruise. It was not. Not happy but decided to use the Suite Lounge which was at the opposite end of the ship from our stateroom. That worked out until that machine stop working as well. They tried to fix but not able. I ended up using my drink vouchers for coffee at the Promenade Cafe. Luckily we are not big drinkers so always vouchers to use. We did use the suite lounge for quite time and evening cocktails. We were stunned at ladies coming in with only their bathing suits on getting drinks and snacks and then sitting down. Then there was the lady and her son (about 11) who came in again in only their bathing suits getting snacks and drinks. Next time they came in their bathrobes. That continued the whole cruise. The Concierge chatted and laughed with them but nothing about what they were wearing. Now all this being said we had a good cruise and what other people wear doesn't really bother me but this did seem a bit over the line. I kept my mouth shut and ordered another cocktail. lol
  2. Sorry to keep needing to ask about things I should already know but..... Is using FCC like using a credit card to pay? Does a TA still get their credit for the booking the cruise? TIA for any information you can share.
  3. Going to miss you once again as we don't board until February 10th. Have a great time with smooth seas.
  4. Yes there is but it is not included in the package. You can use your Starbucks gift cards or app to pay there but not your reward stars. Although they say you will gain your reward stars to your account. You can use the package at the Promenade Cafe and they make great drinks as well.
  5. Thank you folks. As always you are helpful. We have a TA but they didn't seem to know about D+ discounts. I am just disappointed that I thought it was a perk we earned only to realize only sometimes. Oh well we will still be sailing and that is a good thing. lol
  6. I know that I should know this but... I have looked at sailings using standard booking and then at a different time using our C&A numbers to see what our discount prices would be . They are the same both ways. Is the C&A discounts now only available on certain cruises? We have always gotten them in the past. TIA for any info you can share.
  7. None of it looks great. What ship are you on?
  8. We flew direct flight into LGB in November. It was very easy to manage even for us old folks. Called an Uber who arrived in less than five minutes. From airport to front door of Crown Plaza was about 20 minutes and cost was $30.00 plus tip. Hope this helps.
  9. thank you for your quick response. To be sure I understand, so even though we both spent all the money to reach D+ only one person actually gets rewarded for being loyal?
  10. Question We are both D+ should we each be getting a gift? We have been told it is only one gift per cabin and that is all we have been getting for years. Usually wine since they have little else but just wondering.
  11. And yet some of us request these items and are told they are no longer available. 9 cruises in 2022 and could not get a tote or towel. I will survive but seems strange.
  12. Did not know this. Can you share to make this work. We are sailing next month. TIA
  13. Keep us posted on what you find is really good. Enjoy your cruise to the max.
  14. I always look at the Vegan menu, as you said, they have some interesting items. I have found several of them to be very good. the melon and avocado salad especially.
  15. Parking is directly across from the ship and lots of it. No reservations needed. The cost is $20.00 per day. You go in park and pay when you leave. I think they only take cc but not sure about that part as that is what we use anyway. The lot is fully fenced in as well. We always park at the pier. I hope this information is helpful.
  16. We only do cash tips. When the server sets our drinks down we give them a tip that way the person taking care of us gets the money. We tipped every-time in the Suite Lounge and then an extra tip at the end of the cruise. All to the same person as he was so kind, funny and just a nice young man. He and the wonderful Concierge made a great team.
  17. We each get two free internet days per sailing so we don't buy it. Just like we don't buy the drink packages since we each get 5 complementary drinks a day and full use of the specialty coffee making in the lounge. Not bragging just sharing about how we save money now since we spent all the money getting to this level. The are wondering where their inheritance has gone. lol
  18. Just for giggles I looked this morning for our 4 night in February on the Navigator. With all now available discounts on Cyber Monday was still $200.00 more than when we booked while onboard the Radiance of the Seas in Oct. Not surprised and didn't really expect it to be lower but needed a laugh. We book what we want when we decide to book because we know their "sales" are most often a joke.
  19. Thank you. I thought maybe I was going to have to just book the entire month somehow. lol
  20. We were told that the PVP service no longer exists with Royal. I directly contacted two different people recommended by other on this board and received zero response from them. I usually handle everything myself but booked while onboard the Radiance in November and then turned everything over to a TA.
  21. We are booked on the February 17th sailing on the Navigator. However when I go to the website to look at the booking page it no long shows that sailing. It only shows sailings for February 3rd for a 3 night, 10th and 21th each for 7 nights. Any thoughts on what might be going on? TIA
  22. Writing this from the Radiance right now. No ship board charges cannot be accessed on the tv. We watched the videos the day before boarding at the hotel. Then went to check in at muster station. Took 5 minutes or less. There is a clock on the phone but hard to read. Most info is available via app but we alsi get printed compass every evening on our bed. Internet is VERY slow and only works part of the time. Hope this info is slightly helpful for some.
