  1. Thanks for the review! I haven’t been on the Sky in a couple cruises - she’s actually my favorite ship! Guess I need to book another cruise….I miss her!!
  2. I’ve been reading that it’s more difficult and expensive to get into Bermuda! I’m sailing from Greece next year and they also require covid test pre-embarkation. I’m tested frequently due to my employment - but I still have to pay for the “proctored” test for my 9/4 from NYC to Canada…..🥺 Hopefully this will all stop soon! As a side note, all my Canadian co-workers who cross the border daily for work said that they are talking about dropping the ArriveCan requirements….and it can’t be soon enough!
  3. I haven’t seen any patients with it yet - but I remember saying the exact same thing about Covid!
  4. Once you get a year of bedside nursing under your belt - the world is yours! If you can specialize - like ICU, ED, OB - you will make some major money! The only downside to that is you have to pay your own health insurance…..but it’ll be affordable! DO IT! I wish I would have gotten into travel nursing when I was younger…I’m too close to retirement now to leave my health system.
  5. DO IT! If have a BS, you’d be a second-degree student in nursing, classes are super fast and only about a year long! MSU has the second degree option - you can do this!
  6. We are seeing a whole bunch of prison nurses coming through our health system. Thanks for everything you do there…..I know it’s a tough job! PS - should I say GO GREEN for the MSU part of your screen name? If so, consider it done!!
  7. We can’t keep staff at the hospitals with great pay, great benefits and sign on bonuses. I work with new hire onboarding…..we bring them in this week and they’re gone the next!
  8. I’m thankful for vastly different experiences sailing Haven aft. I’ve only been ghosted by the butler once - and that was in a 2BR Haven suite in the Haven proper. I’ve sailed Haven aft a couple times - and had the best service ever! I’m sorry your experience wasn’t as good as mine were……🥺
  9. That’s what my TA told me when I asked him……
  10. My sister had the birthday package set up for me on embarkation day…a couple signs, balloons and a birthday cake. It was all there when I first got to my cabin - it probably took the room steward about 5 minutes to put it up! I say GO FOR IT! Have her room decorated! If it makes her smile, you’ve made her day!
  11. I’ve been following you! Thanks for letting us cruise with you this past week! I’ll be in 16124 in 6 weeks….
  12. As somebody already asked….which suite(s) were effected by this? I want to be prepared when I board in a couple weeks. TIA
  13. I’ve been there when the butler is delivering the snacks….and tipping is up to the tipper.
  14. @Coastalbreezes I agree! I’ve been ghosted by a butler (and let the concierge know) after meeting him on the first day. I always wait until the last night to make arrangements for the tip via guest services. I don’t ask for much and typically tip $10/day/person unless I’m sailing solo, then I just give a flat $100 for the week. And honestly, I’ve never used the butler for anything beyond the daily treats…..I’m OK with doing things for myself.
  15. I get it! We are only allowed the breakaway lanyards at work as well! Too many fools out there who want to choke nurses and physicians with their lanyards!
  16. They sometimes hold a certain percentage of excursion spaces for those who want to book on the ship. I’d make sure the excursion desk is the first place I’d go to once onboard as that would be your best chance at getting what you wanted.
  17. NCL Cabin/Ship Card This is the title of the thread…..
  18. Thanks! I would have posted the link to the thread…..but I sure couldn’t figure out how to do that! 😬
  19. Just make sure it’s one that doesn’t require a hole punch. There is another thread on here that talks about the RFID chip that is implanted in them.
  20. @HBCcruiser I’m not sailing until September and this can change, but who is the concierge currently? I’m just curious if it will be one that I’ve sailed with before. 😎
  21. No matter what happens during the day, I always book a speciality dinner the last night of the cruise….and I’m usually crying in my soup! 😆
  22. I’ll be boarding the Breakaway 7 loooong weeks from today! Thanks for letting us cruise with you!
  23. I just ordered the test from eMed for my September cruise. Just so I’m prepared, will I need a charge card to pay the proctor or is that included in the cost of the tests?? TIA
