  1. I’m thankful the US doesn’t have the unfair issues you have in the UK. I’ve no doubt there are some agents here that are unscrupulous, but goodness you all seem to have a lot of them.
  2. I realize that. Sorry, just trying to be helpful.
  3. I think you missed the boat. Azamara and celebrity no longer acknowledge the others status, if that was the only reason you were going to give Azamara a try. You still should though!!
  4. Perhaps they’re working on changing port hours or tours. Give it a few days and then contact your travel agent
  5. It is true that your travel agent will need to cancel the booking, however it should be able to be done in a way that you will not risk losing your current cabin. Your TA can email the future cruise desk onboard the ship to coordinate it.
  6. Celebrity is still doing it. Meant cruise lines are now offering a cheaper, non refundable cruise only fare. Azamara is not one of them.
  7. Did you book with a travel agent? They can contact their Azamara rep and that should get you some kind of response.
  8. No they do not. If you need to cancel your cruise, Azamara will retain 150.00 per stateroom and will refund the rest, in the US at least. There is not a discounted non refundable rate like other lines have begun to offer.
  9. We’ve used a company called Jayride that is basically like a broker, and have found very reasonably priced private transfers throughout Europe. If you decide not to use obc, may be worth checking them out. We’ve also used Joe Banana Limos for private transportation in Italy and have always been very happy with their service.
  10. Why would you want to end a wonderful trip with the stress of catching busses and trains? I guess for us, saving a few dollars isn’t worth the stress.
  11. The ones we’ve taken have been fair in size, from 12 to maybe 25 guests. We did go on one post Covid when cruising had just started up again that was larger, however we were put on two buses to provide distance in the seating.
  12. We normally book CC’s, but have had some V1 balconies, an ocean view, and club ocean in the past. We were told we could book any type of cabin that we wanted.
  13. We used our six nights on a seven night cruise; an owners suite for less than the cost of an inside, so yes it does work. As others have said you need to do your homework. Another good reason to work with a travel agent.
  14. I agree, it's best to book a cabin you're going to be happy with. Why take chances if location and view are important to you?
  15. I believe dinner served from the main dining room in all suite categories. I think you can get specialty dining menus in the big suites
  16. Every cruise line has long hold times. Gowilk is correct. I looked at a couple of other cruise websites and neither specifically mentioned steamers.
  17. Thank you for sharing your experience with us! I’m glad you enjoyed your cruise. I personally think that the break from RCCL will bring lots of positive changes to Azamara. I’ve looked at a couple cruises on Celebrity as we have friends who would like us to join them, but the retreat prices are ridiculously high. I think we’ll stick with Azamara.
  18. There was a line of taxis when we disembarked last year. If there are more than two of you traveling together, I’d recommend hiring a private transfer beforehand
  19. I don’t think any of the chef’s table courses were anything like the specialty restaurant offerings. Everything about the chef’s tables is unique! We dine every night in the specialties so have some experience with what’s offered.
  20. We were on Journey and Quest last summer and had the QR code all three cruises. I returned them all and had responses from several different managers regarding my comments within minutes to hours of completing them. I truly believe that if issues arise and are brought to management in a civil fashion you are in turn responded to civilly. If you act like a jerk towards the crew and officers, yelling and acting out, I don’t blame any of them for being defensive and perhaps not warm and accommodating. We had someone on one of our Quest cruises in August who was called out (not by name obviously) by the captain shipwide for their behavior towards crew, and told in no uncertain terms that if they did it again they would be escorted off the ship.
  21. We’ve done a few b2b’s the last couple of years, and there was lots of deep cleaning being done. We were asked to stay out of certain areas because of the cleaning during the turnaround hours.
  22. We’ve stayed in a far aft cabin, and it’s the only place now that our friends stay. We’ve not encountered strong vibrations. Certainly nothing that affected our comfort.
  23. Azamara is not the only cruise line that had to cancel stops in NZ; Celebrity canceled several on an upcoming cruise and I have no doubt other lines have also had to.
