  1. Luna Rossa, the production company for the Voices, has just announced that its beginning to wind down on SS. Looks like we may be getting something new on the Shadow for the WC. I do find it strange that nothing has been forthcoming from SS about this.
  2. The dress code downgrade continues, Informal last night seems to have become Jacket optional, with the ‘just off the beach’ look much in evidence.
  3. But what is the point of that, they have always stated that you cannot pick and mix, even though that was the original intention.
  4. And there was me thinking he was the Ent director of SS and the architect of the Artists of Silversea with Choosi back in 2012.
  5. We once moved on the Wind and found that our Vista drawers (the wooden ones if you are over thinking) wouldn’t fit in the new suite. DW was not a happy bunny.
  6. Head count about 530, waiting for Indochine closure answer.
  7. It was mentioned by another guest that it was closed on August 18th, and probably since. When we were on the WC one thing they were not short of was Tiki, Champagne was another matter!
  8. Indochine still closed and no Tiki (in fact no New Zealand SB at all) onboard.
  9. Most recently it has been the Mandarin Oriental, but you should check direct with SS.
  10. I agree that you are being stiffed, why not cancel and get your money refunded. Even if you are in a cancellation period this change has to be considered as a major material change.
  11. Quite often wine and/or champagne tastings. Never heard of a wine dinner though. It may be worthwhile having a word with the head sommelier when you board.
  12. Deck 4,5 and 6 forward. You get significant anchor chain noise.
  13. Probably for most people, but then it was only a 3/4 sized tub.
  14. Fair enough, but you might have to wait for some considerable time. As an alternative visit the Panorama, order a cocktail and have waiter bring it to the Obs Lounge.
  15. Not unless there is a private party.
  16. Firstly, it’s good to see the Atlantide MD sticking to the dress code. I trust he was polite. The issue with cilantro probably has more to do with the fact that the meal has been partly pre-prepared and the galley hasn’t time to make a new one, especially early in a busy service. It’s a shame but probably a fact of life. BTW what was the dish? One of the things about fine dining is pacing, so the times seem reasonable. Hope you are having a good time and thanks for posting.
  17. Happy to go for lunch, but the dinner is not worth it it IMHO.
  18. It has been mentioned a number of times on these boards since the restart.
  19. There will be morning and afternoon lectures, cooking demonstrations, bingo, trivia, golf putting, bridge lectures in the morning, duplicate in the afternoon and of course the highlights of an ocean crossing, eating, drinking, relaxing and making new friends.
  20. Thanks for providing the Celebrity package. A couple of comments, the wine is rather US orientated and the Villa Maria SB is cheaper here in the UK than SS’s standard pour of Tiki SB. If your are a spirits or beer drinker I get your point.
