  1. I believe you would have to arrange it with guest services, and I think I have read here recently you can have them program your medallions to open both rooms. EM
  2. Most likely you will be seated with others. EM
  3. Actually, a temp used to be only good for 6 months. Back in 1988 I was on a group tour that gathered in SFO. The tour escort handed out envelops of docs, etc., and passports of those who had sent them to the agency to get their visas. One woman had been registered on another tour that was cancelled, so she transferred to this one and expected the agency to transfer her passport. They didn’t. She had to stay in SFO and get a same day passport, joined us a couple days later in Hong Kong. I think the tour was two weeks, visiting HK, Bangkok, Singapore and Bali. When we got to Bali, there was a problem at immigration. Indonesia required six months remaining on passport. Her temp was now short of six months. With a little money under the table by the escort, she was allowed in. EM
  4. They do not recycle seven day menus. Some items may reappear, maybe with different sides, but the whole menu won’t repeat. EM
  5. Au contraire…they took CARNIVAL SPLENDOR around South America with passengers…before the new locks were open. EM
  6. I would be looking at Royal Caribbean, for ships that have Royal Babies and Tots. That's sort of bby sitting, from what I understand, not free. Otherwise, I would be going with the understanding that the toddler will be my responsibility, not the ships. I would be booking a ship to please the others in the group. EM
  7. First, Caribbean will transit the new locks, so there will not be any touching the side of the lock. The picture I posted above is a capture of the webcam at Agua Clara locks. The cams can be found here: https://multimedia.panama-canal.com/
  8. When cruising first restarted during Covid, guests were required to book ship excursions and stay with the group. Otherwise they couldn’t leave the ship. And if they skipped out of the group, they were not allowed to reboard. Don’t think there are any such restrictions now, unless required by the country or port visited. EM
  9. The picture above is Emerald Princess, but the bow is the same. The dark strip is the covered observation area. EM
  10. Sorry, but that image could not have been taken from deck 8 bow, as that location is below that mast. You were probably on the observation area above the bridge. I will try to post a pic of the bow…
  11. I am not sure there will be room service the last morning. Breakfast will start early, continental by 0600…. Agree about international cafe. EM
  12. As long as that closed loop does not visit Guadeloupe or Martinique. EM
  13. I’ve been retired for a lot of years, but not all hospitals I worked in gave souvenir BC with footprints. But for many years we had a sheet of shiny paper that we put the footprints on and it stayed in the chart. I think it started as an attempt at ID, like fingerprints, when infant abduction was a problem. By the time I retired we had stopped doing that, but we still had the ink pads for the occasions parents had a baby book that had a page for the footprints. And sometimes handprints…and boy, are they difficult to do. EM
  14. Best place for this question is on the board here for Carnival. EM
  15. Sign up for email specials from all of the lines that interest you. Keep checking the websites for cruises leaving soon from your chosen ports. And keep an eye on the weather, and natural disasters. And keep your documents up to date and handy for that last minute trip. With Carnival, you can call and book in the morning and sail in the afternoon. Other lines you may have to book the day before. A few years ago when a hurricane devastated Puerto Rico, Carnival Fascination had nowhere to go, as she was home ported there. When it became obvious she couldn’t get back there for awhile, they brought her to JAX for a couple cruises, called some casino regulars (it was reported on the Carnival board here) and offered them a free cabin if they could sail that day. I am not a casino person, but I called and got a really cheap cruise on her out of Port Canaveral. Keep searching…I would not rely on a TA to find them for you. EM
  16. Laundries are closed after 10pm so you should not have noise from them. I would look at the cabins on Caribe deck, C404 and higher. None of the balconies hold more than two guests. Up I would avoid cabins that but up against the white area, which is crew service areas. EM
  17. Yes, they are fire doors. You will hopefully never see them closed. EM
  18. I just did my online renewal tonight. Once I got on the right device, it was easy. I was trying to do it on my iPad and it kept telling me to download Chrome, but I was already in chrome. But I finally realized if I was to do it on Apple it had to be a Mac, which I don’t have. Maybe the iPhone would have worked, but screen too small for me. Anyway, I hooked up the iPad to my Surface Pro and transferred the pictures. After that it was easy. No expediting, will see how long it takes. I went to CVS to have pics taken, and had them also take with my phone. Now, just to wait. No travel plans currently, maybe something in March to Bahamas or Caribbean and I can use BC if necessary. In 50 years of travel, never done it without a passport. EM
  19. Seems to be a common theme on the cruise line boards. Everyone traveling in a suite has to ask questions…just so everyone else knows they are in a suite. EM
  20. Your picture isn’t showing for me, but here is a pic from the bridge am of NCL Bliss today:
  21. This is what the outlets look like on Divina. You can get plugs with dual USB-C connections, and you can get adapters for regular USB connections to USB-C. These came from Amazon in a package of three. Lots of great stuff on Amazon. EM
  22. Do you want to cruise from the UK, or will you be flying to departure port? Canaries are popular with Brits for warm weather. Several lines have fly/cruise vacations there. EM
  23. If you can bypass the credit card thing, do it. On MSC, credit cards are registered at a kiosk onboard within the first two days. I have a couple of cubes that have outlets on four sides and usb ports on the top. But all of the outlets are US style, and before usb-c became a thing. One has changeable adapters so it can be plugged into EU sockets. I find that the only item I travel with that needs a plug is my Surface Pro. The other items use usb cords so I take multi plug cords for kindle, iPad, watch, iPhone. Only the watch is new enough to require a usb-c plug. Keep searching…. EM
  24. Immigration entering the US will be at MCO. When you are reentering the US from the cruise it will be in the terminal at Port Canaveral. EM
  25. My Choice dining is standard with Aurea and Aurea only. EM
