  1. On the daily program that you get on embarkation there is a small paragraph about dining and it tells you where to go to request adjustments. EM Adding pics from Seaside, location will differ on your ship. Dining blurb is on backside.

  3. I was on Elation earlier this month in a 1A cabin. There was only the stool at the desk. No night stand. (I later realized the little stand by the desk was the night stand). I put the stool next to the bed as nightstand and asked my steward if he could get me a chair. Not an hour later he was at the door with a chair, I think a refugee from the aft MDR.
  4. Three ships today. Emerald Princess doing a partial through the new locks, Oosterdam and Hamburg westbound through original locks. emerald was first, Oosterdam following slowly, and Hamburg pretty much opted for a night transit.
  5. You might ask on the ports of call board here for Japan. There are also Roll Calls for both legs of your cruise, one for the 10 days from March 28. The other is for the 20 days starting April 7, and will cover the last ten days of your cruise. roll Valls are where you can connect with other CC members who will be sailing with you. They will be full of plans for independent excursions. To find these roll calls, go back to the main boards page, scroll down to Roll Calls, click on Princess, then Diamond Princess, and scroll down looking for a thread with the dates for your cruise’s. The one for the 28th is near the top, the one for April 7 is further down. EM
  6. I got a pack of two of these from Amazon on recommendation from someone on CC. They are rechargeable via usb cable. High and low light setting. Motion activated. Magnet on the back, on, off and auto settings. On MSC I placed it on the wall across from the toilet. Goes off after 20 sec. But the slightest motion turns it back on. On Carnival my bathroom walls weren’t magnetic so it was on the door frame, still just across from the toilet. EM
  7. Four ships today, 11/19. Three cruise ships and a military ship. Rotterdam partial transit through new locks; Royal Clipper full eastbound transit; Viking Mars partial transit old locks; MV Cape Orlando, Ro-Ro part of the US Reserve Fleet.
  8. This is their website. They are selling it in the PX and apparently soldiers like it. https://travelwifi.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzI-Vj_DQggMVbalaBR3F0AaNEAAYASAAEgLPaPD_BwE
  9. It’s somewhere in the Live from by @Saint Greg. EM
  10. Here are the top and bottom of the ‘pass’. Had to crop to hide my name.
  11. I didn’t notice any difference…However, just now I noticed something new to me in the app. I have downloaded my eticket, printed what I need for a cruise 18 days away…but now when I signed into the app, at the bottom it says View boarding pass. When you click on that you get a boarding pass with a QR code . Above it it says Show your QR code to MSC staff members upon request. On the pass itself it says Show the QR at the terminal. I swear this wasn’t there for my August cruises…
  12. I had no trouble finding it, now up to page 6. Just went to Roll Calls, Princess, Enchanted Princess, and scrolled down. Sometimes the old fashioned way is the best. EM
  13. Can I ask what brand your router is? I have been considering an international hotspot from sapphire, intending it to use in ports. But I was wondering today if it could be used like the router onboard. EM
  14. I believe the package prices you see online are already discounted from what you will pay is booking onboard. Don’t know about excursions. EM
  15. This will give you an idea, as these pics are from Seaside with slightly different design. For instance, there is only one buffet location on Seashore/Seascape. I suspect the bars will have different names. Seashore is returning today from her first cruise from the US this season. Hours might have been different on European cruises. So, until someone comes along who has been on Seascape ( and not in Yacht Club) and posts from their daily programs… The buffet changes every day, at least at lunch. I never went there for dinner.
  16. It might be in @Saint Greg’s thread, maybe in the Chef’s table section, probably in the folder he didn’t open…EM
  17. Royal Clipper went through Friday 11/17 Its my fate to have a big cargo ship block the best view…
  18. You must be on the Silver Star, as Silver Meteor doesn’t go into Tampa. We rode the Silver Meteor to Tampa for a cruise, it the portion from Orlando to Tampa was on an Ambus (Amtrak bus). At that time there was nothing happening at the Tampa station which was rather grand. We could not get a taxi to pick us up to go to our hotel. We finally called the hotel and they sent a bus company they use as a shuttle, very minimal fee. This was in 2017. I would do it again if I could be assured of transport. I did sign up for Uber but have never used them. EM
  19. I was on a cruise a number of years ago and one of the ladies at my table had had both knees replaced, about six weeks apart. After the second surgery, there was no rehab bed available so she was rehabbing in a nursing home, and depressed. She begged her doc to let her go home. He told her she could go home if she had someone to make her bed and cook for her, and a place to walk. She told him she knew exactly where she could get that, and booked at least three cruises B2B. She moved slow, with a cane but no other assistive devices. Sailing solo. EM
  20. I did a Live from on Seaside in August and posted copious pics from my phone with the browse package. The one thing that frustrated me was that I wanted to post from my iPad but the pics didn’t populate over from the phone as they do at home. So mostly I did it on my phone. EM
  21. Nobody CHeck’s your arrival time at the port. Your eTicket is page 2 of those 20 or so pages, the one with the bar code on it. EM
  22. In reference to your flags thing…I was on MSC Seaside in August and one day they had Visual Trivia: flags. I didn’t go, but I’m back on MSC in December (different ship) and if they offer it again I’ll check it out. EM
